Hi Luke, Pakistan holds a very special place in my hearth, as my biggest love so far, was from Lahore, we have been together for 10 years, and I visited Pakistan many times (about 12 times). He has unfortunately passed away since. But Lahore and Pakistan will always be like a second home for me. I agree with you, the food is great, the nature is beautiful, there is rich history and culture. But what stands out, is really the hospitability and kindness of the people. As a female traveller, I always felt safe and respected. I got invited to weddings, to delicious home cooked meals by afghani refugees living in very simple conditions and I got so much respect and kindness. One of my foundest memories is when I was invited to attend a free englisch course in Peshawar by a afghani refugee. I thought some englisch there (even though englisch is obviously not my first language), and the students where so thankful to me. They where all believing muslim, and I am a woman and not a muslim, and still they respected me.

@@nasunrj99 I of course never approve of terrorism. But I dont judge a whole nation because of that. Most people in Pakistan are not terrorists, and just want to have a normal and happy life. There are bad people everywhere. I mean, for an example: I dont think that all the US citizens are crazy and bad people, because they voted for Mr. Trump to be their president.

The Pakistani clothing that Luke is wearing looks so comfortable. Way more practical than western style dress. Even the shoes are amazing; great quality and great value.
Thank you so much this long form of video compile by you like me can't travelled I love the present from Pakistan I watch all the way thanks done for your channel embraced notified all please returned the good vibes
Mr. Martin, I have upon occasion, written to you regarding your food exploits: Now I am writing to you regarding the immense importance of your anthropological type video such and including this one. Screw the Instagram photoshoot... This is real and I must say, inviting. I know that you are not a child, but "Good job, Sir!" Just letting you know that for my entertainment needs, this (no food pun intended) hits the spot... Thank You
08:30 these wooden twigs are called "miswak" which translates to toothbrush. Using miswaks is an Islamic tradition recommended by Prophet Muhammad. Its usually from a tree called "Arak" in Arabic, or Salvadora persica the official scientific name. Neem trees are also used but they are more bitter than Arak.
Pulao is always mild . Chola pulao Kabuli pulao Matar pulao All pulao are always mild . I'm sorry if I sound ignorant but I really don't know but I don't see women walking on the streets. Is it the culture there or women are restricted like in Afghanistan? Sorry and if any Pakistani could enlighten me it would be greatly appreciated.
Just generally it's not as common because in Pakistani culture women don't usually walk alone on the streets. The father usually earns for the house and the mother looks after the children and the house. Women go out with their family and usually travel via transport. Businesses are usually handled by men so it's most common to see men rushing around alone or with their family. But there is definitely still women around.
@ayaankhan-eh1xy pleaseeee you just replied right after I saw a video of a man in a bike harassing a woman in burka in karachi and running away. Don't speak for those women
The fact that a lot of people are wearing face masks mean this is an old video from the COVID time and made in Lahores cold weather. Video is outdated.

My favourite foods in Lahore are Halwa Puri and a salty Lassi for Breakfast. And for lunch or dinner Sarso da Saag.

Nisar tika 10:50 should control over way of talking
Its not the right way to talk in Pashto
Siwak, this toothbrush had been used since our Prophet
Video is way too long
Lets talk about women rights in Pakistan?
In major cities both are equal
There are no women looking at the video
@@ayaankhan-eh1xy as someone from a major city (lahore) we are not equal, women get harassed all the time they go out. We cant go outside alone
@@Hau37w8
Never been to lahore but in karachi women are pretty much equal in everything
Jobs , education , driving and more
@ayaankhan-eh1xy pleaseeee you just replied right after I saw a video of a man in a bike harassing a woman in burka in karachi and running away. Don't speak for those women
