I've probably commented this before, but I'm always noticing that Peaches is living the life. She gets to be with her best friend all the time. She lives in a nice, safe home. And that home moves to different places with different smells, different sights, and occasionally random free meat (apparently). What could be better? ❤
Door seals, aluminium floor panels and draft excluders can be the real difference between a good night’s sleep when travelling in a van. Also if all else fails get yourself a candle for when you’re absolutely desperate. A candle for heat and light can raise the spirits.
when you carry your refrigerator out of the doorand down thw stairs, I would reommend that you lay it down by the door, and then walk down the stairs outside then pick up your refrigerator from outside.
Ethan, you are a joy to watch. Since you often have trouble getting enough power, why don't you get some additional solar panels. That will help with charging in low sunlight. If there isn't enough room on the roof, consider ones that you place on the ground. The added benefit is you can put them directly in the sunlight away from trees. The cost of the panels will be less than the fuel you use to charge the battery. Get more battery while you're at it. ❤❤❤❤
It was clear to me in your last video you were stressed and the situation was potentially very dire. I think you did a great job under the circumstances and you underestimate how much your adventures are appreciated no matter how good (or bad) your editing skills are. It's very encouraging to me to see how positive and level headed you are in situations most of your viewers rarely ever see. You are an inspiration, Ethan. I sincerely appreciation your sharing your experiences and giving some of us the vicarious thrill of being out and about having one adventure after another. I recommend when you are out and about in hunting country, be sure to wear a bright orange vest or jacket. That makes you much more visible to hunters. Stay safe and take good care. Peace! 😁❤
Ethan, can you believe how nice , insightful and caring your fans are? Listen to this gentleman's comments, very insightful! (I can't wait to see Peaches and Ethan in their new matching designer 😂orange reflective safety vests.)
Ethan a life hack for you. Buy an electric matress warmer. It fits over your mattress and the heat is adjustable. If its warm just turn it off. Hope that helps. Good luck.
@@tafloyd2 Electric blankets are awesome, but heat rises, so the heat from a mattress warmer gets trapped by the sheets and blankets and absorbs directly into your body. I have one on my massage table and it does a fantastic job keeping people with builds like Ethan's comfortable without having to turn my studio into a sauna.
Next time you want to take your fridge outside, put it on the floor within reach of the door, then climb down the steps empty-handed and reach in to pull it out when you're on the ground. Safer for you and safer for the fridge.
Ethan look into Honda generators. Small and quiet. They have plenty of power for what you need. Also look into propane catalytic heaters. They are frameless low carbon monoxide heat source. I’ve used them in my cabin tent in Colorado and my 5th wheel. Those don’t require electricity to run and are portable. Available on amazon. Another suggestion is a low temp sleeping bag. Down will compact so minimal storage issue. Just for those cold nights. And they’re nice to cuddle in outside to stargaze comfortably. Love your content btw.
Look at the smallest PowerSmart 1500 inverter gas generator. It's fully enclosed and puts out 1,000 watts, runs very quiet and is lightweight with a top handle for easy carrying. Great investment
Sportsman 1000 watt inverter generator $179 at tractor supply I have two of them they are very lightweight and compact. I use one on my sailboat its really quiet and sips gas. perfect for charging batteries.
Came to say the same thing. A little honda generator would be making hardly any noise and would definitely be able to charge those batteries along with run what needs to run.
Dismal Falls is in a region I know well. In the eighties, I lived in Atlanta and often made a summer trip home to the Finger Lakes in Western NY State. The Finger Lakes is a beautiful region with historic and cultural aspects, also thriving wine and tourism industries since about 1850. I passed through Western Virginia via Interstate 77, usually on my motorcycle. It's a 1,000-mile trip with the Dismal Falls area about halfway. I'd usually rest between Wythville, VA and Princeton WV, often at a friend's farm near Princeton with an interesting mile-long driveway. The farmers were not fond of wearing clothing and the farm's primary crops were garden vegetables and very healthy cannabis.
Ethan! I don't know if it is the haircut or what, but you look so refreshed and happy since I watched other of your videos. Keep it up! good vibes and good things to you.
The best things about your channel is that you teach valuable skills that are needed when your travel and camp at different places here in the US. Also, you are very naturally funny. Two things: take trash out every chance you get and keep cardboard until you can safely burn it.
Ethan if you have storage space look into a portable generator. They run off gas and plug into your camper., like shore power, to charge your battery. Good luck! Nice buns btw!
Peaches is so sweet Ethan. If you hit hard times, and you are in Northern Illinois, you always have a warm place to stay at my house. No strings attached, just friendship, good meals, and a warm bed. You are such a sweetheart.
Just want to say I'm continually in awe of what you do, where you go and how you deal positively with stressful situations at your age. Also, a propane torch starts campfires really quickly and easily even in windy conditions.
Kudos to you for "hanging in there" when you are challenged with unexpected difficulties. You are a resourceful and talented man. I'm sending you positive thoughts and prayers for your continued safety and happiness. Hope you and Peaches have a warm Thanksgiving. 🫂❤️🦃

Highly recommend having a couple thick pure wool blankets, they will keep you warm during the night. Military wool blankets, if you can find them, tend to be good. Add wool hat, wool socks, and wool gloves. Feel free to get merino wool pyjamas too. Wool is simply amazing in very cold weather. If you can find a bivvy bag or thicker rescue blanket to keep under yourself as you sleep, even better. TBH, having a bivvy bag seems like an emergency necessity for any camper or vanlifer.

Definitely worth looking into. I do not know how much power the current generations of electric blankets consume, but I do know that back in college we slept in a cold air dorm with the windows wide open in the dead of winter.
