76 FTW. This is a particularly interesting video as it allows for multiple direct comparisons between the coil-rear Prado, and leaf-rear 76. Everyone knows the 70's don't flex, but the difference was not as big as I would have thought. Factory F+R lockers on the 70 certainly help a lot on the current model. Thanks for the video
Yea it’s a nice car for sure. The Prado definitely has more rear flex but the 76 did a great job 👍🏻 his 76 is twin locked though where as my Prado has no lockers, so that’s something to keep in mind. I wish the Prado had a live front end, would be unstoppable then. I like how robust the 76 is. Thanks for watching!
@@FreedomInMindtv I do have a prado question you might be able to help with ... So we have the kdj95 , we use it for a family adventure vehicle , camping , climbing trips ... but I also use it for scuba trips, I have found that when we load all the scuba cylinders , kit and lead in the back she seems to sit a little low on the bk , A few people have said that the prado is softly sprung and thats how they are ? Im happy to swap out the suspension if its an issue tho in the uk there's not as many options , prob be old man emu which is a bit stiffer and lifts 2" ... Just thought id ask have you found the stock suspension to be fairly soft and floaty , is this just how these are ... my last 4bee was a defender and that was way firmer .. Cheers fella , again like the vids , the wife has been watching them too ..
Solid video! That 90s series, is that with the 3RZ engine? Where are you getting your genuine and aftermarket support from? Im currently waiting for my 90 to arrive from Japan. I cant wait! Your video has given me the inspiration..... Keepem coming!
If you remove the over-fenders and rocker panel cladding on the flared-fender versions; will it look exactly like you narrow-fender model? Obviously after filling in any body holes left behind.
Awesome adventure. My boy has a 97 Prado it's v6 petrol but is talking about needing a diesel for river crossings.D you think a snorkel Will help with deeper river crossings or will it still drown The engine?
Snorkel will definitely help. Petrols can do river crossings too, I’ve had water over my bonnet with no issues. It’s just important to make sure all your electrical ignition components are well sealed 👍🏻
it's a beautiful spot out there in and around Turon National Park .... good to see you have a nice trip away with mates. You've had a shocker though ... just a couple of things for all to remember as this affects EVERYONE wanting to go out in our NP's - : you're not allowed to use a chainsaw in a National Park to cut up firewood : you're sure as hell not allowed to collect firewood from within a National Park, even if it's laying on the ground ( and clearly from the footage you didn't take it in with you ) : you're not allowed to smoke in a National Park and lastly : you're not allowed to fly drones in a National Park ... You're on fire champ ! Not having a go but more as a reminder for everyone going into National Parks that your trip and your actions can have serious ramifications for all of us who want to use these beautiful places to relax in. Please do the right thing and consider how it can affect others too.
Nice video man. Good to see the Prado in action. 👍🏻
Thanks mate! Yea she’s come a long way since we got her stuck in that puddle 😂

rear diff lock?
Hauptsache Ohrenschützer bei der Akkusäge. Schnitthose, Brille egal. I like you guys very much ..Toyota s best
How does the 2.7L go?
It goes surprisingly well to be honest, faster than the diesel option if you don’t need to tow
@@FreedomInMindtv Any mods planned for the engine?
