It’s not hard. There’s a target under the main bad guys ship that gives you 100000 points per hit at magic kingdom. You just wait for it. Hit it 10 times and you max out your score no problem.
The refurb of Autopia in 2000 at Disneyland also benefited from combining the area of Autopia in Tomorrowland with the Fantasyland Autopia. This made for a much longer experience. Great video! I agree with every ride comparison.
I feel like you could definitely give Disneyland’s Astro Orbiter a few points for it’s nice view of Main Street and the castle. Also, if you time it right, you can get a great view of the parades.
And yet with all that space, 4 parks in Florida have less attractions than the 2 in California :\ Disneyland is much more intimate than the Magic Kingdom. MK is just too big. Disneyland they had to get creative, and that's where you get cool solutions like the drop on Pirates, or the stretching room in the Haunted Mansion. It's neat going underground for the ride. (I know MK has a stretching room too but it's not an elevator like Disneyland's). Also not having the Space for MK's Space Mountain gave Disneyland the much better version

Dont worry Mae. You're not the only one. I went to Disney land when I was 12 months old. It turns out ill be going back to Disney land on spring break. So by the time I get there I be 13 years old. I always wanted to go to Disney world, but hey. As long as its a Disney park. I'm in.
100% agree. I would say that MK's Space Mountain has a far better queue. But the ride vehicles are quite uncomfortable and there really is nothing to hold on to.
I have to agree on the Space Mountain portion of the video. I remember the very first time I rode Space Mountain at Disney World, the lapbar was so close to my knees, that I kept banging my legs on it. When I rode it at Disneyland, I expected the same thing to happen, only to find that the seats were SO much more comfortable than the ones at Disney World.
I always felt like Tomorrowland for Disneyland was a clash of ideas and it’s great to see someone agrees with me! Im heading to disney world in a week and a half and this video just builds up the hype!

For this comparison video and the last one I agreed with almost every single thing, and you pinpointed reasons I liked one version over the other using aspects I hadn't even put together before! Really enjoying these videos!
@@jessicafriedrich4954 No, no. All the parts that Magic Kingdom has for Carousel of Progress came directly from Disneyland, which came directly from the World's Fair. It was never duplicated, just transported. I know it CAN exist in two places, but wasn't and probably won't be. Also, it's not that Walt Disney World was "liked more" or anything. It was because America Sings was built to replace Carousel of Progress at Disneyland. After America's bicentennial, it didn't need to he in that space anymore, plus the theater had some structural problems. I'm not mad it about it being gone and I don't blame you for anything. It's just that it can't be compared because Disneyland doesn't have it anymore.
Another important point about Disneyland’s Space Mountain is that unlike the Magic Kingdom version, it actually gets different overlays like Ghost Galaxy, which gives it more variety.
Sure the Disneyland rides at Tomorrowland are better than Disney World, but in Disney World we get Carousel or Progress and People Mover which makes Disney World better in my opinion
TTA Traveler I think they are equal. Even though Disney world is bigger it takes longer to get places. Disneyland and Disney World both have their pros and cons
Gotta go with Disneyland. Most of the rides are better, especially my favorite, Pirates. But also because when you stay on property you can literally be back in your room in ten minutes, thats hard to do at World. Most importantly the weather is better at Disneyland. Both are amazing though.
And in Disneyland there's the submarine voyage and you don't have to travel to a different park for Star Tours... But, while this series of videos is good for direct comparisons of rides, any attempt to compare DLR & WDW in their entirety is pretty much apples and oranges.
I totally agree with you. But I'd say that since Disneyland has the monorail station in the middle of Tomorrowland, it beats everything else. It also features the Nemo submarine ride, which is not exactly as much a "Tomorrowland" theme as the 2,000 Leagues submarines, but it's one of my favorite rides in DL.
When i was on space mountain at wdw i was so scared i closed my eyes for the entire ride, which make no sense bc space moutain is a dark ride and you cant see anything.
The thing I love about Disneyworld is the whole week experience. Gotta stay for a week for the whole experience. Cheaper and better than going to each theme park and water park and staying in a condo and having to drive to them, pay for parking, etc
I agree with all of your choices. Please do Fantasyland and then maybe do some California Adventure vs EPCOT/Hollywood Studios/Animal Kingdom attractions and see the similarities
So excited to see one of my favorite TPM videos get a sequel! I think it’s interesting that while Magic Kingdom seems to do the overall Tomorrowland aesthetic best, Disneyland comes out on top in terms of most shared rides. I wonder which would win in an overall comparison, with all elements (shared and non-shared) combined? Just a thought! Great video, TPM!
Bold prediction: MK space Mountain goes under a full rehab including a new track and possibly layout, speakers in cars with the now iconic Disneyland music, and projection mapping. It’ll have to happen if it is to keep up with Tron.
One thing that I felt was missing from this video’s Space Mountain Synopsis is the variety of differences on the DL and WDW tracks themselves. DL space mountain IS smoother but you can almost always plan on those iconic sharp turns going right, making it less surprising and fun. WDW Space Mountain has much more variety to its track. Not only is it a rougher ride, but those sharp turns vary between left and right much more often, so you truly never know which way your body will be flung! It’s definitely personal preference, but because WDWs track is more surprising and chaotic, I think it’s a much better ride. And I agree with most when they say the WDW queue is far superior.
Great video with great arguments! I do agree with all of your choices except Space Mountain. I realize popular opinion is that Disneyland’s is better and I can totally see why but hear me out. When judging an attraction, I look at the entire experience, and WDW’s queue blows DL’s out of the water. I truly feel like I am part of a space epic and immersed in a star port through the visuals and peaceful music in the hallway. DL just gets me from SoCal to space with little transition. As for the actual ride…DL is better, but the smoothness and music doesn’t make as much of a difference for me as others. And then there’s the post show which is cute and a nice way to transition you from the ride back to earth. As a whole experience, I think WDW wins, but for only the ride portion, DL wins marginally
They actually changed the line at space mountain Disneyland and it's now indoors with AC and you have a space ship above you and it's much cooler now and has a better transition than before
Disneyland has 3 versions of Space Mountain with 3 soundtracks. Normal Space Mountain, summer is Star Wars themed, and best version is Ghost Galaxy for Halloween. All 3 are absolutely MADE by the amazingly timed soundtracks. However, Disneyland's Tomorrowland is in dire need of a cohesive, themed design and removal of all the graveyards of old attractions.
Space mountain in Magic kingdom had another ride that goes through it and I think it’s so fun when ur on the monorail and go through space mountain all u here is people laughing and screaming I had the best experience on both rides in magic kingdom
I've been to both. Disneyland is smaller, but is of much higher quality and content. Disney World has more parks, but feels cheaper and more run down in comparison.
@@august9085 Im from miami, 4 hours away from Orlando. But holy heck disney is expensive. This year I went back to disney after 5 or 6 years of not doing so. I also might go this week to volcano bay or Busch gardens bc I have monday off.
I remember being at Disney world two months ago with my brother on the speedway and the guy in the car in front of us was on his phone. he wasn't moving and my brother got mad but started to laugh. one of best memories ever!
Have you been yet? I’m a georgia native so going to WDW has never been a real issue. I’ve only been to Disneyland once, and I made sure to not take it for granted since I’ll probably never go again.
The Space Mountain in Disneyland Paris wins, hands down! During its most recent refurbishment (to "Hyperspace Mountain"), references were added to the Star Wars universe. Additionally, it does loopings and has an amazing speed :)
I feel the jerkiness doesn't align with the space theme. In space, you would glide not get thrown all around. On the Matterhorn it is the same car style as SM at WDW and it kinda hurt my back once I got off. Am I the only one who listens to the DL soundtrack at home? Lol
Personally, I have only ever been to Disney world because I live in the east coast, but seeing these videos are cool because it gives a perspective of the park on the other side of the country.
All of the common rides are close but overall MK does it better since there is the Carousel of Progress, The Peoplemover, and my favorite experience in the parks: Monsters Laugh Floor. There’s also more room to walk which is pretty important with crowds of those sizes. With tron coming it’s only gonna get better!
One of these years Disneyland needs to get around to bringing the people mover back. I loved that ride as a kid, especially since it tied the whole land together and went in and out of the different rides
IMHO the best parks in DW are Epcot (mainly World Showcase) and AK (love Kilimanjaro Safaris), which have no equivalents in DLR. But I believe DL (even without DCA) is better than MK and HS combined. I enjoyed Monsters Laugh Floor but the only attractions in MK and HS I wish DL had were the ones it lost: Carousel of Progress, Country Bear Jamboree and People Mover. For the common stuff, Splash Mountain, Tomorrowland and perhaps Winnie the Pooh are superior at DW. But Pirates, Space Mountain, Small World, Astro Blasters, Fantasmic!, Disneyland Band, Enchanted Tiki Room, Big Thunder Mountain, Teacups, Autopia, Disneyland Railroad, Fantasyland, Adventureland and New Orleans (vs Liberty Square) are clearly better than their DW counterparts. DW is roomier, but it also means taking 45 min to hop between parks and/or resorts, and walking through vast expanses of concrete in Florida’s humidity.
Can you please do a top 5 Walt Disney World Resorts ( they would probably all be deluxe but it would be cool ) and once I got 999999 points on Space Ranger Spin....I LOVE YOR VIDEOS!!
i’ve been to both multiple times and honestly Disney World is such a different (and better) experience because of how much there really is to see and experience and in disney land there is so much just abandoned scenes and it’s so much smaller that it feel less attended too.
I live in California and have been to Disneyland so many times. I’m going to Disney world in less than two weeks so I’ve been watching all the videos on this channel! Love the comparisons. I can’t wait to go to Disney world!!
I think Disneyland pays attention to detail better because they have such limited space compared to Disney World. For instance, Halloween time in Disneyland decorates both parks as well as The haunted Mansion and Space Mountain. I love it! The OG is my favourite.
Agree on almost all except Space Mountain. We just went first time to Disneyland 4 weeks ago and both me and my wife thought Disneyland Space Mountain was hugely more jerky and violent than WDW version. Plus the spinning tunnel at the beginning made us both disoriented and we were almost nauseated by the end. We both agreed we didn’t enjoy it at all and normally ride Space mountain ride several times during a vacation visit , but not at Disneyland. I wish WDW cars were side by side that was cool but the ride quality we felt is far superior at WDW
Rob Coile I personally believe the WDW version is more thrilling and unpredictable. The queue is also better at WDW. Tomorrowland is better overall at WDW.
Space Mountain is slightly jerky but not enough to make you sick. I think it’s really the soundtrack that makes it SO much better if Magic Kingdom had a similar soundtrack it would probably be better but I mean I might be a bit biased because Disneyland is my home park and that Space Mountain is my childhood
Aline Tesfaye not trying to hate, but the space mountain at magic kingdom is larger and makes you feel like your actually in space, you see where am i going with this?
@@amusementamazingg meh, yeah, I get your point but I really dont like the one in Magic Kindom, sorry. I prefer the smooth, faster and musical ride that Disneyland gives me :)
I totally agree with everything except for the Space Mountain. I’m not sure if it’s because of a personal preference but ; i love Walt Disney’s layout and i might be a little biased but i love how Florida did it!
Totally agree with your assessments. Space Mountain, in Florida, was disappointing to me. The weird t-bar lap bar combined with the lack of hand holds, made me feel like I was going to fly out. And it was noticeably bumpy.
Having been on Space Mountain at both parks, I do agree that the ride is smoother in Disneyland but I still prefer the Disney World version of Space Mountain. I hope you keep doing these because there are some interesting differences in Fantasy Land between the two parks. :)
Kid On The Block you are saying that because that is the only Disney park you have been to and have never been to Disneyland California or Disney world Florida
Discoveryland for the win, like the retrofuturistic vibe better than the cold white American "future" vibe, and before you say anything I have been to WDW too, multiple times actually when I was a kid and went to visit my family in Florida, recently went to Disney Paris and just liked Discoveryland better
Californian here and had an annual pass in CA for 10 years and I’ve been to Paris, WDW in FL and Disneyland in Japan. I think the space mountain in Paris is superior Bc of the actual ride experience, you actually get have inversions and loops indoors and you get blasted up pretty fast- (also went for the grand opening of the Star Wars overlay; and prefer the CA version of that Bc I can’t enjoy the scenery as much in Paris)...
Earlier this month. I tried the Disney World astro orbiter for the first time in my life. My vertigo went off massively. But it was so much fun. Knowing the Disneyland version is on the ground makes me interested in trying that one out.
I just watched this tonight and I completely agree with all of these choices. I live in Orlando and really wish our space mountain was that awesome. I miss the one in Disneyland and can't wait to go back.
I 100% agreed with you on all of these choices! It would be cool if they could add a soundtrack to the space mountain in Florida. I think the issue comes in the speaker placement- it looks like the speakers in Disneyland are on either sides of the two seats, but in Florida, there's only one seat, so nowhere to put the speaker? I hope to see that change someday though! Perhaps for the 50th!
I have only been on the Magic Kingdom Space Mountain, but I feel like there have been quite a few random changes over the years. For example, last month when we went on the ride everything was dark, from beginning to end, including the starting tunnel. I've been on the ride where the whole ride is pitch black, and other times when some parts of the ride have some lighting and you can see a little bit ahead of you.
Ive been to Disneyland a million and one times. I'll never get over it. I visited the magic kingdom for the first time a few years ago and overall I prefer Disneyland. But when I rode MK's space mountain I was in complete shock by how much more I loved it. If they added music, it would be everything. I loved the jerkiness of it, how low it was, and the single seats. AMAZING experience💖
I agree 100% with your choices the rockets at the front make Tomorrow Land feel much more crowded that's why they are working on the planters in the middle under the old people mover and making them smaller to create more space .
I agree! The cars on the Tomorrowland Speedway are really hard to steer. My sister and I went on it during the Not So Scary Party and we were screaming at each other saying “These cars are hard to steer! You should’ve let me drive!” It was a little bit of a crazy experience to say the least.
I love your videos and this comparison was really interesting! It was cool to see what you take in to account and what subtleties there are. I was wondering if you had considered doing a similar thing for Disneyland Paris since many (if not all) its rides are in other parks as well.
I remember going to Magic Kingdom for the first time & being so excited to try their version of Space Mountain, only to be disappointed and left feeling homesick for my Disneyland's version
Once the space mountain music must have been malfunctioning but they still continued the ride and I rode space mountain with the soundtrack It gives it a totally different feel and it was cool to listen to the track instead of being blown with music
I mean if L.A traffic isn't the best part of the ride attraction I don't know what is

I remember being at Disney world two months ago with my brother on the speedway and the guy in the car in front of us was on his phone. he wasn't moving and my brother got mad but started to laugh. one of best memories ever!
I love these comparison videos! I hope to get to WDW someday, so it's interesting to hear how the parks differ.
Lol
at least on the matterhorn it's a bobsled so you know
And imagine being on a bobsled while being chased by a yeti, Matterhorn is supposed to be like that
Personally, I have only ever been to Disney world because I live in the east coast, but seeing these videos are cool because it gives a perspective of the park on the other side of the country.
@@stevenschiro1838 And Cop and Country Bears. Those are also at WDW now.
I know how long ago this was posted but TPMvids never fails to brighten my day
Can you please do a top 5 Walt Disney World Resorts ( they would probably all be deluxe but it would be cool ) and once I got 999999 points on Space Ranger Spin....I LOVE YOR VIDEOS!!
I agree with everything except about the soundtrack on Space Mountain. I prefer the original silent version. Good work. Very enjoyable.
I have reached 999,999, but only because the ride stopped😂 (This was Buzz Lightyear’s Space Ranger Spin)
AwesomeguyN18 same and love your profile pic
Molly Millspaugh 😂 and thanks
AwesomeguyN18 I was stuck on splash mountain for like an hour and listening and listening to the music until they turned it off
Same here, ride got stopped for about 5-6 minutes and me and my sister racked up 999,999 points. I took a picture on my phone.
Josh Carson same here. I think I still have it but there is a good chance I don’t.
i’ve been to both multiple times and honestly Disney World is such a different (and better) experience because of how much there really is to see and experience and in disney land there is so much just abandoned scenes and it’s so much smaller that it feel less attended too.
But doesn’t magic kingdom make you feel like your in a actual spaceship in space mountain??
True
You have a point. I still like Disneyland's more
I live in California and have been to Disneyland so many times. I’m going to Disney world in less than two weeks so I’ve been watching all the videos on this channel! Love the comparisons. I can’t wait to go to Disney world!!
Subbed and now part of your notification squad :P
Same I clicked the bell
Rob Coile have you even been to Disneyland
XCRAZY Man you must not have read my reply, yes
Rob Coile I personally believe the WDW version is more thrilling and unpredictable. The queue is also better at WDW. Tomorrowland is better overall at WDW.
Space Mountain is slightly jerky but not enough to make you sick. I think it’s really the soundtrack that makes it SO much better if Magic Kingdom had a similar soundtrack it would probably be better but I mean I might be a bit biased because Disneyland is my home park and that Space Mountain is my childhood
I agree with your choice that Astro orbitor at Magic Kingdom does that ride the best!
I love this series. Can you do fantasy land next
Emma Sophia vs what?
I love the roughness of space mountain at WDW I also like it’s bobsled type cars
I do not light the roughness of space mountain at WDW. A roller coaster ride should be smooth and fun. So I choose Disneyland for Space Mountain.
@@softroseforyou7457 It's just my personal preference, like whatever you want
I agree :) I love Disneyland's Space Mountain, it is so smooth, fast and I love the music :3
Aline Tesfaye true Disneyland does it the best you heard him
@@Aline_Tesfaye it's alright, I'll make up my choice when I go to Disney Land, right 😂
I totally agree with everything except for the Space Mountain. I’m not sure if it’s because of a personal preference but ; i love Walt Disney’s layout and i might be a little biased but i love how Florida did it!
I love u and ur channnelll
Totally agree with your assessments. Space Mountain, in Florida, was disappointing to me. The weird t-bar lap bar combined with the lack of hand holds, made me feel like I was going to fly out. And it was noticeably bumpy.
Yup
Can you do Disney land vs Disney world fansey land edition.
Jaicob Perez fantasy*
In space mountain I like how when you're going through the ride, you hear other people that are riding it screaming.
Having been on Space Mountain at both parks, I do agree that the ride is smoother in Disneyland but I still prefer the Disney World version of Space Mountain. I hope you keep doing these because there are some interesting differences in Fantasy Land between the two parks. :)
I'm glad I got to ride the Space Mountain at Disneyland! The soundtrack alone makes the ride so much more fun!
Ummm space mountain in magic kingdom is soooooooooooo much better
Llamacorn Girl I agree
You’re right about Space Mountain, at Disney World I got dizzy, which never happens to me, ‘cause I love thrilling rides
DISENY WORLD😂💓(I like it better):)
SAME, DISNEYLAND DONT HAVE THE ATTRACTIONS DISNEYWORLD HAS
SAME!!!! DISNEY WORLD IS WAY BETTER!!!! (I mostly like it cause I’m a Floridian myself 😋)
The music alone in Disneyland's Space Mountain makes it a million times better.
"Space mountain is the most popular ride at tomorrow land"

Agree and Space Mountain in California is my ultimate favorite ride ever.
disneyland paris does space mountain the best :)
Kid On The Block you are saying that because that is the only Disney park you have been to and have never been to Disneyland California or Disney world Florida
no ;) i just prefer the one in paris because its diffrent! you actually see things when riding it, like astriods and spaceships
Discoveryland for the win, like the retrofuturistic vibe better than the cold white American "future" vibe, and before you say anything I have been to WDW too, multiple times actually when I was a kid and went to visit my family in Florida, recently went to Disney Paris and just liked Discoveryland better
No it sucks
Californian here and had an annual pass in CA for 10 years and I’ve been to Paris, WDW in FL and Disneyland in Japan. I think the space mountain in Paris is superior Bc of the actual ride experience, you actually get have inversions and loops indoors and you get blasted up pretty fast- (also went for the grand opening of the Star Wars overlay; and prefer the CA version of that Bc I can’t enjoy the scenery as much in Paris)...
I’m nothing without TPMvids
No No I don’t agree with you!
I do! With some options
Earlier this month. I tried the Disney World astro orbiter for the first time in my life. My vertigo went off massively. But it was so much fun. Knowing the Disneyland version is on the ground makes me interested in trying that one out.
Disneyland for the big W
Bryson Robinson screw you
I just watched this tonight and I completely agree with all of these choices. I live in Orlando and really wish our space mountain was that awesome. I miss the one in Disneyland and can't wait to go back.
Walt Disney World may have a better Tomorrowland, but Disneyland had better Tomorrowland attractions
You are so much fun to watch I love to watch about Disney and learn about Disney and all those little fun and mysteries and secrets
YOU REALLY THINK TRAVELING THROUGH SPACE IS SUPPOSED TO BE SMOOTH, WOW YOU MUST POUR THE MILK BEFORE THE CEREAL
SmokeKeeper 3820 and you think your a scientist all of a sudden
I 100% agreed with you on all of these choices! It would be cool if they could add a soundtrack to the space mountain in Florida. I think the issue comes in the speaker placement- it looks like the speakers in Disneyland are on either sides of the two seats, but in Florida, there's only one seat, so nowhere to put the speaker? I hope to see that change someday though! Perhaps for the 50th!

It was too tempting, I feel like a douche
I have only been on the Magic Kingdom Space Mountain, but I feel like there have been quite a few random changes over the years. For example, last month when we went on the ride everything was dark, from beginning to end, including the starting tunnel. I've been on the ride where the whole ride is pitch black, and other times when some parts of the ride have some lighting and you can see a little bit ahead of you.
KEEP CONTINUING THIS SERIES!
I actually love when you compare rides from to parks!!!!!!!! I love you vids tpm!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!😍🥳🥳🥳🥳🥳
Biggest difference between Magic Kingdom and Disneyland, the latter's Space Mountain has Mr. One-way.
Great video! Please keep this series going, I love all the comparison!
My only thing is that Disneyland I feel like has got a lot refurbishment, while Disney World hasn’t had as many.
Omg! My mom, my sister, and I are in the clip at 8:11 ! I was so young then I barely knew what was going on 😂
Once the space mountain music must have been malfunctioning but they still continued the ride and I rode space mountain with the soundtrack
It gives it a totally different feel and it was cool to listen to the track instead of being blown with music
