I don't think I've ever watched a video by either of the Welsh twins and not learned something. Mvp of RUclips award needs to be a thing. Just out here educating and making the world a better place.
I am 55 years old and had given up on makeup until I started watching you. You have given me the courage to try new things. I have really learned a lot from your videos. Thank you so much!
Same here I’m 40 and loving learning from him… I am so glad he drops in tips for us - I liked today’s one “don’t put the highlighter here if you have fine lines” Rodger that! So where is the safest place for someone with fine lines around the eyes and wrinkles on the forehead? 🤔 just wondering…
@@its2hard2findaname I’m in my 20s but still have pretty decent wrinkles around eyes (probs due to smoking cigs for years now) & deep ones on my forehead so the spots I hit are highest points of cheekbones without getting too close to the eye (make sure to not bring too far inward on your face either to give a more lifted look, I usually bring it even/level w/ my pupil & no further, if not a lil before that point), I always hit my Cupid’s bow w/ highlight as well bc that’s my fav spot to put it but that’s personal preference ofc, BARELY dust down the bridge of my nose & make sure to wrap the cheekbone highlight around your eye/temple up to the brow but without going in the area that Robert went if that makes sense??? Hope this helps! Sometimes I’ll also lightly dust it above the end of my brows on my forehead but not always
If you’d like a cheaper alternative, pleeease try Physicians Formula shimmer brick! (Not the shimmer strip, specifically the one that’s shaped like a square!) I think they’re maybe intended to be eyeshadows but I use it as highlight & it’s the EXACT type of formula where it looks like a lit from within type of glow instead of actual shimmer/glitter! It’s the only highlight I use nowadays & my man lovessss it on me as well!💜 (bonus, there’s sooo many different shades in it so it cld work for so many different skin tones & you cld always use them as eyeshadows or blush toppers as well since there’s pink shades in it too!)
@@SkittleMcPhee23 I currently use a Ted Baker eyeshadow palette in the same way haha it literally says eyeshadow but all of them are shimmers and look like amazing highlighter when worn. But I need the one Robert was happy about. It is clearly superior.
I love your excitement for good quality products. It’s very obvious that you are a makeup artist reviewing products made by a makeup artist and both of you care about your craft and the real world use of the products.
Since starting a am/pm skin care routine, I find I don't really need make, though since watching ur videos I love do my make and am getting very good at it, I like a more natural look.. Thank u.
I love that Robert has normalized a more subtle make up look versus always so full coverage! However.. the way he does those looks with the amazing colors.. just wow! You're my favorite Robert ❤🖤!!!
They look beautiful on camera! I tend to avoid cream contour/bronzers they always seem to oxidize orange on my skin... even in powders I tend to use eye shadows for contour as most "contour" products are just too orange or ruddy...
The highlighter is one of the best I’ve tried. I also bought the cream blush and contour. They’re great too, but the highlighter is the star of the show IMO
I prefer powder over creams, just can't use up creams before they get bad. Love that highlighter on you! ♥️ I think I may get that one, don't like too much like painted on highlighter looks.
I’m using the light contour stick as a base for my bronzer and use a light luminous bronzer over it and it stays put all day. Was very surprised as I was sure that a creme product didn’t have a long lasting stay. Bought also the Pale Petal cream blush and I love it too, it’s pigmented but with a sheer finish that I find very natural.
just got the soft sculpt cream contour and blush sticks, and I have to say I am SO impressed with how beautiful it sits on the skin. I also agree with you about the pigment - I think both sticks will last quite a long time. LOVE the final look! 🖤
I bought the sculpting stick and the stick blush immediately after watching RawBeautyKristi's review. I love it. I prefer a much more natural look and I could never get a natural looking contour before. I'm also a cool pale and had trouble finding a cool contour that would work for me. I love them. I have way too many highlighters but I still want to try his.
The cream collection is very tempting to me. I've tried other cream products but didn't have the best luck with them and it's probably due to my application technique as I'm not used to them. I really like how the cream blush sits on your skin: straight-on, you do see the color but from a profile it's much more subtle. The highlighter is absolutely lovely. The only quibble I might have is with the brush ends and the potential for fraying when the cap is replaced, that might be a issue. I think Mario did a nice job with this face collection.
You should try the Lisa Eldridge cream blushes. They’re super lightweight yet somehow are the only blushes that last on my skin. The best part is they blend so easily and seamlessly that it surprised me.
I am SO EXCITED to see Robert use CREAM products 🙉 Despite having oily skin I am also aging and find creams look so natural and make me produce less oils. These look lovely. They remind me of Westman Atelier and I adore her contour and blush sticks 💖
I only got the contour stick but I really love this product. I don't just draw it onto the skin because I find it doesn't blend well that way. I use a more dense but flexible brush to kind of stipple it on the skin and it looks so natural. I like that it sets down pretty quickly (another reason not to draw it on!) and the wear time is great, even on a hot summer day. I wore it swimming and it didn't budge. This has replaced my westman atelier stick, which I never thought would happen. Mario did a great job on this and I'm tempted to try the blushes out.
Love how excited you got about the highlighter. Also where I live in the US air-conditioning is not really a thing either and it has been over 100 degrees F here and I am melting.
Yes! I was hoping you would review these- I just watched your first makeup by mario video yesterday actually. I cant decide if I should pickup the bronzer or the sculpt stick...I gotta say you sold me on the cream blush.
I am LOVING the contour and blush. I feel like those are products I sometimes struggle with, and these look so pretty! I also grabbed his rose gold lip gloss and it’s a staple in my daily routine.
I should clarify; the cream contour and blush just blend so well. I do wish the brush had a telescopic element to protect it, but that’s my only critique.
I live by cream blush. I love the natural softness of it and it's easy to re-apply if I need to. I definitely want to try that beautiful dusty rose color! It's amazing!
I’m getting married in October, and I bought the entire Makeup by Mario collection to use for my wedding 🤣❤️ my makeup artists agrees that these products are outstanding, and I did a all day wear test and it held up soooo well! I use the Charlotte Tilbury flawless airbrush foundation and the tatcha dewy skin cream for my skin prep. Oh and the Charlotte T setting spray. It melts the makeup so well into the skin you look so naturally glowing it’s insane!!!
I am super interested in this brand. I would like to see a deeper berry for the blush but then again it may just work for my skintone. I don't have preference for creams or powders. I like both as long as the product is easy to work with.
I've always been a more into powder blush and contour because I'm oily and have always found creams to be too heavy for my skin! Plus I'm a total novice at makeup so I try to stay on the "less is more idea" which I can achieve comfortably with powders but now I really want to try those creams thank you! 💜
That highlighter looks so smooth! And I think Mario is such a amazing artist that it isn't a suprise that his products are so good. Thanks for a nice review!

I feel you on no AC. I’m in Alberta Canada and we have like 2 months of summer so I always say it’s not worth it to get an AC, then we get a heatwave (up to 38-39c) this week and I’m like why haven’t I had an AC installed yet??? Every year I say that😂. Currently misting myself today to keep cool.
Yeah we have a out the window air conditioning unit here as well. Our house is older than I am and that's y. Sometimes it sucks bc its so hot outside its barely helpful. We Get heat here for months in the US in North Carolina. Right now some days r unbearable 😫lol
I’m from Texas, and haven’t lived without air conditioning until I moved to the state of Washington. Central air is not the norm here, either, which isn’t an issue *most* of the time. I love it when Robert giggles with happiness. It makes me giggle and smile and makes me happy. I walk by this brand whenever I am in Sephora. It just never captured my attention but I may give it a gander next time I am in.
I'm looking at this collection and I can't even disillusion myself into thinking the contours or bronzers will work on me. And I don't care to wait on any shade expansions anymore because I'm simply over dark skin being an afterthought to these brands. The highlighter looks cute, though.
Hello Robert! Thank you for this amazing video (just like all your videos really!!). I’m definitely a cream girl and I love the Danessa Myricks products, they’re great, pigmented and long lasting. Having said that this Mario cream blush looks nice too. But even if I love creams, this highlighter is calling my name !!! 😍
Wow! It all looks great! What's the best way to choose a bronzer shade? I bought one recently that looked a little on the yellow side because I'm olive toned, but after trying it on it seems like it might be too dark (?) The next shade down looked too red for me.
The “simplicity” of the packaging gets to me. Like idk what it is but it’s just so attractive.
Sometimes when packaging is to colourful it sometimes just look cheap and kiddy like Claire’s. You feel me.
Less is MORE
Luxury brands don't need to catch your eye on a store shelf. Sometimes they still are gaudy but that's by choice or for a flex.
Yup. He lets the product shine
Yes! Tbh, sometimes packaging can feel overwhelming and it drives me away.
