great video. can't wait to see you guys back in Florida. Question, I fly my Rev Kite here in Florida, and the white lines fade into the white sands here and when I am laying out the lines I always have to ask people to look out for the lines. Is there any way to get a set of lines that are colored? It would help sooo much when setting up the kite. thx
No way Greg Minor! You're living and learning just like the rest of us! We're just trying to help avoid a little frustration if that's possible! If you have any questions, don't be afraid to ask! Revolution is here for you!
New rev flier purchased a 1.5 used. My OEM Handel's an string arrived today. Plan to fly this weekend. Kite came with a full set of spar's. One says for professional use only.. The other set is lighter. Which ones should I use when learning and what wind speeds? I'm going through all the videos going to learn step by step as recommended thank you wonderful videos. 👍👍
Sounds like all your shafts are for light wind conditions. Don't fly in over 10 mph. Start simple, stay in control! A few hard crashes will break this light structure. You Can do it! Here is a video to help! ruclips.net/video/vpb-5xzuhq0/видео.html
Hi I have the EPX but line is 65 fits. I felt it’s too long. How do I shorten the line and whats next recommendation length for the shorten line and easy to control ? Thanks
After a few months of routine flying, should the lines be treated or re-conditioned? I get "line lock" after about 4 twists and my Rev becomes impossible to control. #90 at 65'. I've read that some guys treat their lines with silicone. I really don't want to put anything on them that will gunk them up.
Excellent question Thomas Farley! Flying in high winds and flying in wet, sandy conditions are a couple examples that can cause a lot of line friction which leads to more friction and more 'wear and tear' on your line set! Although I have 'carefully' recovered from well over 20 twists, it can be challenging for new pilots. I suggest not taking your spin count over 3 for general flying. For the most part you should keep your lines clear or at a 1/2 twist. Flying with twisted lines especially in high winds, and/or with sand on your lines, or even worse, with wet sand on your lines is a great way to wear your line set out in a hurry! I've heard of people using silicone spray on their line, but I don't think I have ever seen any experienced pilots use it. The best way to keep your line in good shape is to keep the twist count low while flying, and avoid the 'high-wear' conditions noted above. Spin your Rev to your heart's content, just don't spend extended periods of time flying while twisted!
10 minutes totally worthwhile - learned two things!
great video.

When I do mine line set I use two card winder one for left one for right you might have to walk twice one for each but it’s good for beginners.
Great solution Andy d! The key is to find what works for you and master it!
Awwww man. Something tells me you made this because of MY boneheaded blunder! You guys are almost as awesome as your kites...

Yes K Kesper, Longer lines are easier to control. Here is a quick video exploring line lengths: ruclips.net/video/EUyBKHpprF0/видео.html
