I always loved beerus but this made me love him more
I know I’m a year late but… I love this song. You make Beerus look almost sympathetic. Listening to the melody and reading lyrics, I don’t hear the story of a violent and prideful god. More like a person who's completely lonely, and desperate for anyone else like him. He’s vengeful and easily angered, and doesn’t take shit from no one. But at the end of the day he's alone, and that bothers him. I swear, your song makes Beerus look incredibly complex and interesting. It honestly explains why he was so desperate in the battle of gods film.
It also describes the way that he must conduct himself as a god of destruction. He can’t acquiesce to the demands of anyone else in the universe. If he shows the slightest hint of compassion, people will take that and use it for all its worth. He can’t sympathize with anyone. How else would he be able to keep the universe in balance if he sympathized with every people and planets he destroys? He may be a god, but he still knows that he is not a god among gods. That being is Zeno and Zeno can’t erase entire universes with a mere thought. He doesn’t just have a responsibility to keep the balance, but the responsibility to faithfully and diligently fulfill the role assigned to him by Zeno. So any fool that challenges him must be made an example of or else Zeno will not believe he is deserving of his position.
