Well said. If they're really serious about getting their message out there they'll be willing to invest. It's less about whether or not they have money and more about what they want to spend it on.
I have a non profit and a business and my business pay for my non profit. I just now have started taking donations because people see what I do and rather invest in the community instead of paying it to the gov..It's a tax right off but at least you helping a good cause..
Only large scale non profit organizations work like this…usually local/smaller ones don’t. For the ppl who are living in the communities they’re serving, this isn’t the case
If a npo has a noble cause, and the person who does most of the work receives minimal compensation, what is wrong with them asking for support? This is a very jaded generalization that throws all npos into a category where MOST do not live. Not cool.
They say they are "non-profit', but are they really? How many people that are destitute and homeless are actually being helped with your cash/ money donations? Who's pocket is the donation going into to? How much of that proceeed is used to help the less fortunate and needy?
I’m starting 2-3 nonprofits in Oregon. Taking my time, doing it right, with FULL transparency. Any CEO/founder using funds beyond what is essential, should not run a nonprofit because they could be doing more. I work 45hr weeks and make under $54k yr; WITH a family of 6. I have ran the numbers and a genuine nonprofit president only “needs” $80-90k per year in today’s economy if they budget and are fully transparent. 😎✌🏾🪶
The challenge with a lot of None Profits is they treat their Organization not like a real business. They spend money like its not theirs, and they don't invest it properly like a for profit business. ALL None Profits need to manage their organization with the same intent to MAKE PROFIT. If your books are in the RED, even if you got donors and volunteers, your organization will inevitably fail. Profit is the simplest way to measure weather your business is healthy or not. Unhealthy business are unsustainable.
I plan to see this money going for the cause. I’m the ceo and refuse to accept letter thank 80 k for a movement that will change early children education in the special needs community
My NP is small and not 3 years old yet. Almost, but I RUN IT like a business, only we really are broke we haven’t gained grants or angel donors but we still getting our mission served.
Not all of them are like this. Imagine if we can see all the companies that donated to charities because they are nonprofits versus companies that are just companies and they have not donated anything to charities. I like the ones that have public records it's not hard to look up
this so sad to hear when my nonprofit is to sponsor people. Unfortunately it took longer to start. People teach different things about nonprofit. Some courses scare people into submitting to that low stage of just begging thinking they can't even provide a service or pay their board when thats not tryi
Can a non profit make a profit? Under state and federal tax laws, however, as long as a nonprofit corporation is organized and operated for a recognized nonprofit purpose and has secured the proper tax exemptions, it can take in MORE MONEY THAN IT SPENDS TO CONDUCT ACTIVITES. In other word your nonprofit can make a profit. ( GOOGLE )
Finally another person who actually will look into it. Non profit isn't no money it's a business that doesn't sell a good. it's about servicing community's, helping others, education and sciences, etc. It's all about categorisation by the irs.
I agree with that but it’s hard selling value to a client who gets so much got free especially in the form of services. Yes you will get lucky sometime and get some who have to burn through cash. But not to the point where you can grow a business on. Plus they’d rather find other things to blow that budget on.

Yes, absolutely not all nonprofits are like this. We are nonprofit school a Christian organization and we pay 100% to take care of our K-12 kids who are in a poverty stricken situation.
Not really. People who have never filed business taxes say that a lot. (Not speaking direct to you) but keep in mind you can only write off so much per year. And write off never beats cash up front. If you have a good book keeper you can a million other things to write off in our industry.
non-profit ceos making millions is unheard of, but in for-profit businesses it is the norm. most non-profit ceos make 100-250k a year, well below traditional companies. check your facts before you spread misinformation please!
How ? Most churches give back to their community, have programs throughout the week, and pick up/drop off services; most of these are reinvestments from tithes and offerings.
Not all nonprofits are like this.
He said that too
He said that.
😂 Which are not and have paper proof?

"Non-profit" doesn't mean they don't make money.

Their mobile cause is to make money. So is mine
“Noble cause”. Lmao. Pretty much every organization has a noble cause. Including Boeing, google, and Catholic Church.
I legit received “do you have a non profit discount?”
Always felt this way! Glad you shed light on it.
Worked for a major non profit in my city coordinating media. My directors ALWAYS asked if we could work out a discount with vendors.
You right... I stopped with Non profits when I released the Amount they pay well known Actors to market for them.
They say they are "non-profit', but are they really?

We need to bring more light to this
Most I've connected with with research ARE as he saids minimum if any goes to the mission.
I plan to see this money going for the cause. I’m the ceo and refuse to accept letter thank 80 k for a movement that will change early children education in the special needs community

and the reality not many people knew that non profit actually makes a ton of profits and would pay less or pay nothing in taxes
Not all of them are like this. Imagine if we can see all the companies that donated to charities because they are nonprofits versus companies that are just companies and they have not donated anything to charities. I like the ones that have public records it's not hard to look up

Nonprofits aren't holy

Sounds like the same as going to a church.
