They would have been a standard Happ 8 way (if you look in the parts lists that's what they're called). I have some and they're ok, but aren't made anymore. The iL's are the closest thing you'll get to them today and they are awesome. The comparable Happ today is the Happ competition and I'm not a fan.
Great Video! What monitor do you have in your MK2? I picked up a Killer Instinct and it has a Hanerex Polo 25 and needs to be capped, is yours a polo too? :)
You know, I honestly haven't really looked at it. It looked like a WG for the brief second I looked at it but since it has been working so well I haven't really messed with it. I will take a peek tonight when I get home and let you know. I am going to cap it eventually so there will be a video on that. Thanks for watching!
Brian, just to give you a little update. I cracked open my MK2 last night to install some new roms and it is indeed a WG K7000. I do have a couple Hantarex Polo 25 videos coming up though as I got one of those in another cabinet I picked up. Stay tuned!
Looking good, if the cold-stamped rivets showing through the artwork bothers you, might I recommend get poly-carbonate lamination? Boostin4HP offers this. I went with the normal stuff on my UMK3 from him the first time and was aware of the lamination option. When it came time to restore my MK1 I went with the lamination and I'm extremely happy with it. Gives it a commercial look and feel, a bit thicker so it covers the metal better. Dude, your MK2 is absolutely amazing. I am in complete awe. I love that you completely rebuilt it from the ground up with new MDF. So much dedication to one machine. And yeah that lamination looks really really nice. I'm going to keep that in mind when I pick up a UMK3. Once I put the lexan on I don't even notice the rivets anymore. I installed your rom set last night. You have really done such great work with it. I was worried little things would bother me because I'm mostly a purist with my games, but everything blends in with the original game so well you'd never think it was anything but a new revision. The combo meters are perfect, the addition of Goro's lair. My favorite thing so far, as dumb as it might be, is the alternate Liu Kang fatalities. I ALWAYS thought that fatality should do exactly what you made it do! So perfect. Keep up the great work man. I'll toss you some beer money to help feed the beast.
when you bolt it up to your cabinet do you have to realign the panel to where it meets up with the cabinet?
where did you get the torx security screws what did you write ?? the measure??
Great clean work!
and you made the plexiglass panel or does it already exist specifically for mortal kombat?
What gauge is that sheet metal?
Hey do you happen to know exactly which joystick they came with back in 93? Thanks

Who did your artwork? Looking for the same set up for a bartop arcade.
BoostinHP on KLOV. He makes a bunch of MK stuff. He might do custom stuff. Not sure. Good luck!
