“Objection, non-responsive” could literally be translated to, “I don’t like the concise answer that I just got, so I’m gonna try to verbally strong-arm this guy into incriminating himself.”
Would be interesting if Vic ever challenged one of those objections as I often felt his answers had satisfied the question. Idk if you're allowed to challenge an objection but in his position I might just to throw the lawyer off.
That's what these questions are designed to do, trying to find something to incriminate him on, but it's not working, because Vic gives them a reasonably sound response to every question, but not in the way they'd hope he would answer.
This dude literally asked why his reputation is important to him. Asking someone with a successful voice acting career why their reputation is important to them is like asking someone, “Do you like living?” “Uh, Yeah.” “Okay, why?” Like seriously it’s so dumb
Compare the number of times Ty Beard brings up an objection to form or privilege to Casey Erick's objections to form. It's rare/when needed. Casey is doing it on every single question. He knows Ron is screwed and no amount of prep will stop him from looking like an ass, so he objects so he can try to shoot it down later. Ron wastes everyone's time by refusing to authenticate tweets, so Ty and Casey have to run to the judge, where Casey authenticates it. Basically every answer was "I don't remember", so how can this lisping idiot argue that he didn't tweet maliciously, because he spent HOURS saying he couldn't remember. Furthermore, if he "suddenly remembers", well his credibility becomes (even more) shot because trial will have been further away from the date he tweeted and later than the depo. What an idiot.
Ron and Shaneypoo had no idea about what deposition is in the first place. They thought it was one sided but when it came to Ron he had no idea what to do and clearly had no time to be coached because the lawyers he hired were last second ones. Ron is an idiot and Shaneypoo is as lawyer as my wife is... @@justmarcus33 Yea, the problem is though that he keeps trying to poke and prod the wrong spots and he's coming off as if he's not seeking out actual facts, so much as he's trying to destroy a person's character. And he's failing, because Vic is proving to him that he's not a prick.

"So if those allegations aren't really credible, then that hasn't really hurt your credibility, has it?" - Are you saying that if somebody threw a rock towards someone, and it missed, said rock-thrower gets a free pass and should be ignored because the rock, which was thrown with clear intent, missed? I get that some questions are just fishing for opportunity to turn the tides, and it's a lawyer's job to SEEM in the "right" to win the case. But still, some of these questions seem pretty illogical or just plain bad.

On the "Fuhrer" nickname It needs to be looked at in terms of Full Metal Alchemist. It had nothing to do with Hitler. I guess Fuhrer Lemoine doesn't care about his reputation. I don't think Lemoine got the whole story here from Monica and Ron. He went into this expecting to attack a prideful human being but what he got was Vic. Which is what a better answer from him would have been BUT instead people are laughing and mocking him saying "yes that's bad", what the other side was trying to do wa sshow "peopel say things about vic...but he only sues in an attempt to win money" its why they followed up with "does your reputation as a voice actor matter".....they are playing him like a fiddle, he's answering "yes my reputation matters" then they say "ok, yet here are hundreds of other examples of people accusing you of things, questioning your credibility..how is your credibility hurt. by my clients...just repeating it"..and whats the answer? How can vic argue that "others can say what they want, and that's acceptable...but if somone with money repeates it..then they owe me millions" Thats why Vic is losing this who situation, he's spending way too much time... playing it cool and not looking at WHY they are asking what they ask... I mean they literally say "is Mr Toye (and the others) has anyone hurt your credibility" while at the same time citing many others....even vic saying "many of them are screen names, you don't know who they are, etc.." is Toye's defense....that he can't be expected to "know" these people, him saying he heard..from them..isn't a bad thing...and vic just..basically backed that up.... YOU WERE GONNA SUE SOME WOMEN INTO THE GROUND *ron attempts to raise finger but remembers he's not actually a man but an earthworm with stubble and puts it back down*
I think they may have been trying to make him feel guilty for defending himself. I mean, they thought Vic didn't have the heart to take them to court, let alone follow through with it. Thankfully, Vic is a real man who won't cave under pressure.
It was clear what they were trying to do, they were trying to make him look vindictive (with the grinding woman into dirt with a lawsuit comment) and they also tried to trap Vic into saying something that would damage the grounds of the lawsuit, as evidenced with the constant circular questions they keep asking.
It's even funnier when they tried to get him to say something that would identify him as a public figure with the questions about "How big were rooms you did conventions in"
The sheer pain in vics face when he said he thought he was a good judge of character makes my soul hurt. You can tell he feels completely and utterly betrayed by all of this, and though he tries to remain stoic and strong it is really having a deep rooted emotional effect on him.
I think applying pressure helps. It conditions the client and prepares them for what the opposing counsel may do. But even that said, the questions were rather....not well constructed 😅

That last part really was disheartening, poor Vic felt one of the worst kind of emotions out there: betrayal. I honestly wonder after all this and he wins his lawsuit, from those who became against him that he's worked with, will any of them come out to apologize to him, if that happens, I'm sure Vic would be Wary and hesitant and it would be up to him whether to decide to accept their apologies or not. Meanwhile for those VAs who have not said anything at all ever since this mess started, when it finishes, I wonder if if any of them will come out and finally speak of their defense of Vic without getting attacked online... I often wonder about that with Caitlin Glass, Aaron Dismuke and anyone else who he's worked with but haven't spoken out since then
I feel like Aaron, Caitlin, and any others that haven’t really “spoken out” on the matter either don’t want to be involved as they don’t have anything to say or they just don’t see a reason to. (From what I can tell, they’d prefer to wait until everything settles to really say anything.)

When I was in Highschool, I was on my school's Mock Trial team (basically, you acted as lawyers and witnesses in a made-up case and competed against other schools). Comparing Vic's deposition and Ron Soye's is night and day. Vic is definitely going to win this! #IStandWithVic
Yup
Certainly, vic's answers, straight and concise, Ron avoided a lot of questions
She is a Law-Scribe so being in Depositions is her *Job* (She was blocked by the guy when she tried to explain what deposition is and I was blocked for questioning his understandings of legal process)

My response to these questions...
1. "Is your reputation as a voice actor important to you?"
- I dunno. Is YOUR reputation as a lawyer important to YOU?
2. (The questions about Vic's panel room sizes)
- Do YOU bother going inside a room and checking each and every number of people that are inside with each court case, in each lunch room, in each bathroom, etc.?
3. "Is your personal reputation important to you?"
- Deep Humor nailed it. This is a rhetorical question.
4. "So if those allegations aren't really credible, then that hasn't really hurt your credibility, has it?"
- Are you saying that if somebody threw a rock towards someone, and it missed, said rock-thrower gets a free pass and should be ignored because the rock, which was thrown with clear intent, missed?
I get that some questions are just fishing for opportunity to turn the tides, and it's a lawyer's job to SEEM in the "right" to win the case. But still, some of these questions seem pretty illogical or just plain bad.

There is a part of me that wants to track down this lawyer and egg his house...but then the Vic in my head tells me not to 😔 We have to respect Vic when he tells us to be the better person
Alpha Squash Prime 4Chan will do this regardless. So don't worry lol
by trying to hunt down the silly lawyer even if for a stupid prank will only do bad, especially on Vic
The guy asking the questions does not sound professional at all..
He knows what he is doing, those are trap questions
It doesn’t help that he gets audibly furious during the deposition at times.
Vic: Literally answers the question
OBJECTION NON-RESPONSIVE!
"Does your reputation matter to you?"
What a lawyer thing to say...
YOU WERE GONNA SUE SOME WOMEN INTO THE GROUND *ron attempts to raise finger but remembers he's not actually a man but an earthworm with stubble and puts it back down*
destrego an earthworm with a stubble LMFAO 😂😂 an earthworm full of SOY
I think they may have been trying to make him feel guilty for defending himself. I mean, they thought Vic didn't have the heart to take them to court, let alone follow through with it. Thankfully, Vic is a real man who won't cave under pressure.
And Monica is his booger pet.😂😂😂😂😂
That made me laugh
C'mon man! Earthworm Jim is even more manly than that!
It was clear what they were trying to do, they were trying to make him look vindictive (with the grinding woman into dirt with a lawsuit comment) and they also tried to trap Vic into saying something that would damage the grounds of the lawsuit, as evidenced with the constant circular questions they keep asking.
Every question was an attempt to trap him unfortunately
Deep Humor Yeah, funny that it didn't work, right?😂
It's even funnier when they tried to get him to say something that would identify him as a public figure with the questions about "How big were rooms you did conventions in"
The cup he's using there is a total power move. It has all his characters on it, including star trek continues
Apparently a fan made it for him? I think Nick mentioned it?
Wow, he’s being hit with BS by the worst Lawyer with lung cancer and he’s just keeping his cool and answering like a champ!
The sheer pain in vics face when he said he thought he was a good judge of character makes my soul hurt. You can tell he feels completely and utterly betrayed by all of this, and though he tries to remain stoic and strong it is really having a deep rooted emotional effect on him.
I think its curious that lemoine acts like he's prosecuting vic...he seems to forget that hes the DEFENSE attorney.
I think applying pressure helps. It conditions the client and prepares them for what the opposing counsel may do. But even that said, the questions were rather....not well constructed 😅
The “a good offense is a good defense” defense I suppose...
The lawyer is trying to crack the wall that is Vic Mignogna. He did not break.
ARTS 1984
It’s a fullmetal wall, you can dent it, scratch it, scuff it, but never break it.
@@lancerofblue3662 Only through Vic's power of alchemy can it be morphed, and once it's his turn, it will be transformed into a giant spear that will strike down anyone who opposes. (Sorry got carried away)
Maybe if he wasn't so dehydrated
the only thing cracking was his own voice
The guy voices broly. If you voice someone like broly AINT SHIT getting through you
That last part really was disheartening, poor Vic felt one of the worst kind of emotions out there: betrayal.
I often wonder about that with Caitlin Glass, Aaron Dismuke and anyone else who he's worked with but haven't spoken out since then
I seriously doubt they'll apologize. Their mindsets are constructed in a way where they can never be wrong
eleonora vostanis Even if these slime balls ever did apologize to Vic, I'm sure that he would never trust them again.
I feel like Aaron, Caitlin, and any others that haven’t really “spoken out” on the matter either don’t want to be involved as they don’t have anything to say or they just don’t see a reason to. (From what I can tell, they’d prefer to wait until everything settles to really say anything.)
Vic: *destroys lawyer's implicit argument*
Lawyer: Objection; non-responsive
Objection. Non-responsive....
I believe I just responded to your question, quite concisely.
*Ask the same question again.*
*gives same answer*
Definition of insanity...
Vic is an absolute alpha chad in this deposition.
I don't get sad for videos really, mostly emotional movies. But that part, where Vic mentions people he trusted, cared for, thought loved him, are now in last 5 months have been tarnishing his name, and how sad and broken he sounded saying that, really hurt me man.
Yeah this situation has clearly hit him hard
This lawyer has some long arms for all that reaching.... geez
This is the worst deposition I've ever seen. Even Michael Jackson got better questions.
He's a real life Phoenix Wright character.
When I was in Highschool, I was on my school's Mock Trial team (basically, you acted as lawyers and witnesses in a made-up case and competed against other schools). Time and time again, we were told by professional lawyers and actual Judges (the Judges acted as Judges in each round with other real lawyers and Judges acting as a jury) that we were more convincing and competent than some real lawyers. I thought they were just being nice until I saw this.
Vic handled this one sided “deposition” very well, I am very proud of him.
Goddammit!! Listening to that guy questioning Vic making me constantly clear my throat. *(clears throat again)*
he has some nerve insinuating that Vic is some kind of Nazi, how stupid can these questions get?
LOL I knew someone would address the elephant in the room
Right!? Talk about grasping at staws
Nick's jokes during this stream were very entertaining.
I don't even know how Vic was able to keep HIS cool and not at LEAST offer that guy a cough drop or somethin.
I believe in due process and investigating claims of sexual harassment but I'm so proud of Vic for handling this douche with class and nuance!
"Not everyone is sueing my clients for defamation"
Bruh, we would if we could
what kind of questions are these?
I have no idea
I'd say protected defamation because it's being used in the legal process.
They should fire this guy
Typical deposition
7:25 cough Marzgurl cough cough
10:57 Wouldn't answering that potentially breach Vic's attorney-client privilege?
I believe so
@@DeepHumor So wouldn't that stand to reason that the lawyer is trying to break the law? Something that can have him disbarred? something that means that the case would definitely swing into Vic's favor? Something that he should realize and so keep his fucking mouth shut about stuff like that?
This makes no sense. Vic is the party involved. He has every right to release any details that are privileged between him and his attorney; he is the one with the privilege.
The lawyer can ask, and Vic can choose to answer, or say that it is privileged information he'd rather not share. Nothing illegal about asking about privelaged information.
@@CGoody564 Sorry let me rephrase that: Couldn't this be a trick into getting Vic to reveal information that could be protected by his attorney-client privilege?
@@IamCanadian3333 vic is allowed to reveal said information, and the lawyer certainly can ask about it. He can choose not to, but it makes no difference really. The lawyer is allowed to ask. There is no trick here.
Vic is the one with the privilege in the attorney-client relationship, and Vic can reveal any information that's privileged to him.
But the other lawyer knows about the names likely due to Ron and Monica; it's not as if no one knew this information.
Legally speaking, any anonymous accusation is NOT admissable testimony or evidence. Because there's no way to verify WHO the people are, or if they are even PEOPLE at all. There's no way to question them or hold them accountable if it turns out the testimony is intentionally false.
Very true
Lawyer: And no one's asking them to donate?
Vic: Not that I know of. I have nothing to do with that.
Nick: I'm asking! Please donate!
That cracked me up. lol
Somebody needs to animate Edward Elric being questioned over the top of this
Vic Mignogna is a legendary guy,he has a heart of gold and is one of the kindest people I’ve seen. in fact all this makes me want to meet him more. This man is a god send that’s why people want to take him down, I’m a proud As ever to be a member of Vic Mignogna’s fandom
