Gavin I apreciate you showing us these monitors. I myself am probably going the Gigabyte Version of this Panel. But for a better flow of your videos try to take some notes or something beforehand. They really feel a bit to rambly sometimes. I know this isn't your main business, so just a remark from my side. Cheers :)

Thanks for the video. If you compare these monitors with BenQ SW272U, what would you choose for color grading ?

I would actually get the SW272U as a UI monitor and the Sony A95L as your reference. That‘s the „budget“ sweetspot right now for me.

First you train on whaever material you can get your hands on . then you either try to get a foot in a place with good clients where you can get to do a junior post. or you get to know talented people (that make nice looking things for your reel with no money.) Get to know talented people on the way up in their career. when they grow up and start to get paid work they will take you with them. another tip rather do things for free then low pay then people cant complain (well they can but it really shows their character) What yioushould avoid is working with choosy beggars and talentless people (unless they pay) use the triangle of professional. Do free or cheap work if you can do it quickly and gain contacts. Do ugly or boring work if it pays well or opens up opputunities. Neve ever do work that are bad on all three fronts (time, money, and estetics) set your site on atleast two of them being good. When you have honed your skills get to know people who hire or plan projects either by trying to become a freelancer with a larger comany. (why you want that is because if a company starts to use you. they wouch for your quality. it takes time to build your reputation and network of people until you get calls yourself and even if you do it is hard to fill your time with only your own clients)
