I made a few of these using 1” pvc pipe and painted it black. You could also paint it to match the color of your walls so it blends with the room during the day. The pvc is lighter and less expensive than using steel.
Totally, PVC is a great alternative
I’m glad someone did this. Those FB/ Insta adds are scams from what I’ve read. Nice craftsmanship.
Maybury! Appreciate that brother. That’s where I was a month ago. You’re right, and the ones that are authentic are built with really cheap materials! Thanks for swinging by 🤙🏽 hope to see you again
and they aren't using smart led strips
they're totally scams. bought from 4 of them. 3 didnt ship my anything, and one sent me a microfiber cloth after 2 months. thankfully paypal came thru for me and I didn't lose any money, but they are 100% scams xD
They only lasts for fucking 2 months wtf!!! Tooo much money i've wasted almost $1000 for the 4 lamps including the shipping fee i could've buy a new iPhone 12 for that money. I made one refering to this video and now its almost 5 months
Great project...... Sweet Camaro in the background
Appreciate that!! Can’t take credit lol my brother-in-law’s lol
the simples ideas are mostly the best!! a very elegant solution! Nice 100 points
Why thank you!! Appreciate you stopping by!! 🤙🏽🤙🏽
You’re now at 1.01k subs... congrats!! Thanks for the dope video.
LavishClub SO STOKED!!! Appreciate you stopping by my guy 🤙🏽🤙🏽
gratz on the 1k subs m8,also great guidethrough
AHHH THANKS M8 APPRECIATE U SLIDING THROUGH
I think im going to try this with my mic stand. Those govee lights look good
followed even before the project started cus you’re so polite
😭 why thank you, glad to have you around!!! Welcome
Subscribed, you did EXACTLY what i was looking for on the first search i did. Great job and great job all around.
Chris Sullivan thank you Chris, really appreciate that!! Although I don’t always do DIY’s I always make it a point to get straight to the meat and potatoes of every video. Welcome, see you around 😎
@@wavgretzky Keep it up
the cars in the whole video parked tho, dayyyyyymn!
bro Hope you reach 100k soon. Awesome video
That’s the goal man!!! I can’t fathom a silver play button. That would UNREAL
THAT CAMARO IS SWEEET!!!!!
You've got a lot of Camaro's I see!!!
Haha my father-in-laws favorite car
WOW! That's freaking clean! Great job! I love the Govee LEDs, I use them on all of my arcade 1up mods. Have you tried their RGBIC leds? They give you the chasing rainbow effect because each LED is segmented plus you have all of the other features of the regular RGB. The only downside is they can't be cut. Keep up the great work and stay clean my brotha!
Havent used their RGBIC Leds yet but ill definitely give them a try! appreciate you stopping by again!! C you around Cmart
sick build. I think when I do this im going to cut the strips at the top when it loops back down and solder the leds together so theres no awkward bends in the led strips.
Totally. I was trying to figure this out. Because if you cut the strips the other half won’t work lol
@@wavgretzky as long as you solder the connections it should work. I've connected other leds across a gap that way and its worked fine. Just solder then put some hot glue on top of the connections.
I just got my LEDs today. Gonna give it a go tomorrow.
@@MykelWatersyeah you’re 100 percent right. update me if this works !
Nice work!
Thanks nik! I’m trying 😭
Brb taking welding class
Lmaooooo
Omgggggg so cleannnn 🔥👏🏾👏🏾 if I knew how to weld (or use a table saw for that matter lol) I’d be all over this!!
😭 lol I know it was a bit extra , pvc pipe is also an option
Wavgretzky yes but the steel is just too crispy!! I wonder if I could find some wood and do it with that?
strawberrymoss hmmm I’d stay away from wood just because some LED lights burn out and can be a fire hazard.
You know maybe you can find a metal beam and have some type of circular plate on the bottom you can insert it in too, that might be out there
Wavgretzky oh shoot yeah I guess I didn’t think about that part 😩 thanks!
Man this was sick. Produced so clean bro definitely keep this up! Let’s do a live video!
Bro Justin appreciate that!! I am down!!!!!!
I really admire your effort, great video overall! :)
Nökk your words are so kind. Hope I earned your sub!
This is awesome man! Very well done, you’ll get to 1,000 soon!
Harrison Liggett I’m stoked! Thanks for stopping by. Appreciate it!
Good job with this video bro!
gillynova thanks!!! Appreciate you stopping by. Hope to see you around again!
this was so sick, definitely going to try making one. Your content is insane and I wish you the best of luck!
Just realized I didnt get to respond to this! Thank you so much, for stopping by and I hope to see you around the Channel soon!
Ima do this thanks bro!!🙌
Hell yeah! Glad to see it my guy 🤙🏽
This is awesome and despite the DIY, it’s much better than paying like £200 or more to get one off the internet
lol facts. you can always make it with cheap PVC so thats always an option
This looks super good man, subbed
A Jon appreciate that Jon! I’ll keep supplying quality!!
this is so sick, definitely gonna try making this & wish you the best of luck, your content is insane
Rafael, appreciate that brother! It’s an easy build, you got this!
Great idea man, loved the idea of going around the legs for more light coverage! Subbed!
3FK, really appreciate that!! Yeah totally, I had the slack I thought might as well utilize it!! Appreciate the sub, welcome to the fam 🤙🏽🤙🏽😎
Great video. I'll probably use wood for the structure. I don't have the tools to work with metal, and I think wood could look better than PVC.
Wood is perfect! I didn’t even think about it, 2x4’s can definitely get the job done
This is really cool. Thank you for sharing. I've been seeing ads for these lamps on Facebook and AliExpress, and both platforms are charging way too much. I think I'll try this with PVC pipes.
Curtis Collins totally! Really appreciate that, I’ve been hearing people making it with wood as well so that’s another option!
@@wavgretzky Same here, Going to try as a nice background light for accent. THis is perfect. Thanks
you can even make two for less than $45...well that all depends on the LED lights you choose
Looks like it’s time to get building just so I can play loud music lol. Good job, turned out amazing!
Gina appreciate you stopping by!
Lol facts. it’s totally over kill but well worth! Again pvc pipe is a cheap and easy alternative. Good luck 🙏🏽
Looks amazing, and excellent work. New sub from me.
WHAT IS GOOOOOOOD. GLAD YOU MADE IT!!!
@@wavgretzky Im here to stay bro, you keep doing these sick videos and ill keep watching. Stay safe man.
Looks amazing
Marcos Stewart appreciate that! Hope to see you around again!
Great work That's dope
Frank P thanks frank! Appreciate it, hope to see you around again!
That looks simple. All I need now is the equipment...
Now you’re getting it 😅 lol thanks for swinging by George
This just popped up on my feed, and I literally stopped the video and check your subs at the moment that you said you only had 150 subs and I was like no way, such a great video quality! You deserve more dure, i dont really do comments very offten but i saw that you are from San Diego, im from Tijuana and i dont know why i get more excited when i see a content creator that is near to my location haha very weird i know thats why i had to leave a comment, anyways wish you the best man!
Realnezs ahhh hell yeah!!! Dude you have no idea how much this made my day. Really appreciate you stopping by. Haha yeah man we neighbor’s basically. But yeah I’m trying to really just keep going and producing quality shit. Even though you don’t comment much I hope to see you around soon 😎😎
Awesome video just subbed!
Ahhh hell yeah!! Welcome my friend
I love the video. I am not sure that is stainless steel you were using, looks more like mild steel. I would be interested to see how this project would work with Aluminum instead of steel, it would save a lot of weight.
Gold 100% and that’s one of the things we talked about, this thing was HEAVY. Again we were just working with what we had laying around lol . Appreciate you stopping by, hope to see you around again!!
Wavgretzky but I think in this case heavy is good, less prone to fail if you hit it while sweeping or moving things around. To me looks great and i will try it. Greetings from 🇻🇪
Oh good now I can find my corner of my room.
whatfreedom7 the void
Bro, you genius! Thanks for idea) Thank you!!!
TakeroS of course my guy! Thank you, for stopping by!
That has to be mild steel other wise you would of had to tig weld them but all in all great looking product will definitely be making on of my own
Hell yeah brother good luck!
@@wavgretzky I made it! 1/2 x 1/2 square tubing the only thing is I made it 8'-6" tall being that my ceilings are 9' it keeps the light reveal the same from top to bottom.
@@ripporkey Nice!!! That’s super tall. I do kinda wish I made mine taller at times. Good call forsure!!
Thanks for the Video! As i highly lack any sort of welding skill, i thought i might try make something similar, but in pre colored matt black wood. Should be easily assembled and most likely somewhat cheaper production cost as well. Do you think that would make sense, or is it bound to fail?
Patrik Andersson yeah of course, thank you for stopping by patrik, lol trust me the 1 inch metal was overkill. Wood sounds fine to me, curious to see what that looks like, I think it’s all in the base ( how flat it is as well as the length of the legs)
Awesome bro! You get urself a new subscriber. Any suggestions on how to do it using pvc ?
Thanks brother! Really appreciate that. Yeah all you would really need is is 3 piece of pvc pipe 1 that is 5ft and 2 that are 1 1/2 ft for the legs, an adapter to connect the 3 pieces and just 3 end caps for style purposes. Then just paint, hope this helps!
Wavgretzky sweet! Will give it a try ✌🏻
Wavgretzky what diameter pvc?
This guy is so underrated!
I’m honored
Wavgretzky aye man keep it up tho. You got this bro, I wish I was that skilled at editing but I know your RUclips channel will grow rapidly with dat editing.
BRONX damn man, that motivation means more thank you know 🙏🏽 seriously I appreciate that. I have the same Instagram @ so don’t be afraid to holla 🤙🏽
You should use an aluminum steel backed silicone diffuser case for less they have ones designed at 45 degree angles perfect for corners and much easier and relatively cheap😁 hope this helps someone lol
focus your facee! Great video :D
I know lol I messed up
Thanks so much for your video I’ve also been working on this lambs on Facebook and did a research review and apparently they seem to be a scam and there’s a company in the UK that actually they sell, it’s just expensive, so I will try to do something like this.
Oh wow I didn’t even hear about that, that’s crazy. Good luck on your project!
Спасибо мистер из Сан-Диего)
That’s amazing man, I’ll make my own !!
Hell yeah juan! That’s what I’m talking about!!!
Wavgretzky I’ll be thankful if you see the video in my channel... please take a look
My man! I’ll keep an eye out fasho!
Scott Klinker designed this light had his design stolen by Chinese manufacturers and never received a dime for this design
won't it be easier to make this with PVC tubing?
Yea, he even says in the video that it's an alternative
@@wizardgabe7068 oh, I missed that, it was probably at the same time as my dog puked all over the floor 😥
Is there a way to build one in all 4 corners and use a non led wire to connect them??
Hmmmmmm I’m not sure. Your best bet is you can connect 4 individual Hue Led strips to your Hue led light strip app and control them all individually. I think that would be your best bet
@@wavgretzky Just very expensive.
@@splendidbag4729 well you’re talking about building 4, that’s objectively expensive
When you do a DIY video can you go over the prices of the materials so we can compare it to whats out there on the market?
Jordan Schmidt ahhh you know I didn’t even consider that, will definitely implement next time 🤙🏽 thanks for the input. Hope to see you around again Jordan!
@@wavgretzky Sure thing! Great video my dude, I'll be making one myself one day and your video will be my reference!
4:57 yeah loud parties with music...👀
Bruhhh 😂
Hahahahahaahahahahahaa I know
@Wavgretzky - do you have your Govee lights connected to your Alexa?
Jason Bell unfortunately I don’t have an Alexa hahaha
@@wavgretzky Oh ok - thanks! I'm trying to see if I can get my Alexa to turn the light strips off/on, but that have remain in "Music Mode". If you unplug them and plug them back in, do the light strips go back to the last mode they were in, or do they default back to just regular LED mode?
Jason Bell yup, down to the color 👍🏽
@@wavgretzky Sorry - Down to the color? What do you mean? Do they stay in music mode or go back to the regular LED mode?
Jason Bell yup, it will stay in music mode and if you have it in solid color mode it will even remember the color
What is the name of the instrumental in the beginning..sounds so familiar
Lol yeah waves by ye
Wavgretzky oh yeah lol, thanks!!
I was glad that somebody else asked, because I thought it came from HBO's Euphoria album.
I have this corner lamp, aluminum and PC material
Nice!!
Muy bien!!! 👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

theivious back to work until I hit a 1000 😂
Dude nice
Well done
Thank you light user 😎😎 I appreciate that!
Dope!
Thank you 💛
Is that a dodge charger in the back???
Camaroooo
I saw the led light link.. it's cost 19.99 dollar. Just the leds. After some search i can buy the whole lamp about 19.00 dollar. So if you made your own just the led light is more in cash than the whole "corner lamp". Sorry for bad english
My mom and dad said I could redo my room so ima make 2 of these
parsa nasirzadeh oh it’s lit lol
Cool!
super cool! where are you from?

i bet its rusty now. try some rust converter then primer first. before coating with paint
inkbam lol it’s definitely not, I knew I wasn’t going to be exposing the light to the elements like that so I wasn’t worried about that at all. If it gets dust I just clean it off with a dry rag, Still looks and works like a charm 🤓
anybody have trouble with the modern motus remote? is there anyway to use an app with the LED corner lamp?
Mmm I’m not sure, wish I could help man
Could I pay you to make 2 of these for me? lol
Lol I wish. We wanted to but shipping was our biggest obstacle lol
DIY 0:57 highly specific tool that i've never seen :(
Bruno Lucas a table saw? Lol any saw will work really, some more efficient than others. Some saws can definitely be more expensive than others though
btw, nice DIY!! :)
The coverage sucks on that LED. Cool idea tho
Great backhanded comment DJ StuLu
That isn't Stainless Steel. Stainless is sliver and isn't magnetic
Brendan o grady not completely true. Most stainless steel you could say are not magnetic, some contain iron. Which make some magnetic. We had these already and didn’t clean them before we started working with them, so that could be the reason they aren’t as clean 😊
OK so you just need to know how to weld and have a saw that can cut metal.. got it
Or you can make it out of PVC
735
i have been looking to buy one of these, but the ones i see are chinese resellers and i don't want to pay markup for something like that.
you inspired me to make my own one of these and i will try to "improve" the design thank you.
Nice!!! Yes do it!!! This design can definitely be improved on lol glad I can inspire you! Ain’t nothing to it but to do it
