Another day ride.
From Simrishamn to Ystad along the coast, keeping as close to the sea as possible. I could have done better but that, dear viewer, is for another time...
I did this one on the Touroll U1 which was very enjoyable. If you are interested in the bike then look out for details in a future video and check out the links below for a cheeky discount :)

Excellent video Jethro. The area looks beautiful
It is lovely. And I've only discovered the obvious bit so many more adventures to come!
Great, always loved Wales.
I love Wales as well but this is all filmed in Sweden 😉
finest kind content! thanks
Glad you enjoyed it 😃

Bike rafting! Sounds wet...
There's a great peninsula in South-West Sweden, not too far away for you, called Skanör-Falsterbo. I liked the mood in that area.
I'm looking at it now on Google maps, down south of Malmö.
Looks interesting and is in reach of a day ride if I get a train out that way. I'll add it to my list of destinations, thanks for the heads up!
I've been toying with romanticised thoughts of pack rafting to an island or something for a mega solitude camp, but there's always options still to do with less barriers to entry.
I did find a place in Scotland that would rent the equipment, but my knee jerk reaction was that it was still quite expensive. However, when pitted against the financial outlay of an average city break, maybe it's not so bad after all....
I've done a little bit of flat water paddling and always really enjoyed it. The idea of combining it with biking and being able to make it part of an A to B adventure is very appealing. Especially in Sweden where there are plenty of routes that would only be possible with a boat.
I've found places in Scotland and also Germany but so far nothing nearby. I wish I could justify just splurging on the gear and learning on the job but it quickly gets super expensive.
One day hopefully.
Honey where's me popcorn - it's only Jethro with another video
Apologies for the long wait since the last one. Life has been getting in the way!
I hope this one was enjoyable 😉
In the department of “the world is a wonderful place with Jethro Jessop”, please please wear a helmet. Alan would like that too😊🙏
Cheers(with coffee)

I watched this video back last night with a 3 year old and she also called me out for not wearing a helmet.
Normally I would but it's in England and when I can ride almost entirely traffic free and at a fairly relaxed pace I'd rather risk riding lidless than not ride at all.
Following you with Google maps, found the longship. Cycling so I don't have to do it. Cheers!
I spend way too much time following other peoples routes and rides on Google maps.
In fact, I spend way too much time looking at maps generally. Adventure in comfort 😉
It looked like you were flying along some of that single track. No helmet? Since you alluded to it, I'd be curious to know if you feel electrical assist in any way lessens or detracts from the experience of an adventure. Anecdotal evidence suggests sustained exertion releases endorphins as in the "runner's high". I imagine a runner's high would not be the same if the runner used an electric scooter.
Was that an app or website that shows all your cumulative Strava rides?
It's a website that I'm building. Currently it's not stable enough to go live but I hope that soon I'll be able to make it public.
It's intended to pull together a few features from other web tools and some UI features that I've not found elsewhere. If I can iron out the last few bugs it will hopefully be a cool tool. Hopefully it will make me a millionaire by this time next year 😉
Keep eyes peeled for an announcement if you are interested in such things!
Thanks Jethro, always interested in Strava add ons
@@maximumsolitude4215 this one started as a way to view all my Strava history on one map but has morphed into a route editor as well now and I have a list of addition features as long as your arm!
If I can get the basic route editor and Strava overlay working cleanly then I'll do a video on the project and put the link out there. This could be in six weeks, or six months, or...
