The new shelter gives me massive FONV vibes with how it looks like the open desert of the Mojave. My guess is some players will potentially take advantage of that to create New Vegas inspired shelters.
Like the enclave workbench, but they need to chill on the size of these things. That robot cooking station, blacksmith bench and now this are all huge. I like the casino gatling skin, but i wish they'd stop making a skin for a weapon and then making another similar skin for the same weapon. The pepper shaker would look great with a light up skin
"That robot cooking station, blacksmith bench and now this are all huge." Same with the Corvega car-lift weapons bench. There's barely room for anything else in the Red Rocket Garage when you use that; so I've had to place it into a second garage in my Wasteland bunker since the one on the main map houses _all_ of my workbenches that I use on a daily basis. =/
still use my camp with a house that has every crafting station in a 2x2 sized room... lol - all original models... no way i can do that with the newer ones as much as i love them.
By the looks of it, the "Brotherhood" camp kit definitely seems to be based off of the aesthetics of Camp Venture, where Taggerdy originally set up the Appalachian Brotherhood. There's nothing else for the Brotherhood I can think of that it could be related to
Royally love the mountains in the distance of the new wasteland shelter. I've got the older one and it's where I've been highlighting most of the prefabs in my collection. I was originally going to just have them in there as a showroom so people could see what they'd get with the basic packages, but got bored one day and began filling them with other items to make the wasteland look more lived-in. I wish the Greenhouse Porch Kit had been around last year. Would've looked great on my camp when I was using the greenhouse walls for the main structure along the Western river.
I'm a little foggy on the details of the fallout tv show trailer but I think the brotherhood build kit is a meant to be based on the wooden structures we saw at like the airstrip vertibird area in the trailer, because from what I remember of camp venture it looks nothing like those buildings having smaller and closer planks that are darker and grimier.
Vera is from Dead Money in Fallout: New Vegas! but you are right the robobrain from that Vault Gilda Broscoe is mentioned too! Some great world building
Shelter reminds me of the first two Fallout games, and a little of New Vegas. The dirt and spaced out shrubs. They really should allow us to put generic human NPCs for ambiance, I don't understand why they don't allow this.
I suspect it's because they expected everyone to treat Shelters like pvp arenas (they're one of the few areas where pvp can't be turned off, after all), but, being Bethesda, they never bothered putting anything in place to enable either players to notify others of a pvp event, or even to easily see if a shelter has been set up for pvp, so everyone just uses them as decoration that very few people ever see 🤦
The "brootherhood" building thats your very typical "military barracks" though, so I can def see it fitting with them. Reminds me abit of the buildingstyle though last seen in FNV.
The enclave work benches, weapon display rack, and lizard all have me pretty excited!! I have a connected enclave theme across my vaults (an armory, a regular vault/barracks area, and a wasteland creature study lab vault)!! Each of these items would work so well for the theme, and that new paint for the Chinese stealth armor would look great on an armor display stand as well!!! Just sooo many good upcoming additions!! Gotta say a solid 8/10 on my scale!
Pleased we are finally getting a BoS camp mate! LONG overdue. I also like the Cooper Howard posters, little tie ins like that are a great touch. Thanks for the great video as always.
Yep. One of the most badly thought-through mechanics in the game. I suspect they wanted everyone to use them as pvp arenas, but, of course, nobody does because there's no way of notifying other players that that's what you've built.
I'm a big fan of the concept of outdoor shelters, I'm pleased that this new one does not have some obnoxious weather/atmospheric condition in play like the Pitt and Toxic Wasteland do. I've been hoping since they did the Pitt shelter they would release an outdoor shelter located in the forest, clear skies and preferably with a water feature of some sort. But this one in the desert looks really nice also. Hopefully it will have the same greatly expanded budget limit as the Toxic shelter.
I wish we had more options for the shelter entrances. I want a few of them, but the entrance options will not work for my current builds and thus they miss out on a few sales. If they made each shelter come with a unique entrance, and you could use that entrance in any currently owned shelters, I could see being incentivised to buy more shelters.
I don’t mind the vast plane shelter types , I just need the budget to stretch further…. However now I can build my moored submarine with full interior so looking forward to it . Already created a super tank with a cramped interior that looked lived in so this will be the next step . Some good stuff coming up .
This might be a hot take but I hate the big, open shelters with nothing in them. It's not really possible to fill that kind of space given the build limits so I wish they'd include something to build in/around. Like a unique prefab built into the shelter to give it some flavor.
yeah I'm expecting a prime bundle out of the duster, posters, and maybe the ally (being a "maximus" type). still not sure how the brotherhood build set fits in tho, unless they just needed something to fill it out.
I think shelters are cool and all . But I will not go into a players shelter even if their store is in it . I don't know why . but I think most people wont . If they made a fast travel option , I def would 😅 Also , I wish they'd make a workbench bundle . like each of the benches the same theme . or at least the same size. As a .. decent camp builder , its frustrating trying to get them to all look right together . Keep up with the videos though ! its always nice to see FO76 STILL active !
Some of the items look pretty cool. I like weapon skins that have more color to them. The crafting stations are all so damn large and extremely and awkward. Hard to fit into a lore friendly camp and the budget we have.
Stilling waiting for my enclave mineral extractor that datamined like 2 years ago. The enclave workbench will fit nicely with my enclave themed camp and shelter though.
Definitely gotta get that gunslinger outfit and enclave workbench! And the new shelter. I'm hoping that bench might be a part of a new enclave bundle? Cant get enough of enclave stuff!

Oh look another Brotherhood Ally that still isn’t wearing Power Armor. Why is the concept of NPCs wearing power armor so difficult for the devs to understand? The fact that not a single NPC guarding Fort Atlas is mind boggling.
The new shelter is cool I liked the massive wasteland shelter and this seems to be similair in size. I'm actuely planning on doing a jurasik park theme shelter. Also happy with the pepershaker paint that's coming in.

The bigger benches are more “interactive decor” imo, if you want utility there is smaller options
