Over on Street 313 in TK across the from an abandoned "international" school, there is a Khmer couple who sell pork, egg, and pickled veggies with rice for $1.25 a serving. The pork is excellent. The are completely sold out be 9:00am everyday, so get there early.
What a great video! That food is an absolute steal and you didn’t even count the leftovers you must have had. Personally I can’t eat that much so I’d remove one meal and add the cost of coffee and beer and hopefully come out about the same. 😊
I'm a Khmer Canadian from Montreal. I can have almost the same food you are having here but the price will be 10 times more. Be poor in a rich country or be rich in a poor country?
I do the same--I average about 10usd a day for meals. It has become a personal challenge for me to find happiness in the healthiest, cheapest meals I can find. The lovely part is that it is doable here in SEA (for me Bangkok).
I used to eat out all the time in Asia. Now I prefer cooking myself. In Australia I think it costs me not much more than $20 a day for me, my wife and kid.
I've been doing about 12-15 dollars per day for the last two week, but include a latte in the morning and 1 or 2 beers in the evening. Phnom Pehn, and Cambodia in general, is a great place for good food from all over the world.
I don't think I've ever had it here... If so, it was minor. Maybe a tummy ache, but never vomiting. Pocari Sweat is probably a good drink to consume if you do have food poisoning though.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap really eh... Well you've gotten off lucky I guess... I've never traveled to southeast Asia, but I hear a lot of people get food poisoning... Although it's probably not as common as I may think. Thanks for the reply.
That was a great variety of meals. Healthy, tasty and cheap. Got to love S E Asia. I can never understand foregners going over there and stuffing their faces with western food and paying top $. Couldn't believe how much pork was in that Cambodian banh mi. Think I'd go with a little less meat but each to their own.
@@alonshalit5778 Mmmm for the fruits are Mango we like to eat it as a snack and it's healthy and one more is i think Durian it's quite expensive people like to eat it especially old people:). For vegetables grown i don't really know much.
Great experiences to try local food, but you definitely can’t eat out every day as the food contain plenty of seasoning like MSG, sugar and oil. Of course it s delicious but it will ruin your health.
I for one appreciate the intestinal fortitude it requires to produce such high quality varts through the consumption of various foods on a budget. Kudos to you Ryan
Wow! All of that food looks so good and most of it is probably healthy too. Better than Poutine and Maple Taffy, eh? I'm also subscribed to Woking Tour... Love that channel too.

Another good fun video Ryan - never change your style mate, you always have me giggling watching.
You're video is really creative and happy 👏
this is why i wanna move to cambodia!
very good video on this one!
Enjoyed watching your Ecuador videos before our trip. We are now in Manta, Ecuador and loving it.
Gym Chicken 😂!

congratulations hero
What's your thoughts on bread express? I haven't tried it yet
Great video, when we get over there I gotta try some of that cheap food. 13:30
7:50 you should have asked if they accept NFT 😁
Thought the Italian where I bumped into you last week was going to make this video..!
It should have. I always walk out of that place baffled by how inexpensive it is.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap Likewise, and the food always hits the spot.

Exactly. Experiences are greater than money, and I can afford to have more experiences in Cambodia.

Can you tell me the name and location of the Korean restaurant where you had the chicken and bibimbap?
It's called Wang Family. Street 460 - down the street from Trattoria Bella.
NICE VIDEO ....... maybe post a map or streets where you ate ....... a few i eat all the time .. some others never tried
Bee bim bop eh’… I’m gonna check out that golden pumpkin; looks killer 👍
All that food you ate in a day would cost about 50 dollars or more here in the states
Where was day 3 lunch? Khmer-style salad with squid
Tbal Khmer. They have a couple locations that I know of. TTP and Bkk1.
Really enjoyed this! You have a lot of fantastic options in Phnom Penh.
Some twenty years back , I was there and ordered a chicken ginger stir fry and the chicken was so tough that I couldn’t eat any of its meat.

Variety of food.. very yummy..
If you eat out of a trash can

That's good. For the record, none of the meals in this video include a drink.
How have you dealt with food poisoning? What is your remedy? Thanks itchy 🦶🦶

It was a lot more common 10 years ago, but things have gotten better, people have been educated.
Where is that $2 restaurant?
72 Restaurant

You could easily do $5 a day with just street food and a couple restaurants

I was the 100th like. I feel special.
HaHa classic Itchy Feet. Good one man. Potato Corner is bomb
i'd have been more impressed if you included some frog legs.
I Cambodian myself 10$ a day is just a lot of foods you can get in one day.
I’d say the meals are healthy too!
What are popular fruits and vegetables grown in Cambodia?

@@walterd69white I’ll look out for Cambodian mangoes 🥭 for sale. I love mangoes.
Is your challenge $10 a day for each person or for the both of yall?
Each person
You eat more in one day than I eat in 2 and a half days. I eat one healthy meal a day and at 6pm. Dessert is beer.
How many beers do you drink in a day though?
Great experiences to try local food, but you definitely can’t eat out every day as the food contain plenty of seasoning like MSG, sugar and oil. Of course it s delicious but it will ruin your health.
How do I get that pizza delivered here in Utah? Ryan?
I'll mail you some slices.

You are good at finding good foods. All of those look so delicious
Great fun video! Just discovered your channel. Love the Cambodian food and seeing the life style there! 😉
Where is the sandwich shop?

Im planning on eating out each meal today in Maine/New Brunswick and ummmm I do not think it will be ten dollars
For 3 meals? What are you eating?
Sitting here paying $70 for one family meal.
That burrito was way overpriced.
Mexican food is kind of expensive in Cambodia.
@@itchyfeetonthecheap Then again, a Burrito at a pleasant sit-down restaurant now costs a minimum of $10-$12 in the US these days.
Wish i could said the same thing here in Europe. food here is so expensive and taste like trash not gonna lie. can't wait to go back
you should link your second channel in the description
Don’t forget to tour the new Aeon Mall next week xD
Yes! I'll be there for the soft opening.
