I still dont understand why Hannah ( wendigo) killed the others wendigos, and the miners ( wendigos) worked as a team instead of fight eachother… do you know why?
Maybe Hannah was territorial, they were in the lodge when they started fighting. The miners also could have been working as a team due to some small piece of human still in them recognizing the others as former coworkers and that they were in the same boat, they could have also attacked Hannah for the same reason, she was unfamiliar to them.
It's possible that some part of Hannah still remained and didn't want to hurt Sam since she was the only one that didn't wanna do the prank. Well her and josh
Hannah is possessed by the strongest Wendigo, the others are only possessed by generic Wendigos. The strongest one has likely been tormenting it's lessers, hogging all the food, and flexing its power on them. It's like a group of bullied kids trying to gang up on the bully
So I went to see who cut the cord to the tower for it fall. I slowed the frames and it was a wendigo. Considering intelligence Hannah would probably still have some remarkable memory and relation to things around her. So her wendigo self still knew cutting it would make the tower fall. And she knew who was up there. The ones that were in the prank.
Some people say it’s a teaser for Until Dawn and Dead By Daylight collab but I severely doubt there’s any truth to that. Ok, can I ask why the guy says not to kill them? Yes their spirits aren’t hurt and they just go back to circling around the mountain but they can’t do any direct damage that way.
I hope this makes some sense what I say: So the intention is like not to kill the host so the spirit can’t „infect“ someone new. Like the spirits drives the people insane or whisper to them to eat human flesh. So if you lock them up the chances that the spirits bewitch someone else is low to nearly impossible. Sam flicked the light switch, killing all wendigo inside the house, The closet living thing to the house was Sam, so it attached itself to her. So when she wakes up, there's her blood on her arm, so she may have done it in her sleep, Then her vision goes red like she was turning into a wendigo because when your a wendigo you crave human meat. If you need me to explain why the wendigo attached itself to Sam. Here it is, too, just in case the curse of the wendigo happens, it attaches itself to the closest thing to continue the curse. So it will mess with their mind and body to make them crave meat. Like I said, Sam probably bit herself, and the wendigo are trying to get her to eat blood, meat, etc. Hope this helps!

The wendigo’s working with the humans to stop her at all cost was interesting I remember platinuming this game and one thing I hated was Hannah did all she could to kill your survivors, and the wendigo’s chose to stop her. The miners(wendigo’s) gave it their all and got wrecked. Hannah was a master at seeking revenge… too bad we couldn’t rescue her brother so we can watch him die with her.
The wendigos were NOT working with the humans. They didn't even know the humans were in the cabin. The second they saw Sam running to the door they immediately went after her too. Them fighting Hannah was personal beef, not some kinda "human+Wendigo alliance"
@@CDNBreadDogs at the very end of the game the two did work with the players, when they found out who was Hannah. I interpetted it as, the Makkapitew is a spirit that surrounds the mountain and the inpatient was possessed by it, not that the patient was the original.
@@angeliquebuissereth1203yeah, the game clearly states that the wendigo are the immortal spirits themselves, and the humans are only hosts for them. So while it’s likely the Makkapitew possessed an indigenous person at some point, it also was in the inpatient, and it was also in Hanna.
Yeah I realized that, the feathers heavily imply that the Makkapitew possessed an Indigenous by the time of Until Dawn but it's never stated the main character in The Inpatient whom also got possessed by the Makkapitew died, thus freeing the spirit. Plus if I recall correctly, at the end of The Inpatient we see the Hannah/Beth chase scene through the Makkapitews eyes
@@TaitLawrence-xl2xb the hunter mentions that he avenged Hannah and Beth in this video, so I guess the implication of that is that he killed the Impatienpitew right after they fell, leaving the spirit free to move over to Hannah later (the hunter didn’t know Hannah survived, after all).
@@AbeM. There's no implication, we see him kill the Makkapitew in The Events of The Past. I should have clarified, it was never stated that the player from The Inpatient died after being possessed by the Makkapitew thus allowing the Makkapitew to possess an Indigenous person
@@thatonebigstarwarsnerd8769Hannah kills sam if she fails the dont move. She can only recognize josh,or those whom cries out her name
@@fexusflawlessHannah can kill Josh too. Also Hannah catches the final Wendigo that was about to jump on Sam, pulling it away.
Hannah is possessed by the strongest Wendigo, the others are only possessed by generic Wendigos. The strongest one has likely been tormenting it's lessers, hogging all the food, and flexing its power on them. It's like a group of bullied kids trying to gang up on the bully
There was a game called “the inpatient” in ps4 to describe what happened to the miners
Lesson learned. Dont do pranks on a snowy mountain
I’m surprised you didn’t include the hunger totems.
And all because of a prank😔
Butterfly Effect after all
All it takes is a little push, a slip, to cause an avalanche.
I don’t think Beth would have dropped Hannah she probably would have just waited but just my opinion any thoughts questions comments etc 🙃
This game would’ve been infinitely better had all the characters been replaced by the cast of it’s always Sunny in Philadelphia
So true.
Agreed. Frank just running around with a propane tank burning the forest to deal with the weindigo.
is the last scene a new ending from the remake? if so, are there any theories what it could mean? like, what's with sam...
Some people say it’s a teaser for Until Dawn and Dead By Daylight collab but I severely doubt there’s any truth to that. Going through such lengths, creating such intrigue just to add the characters to the DBD base. Why can’t *the creators of DBD* announce it, it’s their game.
Haven’t seen any official theories but I sus Sam either got possessed by the spirit of wendigo that corrupts her mind that went weak enough for it from the recent events or Sam just went full-on mental due to said events and coping by taking drugs. Or both.
Probably the same case with Josh? Hallucination?
@@GuyChooo good point actually, Josh had similar hallucinations. 3rd prank incoming then. Or rather, Sam becomes the next wendigo hunter if the normal life doesn’t work out for her eventually.
The remake is cool but the PS3 beta version of the makkapithew was something else
oh no SAM, wait how did no one noticed she had that wendigo tooth on her arm years later 41:00
She dind't. Someone gave it to her that night.
@@oaktutor1154You think she did it herself without knowing?
@@brianachim2670 she was taking multiple drugs to help her through the trauma. But it could also be that someone, outside of herself, put it in her when we was unconcious.
@@oaktutor1154 Who would/could possibly do that to her and why?
@@brianachim2670 The same person to share a "connection" with her no doubt
I remember killing all of them for what they did to Hannah and beth only felt bad for wolf and the flamethrower guy, i wish that that their story/appeal in plot was longer
Why hate Sam and Chris? Chris did nothing because he and Josh were passed out drunk. Sam tried to stop the prank but arrived too late. Neither did anything to Hanah or Beth
@@queenofhearts9100
In the original(can't remember if the Remake changed this part), Sam had an easy way to stop the prank by waiting outside the room where they were planning on pulling it, but left(some people THINK to find Hannah, but its never confirmed why iirc). So she literally had the perfect setup to stop the prank if she wanted to...but she chose not to
@@QuickSilverKitsune in the OG Sam goes looking for Hannah, likely to stop her before getting close. We know this because she calls out for her friend before the scene switched.
Is the true ending where everyone lives including Josh or when everyone lives and Josh becomes a wendigo?
Why the old wendigo look different than when the spirt possesed Hannah? 4:38
Age and time, Hannah had the spirit for a full year, while the old one had it *WAAAAAAY* longer.
Jessica face at the credits look like she more terrified in the original she look tired
26:27 did anyone realized he wrote Matt insted of mike
19:15😂😂😂 I be wanting to do that to my lady sometimes
13:59 you can hear that hes not serious. Which is a detail which i didnt expect
Ok, can I ask why the guy says not to kill them? Yes their spirits aren’t hurt and they just go back to circling around the mountain but they can’t do any direct damage that way.
I hope this makes some sense what I say:
So the intention is like not to kill the host so the spirit can’t „infect“ someone new. Like the spirits drives the people insane or whisper to them to eat human flesh. So if you lock them up the chances that the spirits bewitch someone else is low to nearly impossible. But I think that’s just the lore in this game. In folklore there are no spirits, just the fact that you eat human flesh turns you and you will never be full always hungry.
Idk if I fully missed it on the OG version but in the remake you can see that Hannah's Wendigo version is wearing a panty.
She was in the original too, it’s just hard to see
@@prescottperfection6354 Yeah I watched an old gameplay to check and it was present but from watching this I realized that the in the OG Version Hannah Wendigo was very bright but now in the Remake she's more darker or should I say the lighting was done properly to notice many details.
12:47 break me off a piece of that kitkat bar
that's all i can ever think about when i see that one scene
There were 3 plus handigo in the lodge finale
you should do a video on what happened to Matt during the other chapters.
did you miss the one in the jar in the sanitorium?
12 to start
old mate killed 5
jar wendigo
hannah
mike kills two
sam kills one
hannah kills two in the lodge
We know from the VR prequel Inpatient, that the wendigos were there on the mountains for decades following the mine shaft incident, which later became the Asylum, which later became the Washingtons property when the dad bought it with his movie money. Remember that we play as an undercover reporter that went in as a patient/ or I think they find out who the person was and committed them forcefully and eventually they become one of the Wendigo we see in the first game if we get the right ending only
And this was on top of the Wendigo legend being centuries old to begin with, i for one want to see the property value of the Washington cabin, he had to have gotten it on the cheap with all the buried history
Same thing that happened to them in the original.
it has new alternate ending for Josh and Sam going insane after the event
I hate this movie, the guy who killed the wendigo could have told the family where they fell, one of them would be dead but the other would have lived and the wendigo would have never possessed her
Ah Until dawn.. not dying classic
Windigo thats also a name of a heavy diarrhea attack after al you can eat
really hope they do something soon with that ending with Sam.
I wonder if this got recommended to me because I’ve started listening to Skinwalker and Wendigo stories while working on some character sheets for a comic I’m making. lol.
Before the game came out my dad seen it on a Walmart shelf and he grabbed it and bought it the people of the gaming department begged him not to buy it because it wasn't the release date yet
I’ve never seen that last part with Sam. I’m not sure what that last part means.
I honestly like wendigo Josh ending then the new Josh ending because it's makes more sense then Josh being taken by han and some how being perfectly fine
30:12 but there are 3 Wendigos remain
I just noticed that some of the wendigos have teeth on their Tongue
What was that ending about? Curse of Thorn?
I cant really comprehend this game cos all of this is about normal life then a "spirit" or a "curse" got in... it's just... hard, its not like a bite or a virus that made them wendigo... but yea still a good game
That last part was new, did they add it to tease us the possibility for a sequel?
The miners were caught by diddy the wendigos were diddy
Can someone explain the final Sam scene for me?
@@Evil_Emthat's not how the curse works, you only turn into a wendigo if you eat humn flesh in the mountain
@@MiguelSanchezDelVillar I honestly forgot that ngl it was like 3am when I wrote this so
so wendigo hannah returns jess’s phone ??
Windagos are real and there no joke They say There Spirits of Native American who where banished By the great Spirit and that there thrust for hunger grows And grows until it the only thing they want and they will eat and kill there pray
2:13 hang on i need more booze
They ignored the humans and the noises and waited specifically for Hannah to be alerted. They took advantage and went only for her allowing the escape, its minor details easily overlooked. Her annoying scream to get Hannah’s attention would have gotten her killed if they wanted to do so, instead they waited for the right moment saving the humans.
You have to remember they were humans once before somehow instinct for them kicked in, kill the human or assist in killing Hannah ending the wendingo’s for good. It’s easy to not notice in the chaos unfolding, you’d have to rewatch and notice what they are doing and not pay attention to Hannah.
@@jamessimbeck one literally tries to kill sam as shes running out the door, it simply probably has to do with hannah not being part of the pack and so when she seems them move she goes for the attack and when they see her move they want to kill her to cause she aint part of there pack
@@Gragel_Fragelthe wendingo went for Hannah, not for the human and Hannah didn’t even made a sound. It was wendingo’s vs wendingo’s in that battle and the humans just trying to escape. Humans win, however due to the ending we might get more eventually. There was rumor they were in the starting phase so we might get more story of what was happening and why they wanted Hannah dead. Or visa versa, I feel Hannah wanted them to die as she stalked a few of them. The lore in the game doesn’t make much sense but the game overall was fire.
This game and Detroit human both were pretty good during release.
@@Gragel_Fragelactually I think you are right my apologies it’s been a few years since I played it I think Hannah actually saved Sam. It’s been way too long since I enjoyed the game I might redownload it to see if I can master it again.

why does the game look worse now than it did before
The numbering is off
Why is the video spazzing out
i pray that no one become'z a wendigo or suffer'z from the madness it make'z from hunger i just find it soooo odd how the south of mexico belived killing and the ritual eatting is ok for a group that was sooo bigger then we 1st thought so much so that the rain forest there was made from not looking after a farm like area which was older then farming were still doing work to find how they where sooo stable yet unstable at the same time...
i wish i could be a wendigo

Conclusion: it's all Hannah's fault. If she wasn't such a bad friend (going after someone else's boyfriend) and fragile snowflake unable to take a joke, none of these horrors would have happened.
That was a horrible and demeaning joke……I’d hate to see your friend group
I might take this side if Jess hadn’t ended up dating Mike. It’s clear that Jess had a thing for Mike and couldn’t take it out on Emily so she did it to Hannah. If Jess was such a loyal good friend she never would have gotten with Mike it was plain maliciousness for her to do that to Hannah.
