      Thanks dude. My MK2 monitor actually died on me this week! So I threw the Polo that I did a repair on in an upcoming video series in there. Then I've got a repair video coming for the K7193 that I pulled out of it. Hey I noticed you have a MK2. Have you tried the MK2+ roms for it? They are awesome! mortalkombatplus.com/

      Sunken Canoe Arcade unfortunately I no longer have those cabinets 😞 ran into some issues and was forced to sell my baby's. But on a better note I just recently found a empty MK1 cabinet that I'm going to restore from the ground up. That's actually how I ran across your video looking up restore videos. When I had my cabinets I was barely starting out on fixing repairing and restoring but the one I will be restored from the ground-up it's literally just a MK1 cabinet painted black. I've never done a full restore so I have a lot of homework to do. Also congrats on the wedding 😊

      Aw dude you are going to have so much fun! Hey if it's painted that artwork might still be under there. You can try taking some magic erasers and some rubbing alcohol and rub the hell out of a spot to see if the art is still good. If it is, use some Citrus Strip to take that black paint off. That will save you a ton of money on the artwork. I'd assume they already butchered the control panel. boostin4hp on KLOV makes new metal and wood for the MKs. He also sells the artwork and will cut you a deal if you get them all at once. And thanks, my wife doesn't mind having a basement full of arcade games. She's pretty amazing.

    My MK2 has 3 connections on the switches? red, black and the color of the HP, LP and etc. How would they go on the switch?

    • @SunkenCanoeArcade
      @SunkenCanoeArcade  5 лет назад +1

      Are you talking the switch or the wire? There should only be 2 wires for each switch while the switch does have 3 terminals. You want the common/ground to go to each switch and the other wire for each button on the JAMMA/kick harness. The only time you'll have more than 2 wires to a switch is if you are running LEDs. I'm not sure what your red wire is but you might have to take a look at the jamma connecter and kick harness and figure out the wiring. Something might have been hacked up.

      @@SunkenCanoeArcade Yea idk I just took the old buttons off!! The switch was built in the buttons on the first generation MK2s

      @@SunkenCanoeArcade So the action button goes on the top and ground goes on the first on the 2 prong right???

    • @SunkenCanoeArcade
      @SunkenCanoeArcade  5 лет назад +1

      @@gnastyg7798 Technically the ground is on the outside and the button is on the NO prong or the middle one. Look here: www.kadevice.net/ldcMnPi.jpg

    Check voltages on the PCB with one of the TTLs. Find pin out for that chip and put it on vcc and ground. It needs to be 5v at the chip not at the power supply terminals.
