A quick look at the traditional sulphur matches that came as part of my brass tinderbox kit. These are great fun to play around with and a really useful addition to any fire kit.
Good job. A friend and I make these sometimes. We usually just split up some pine or other soft wood into little sticks. Then you melt some sulfur in a spoon above a candle or hexi cube and then dip the tip in a few times so it is a bit thicker. We never tapered the tip though. So I am going to have to try that because that lit way easier. We would usually blow on the char cloth with the match above it until it lit. Yours looked way easier to light.
Humble Trekker from what I understand they were pretty common in households and I assume they would have been used in the field given how convenient they are.
Links to your tin and leather case would awesome aswell. Nice looking set up. Great video.🙂👍👏👏👏👏💥👏💥💥💥🔥🔥🔥
Pack all your troubles in your old kit bag - Lucifer Matches in that popular WW1 song.
