Good to see it in the wild. As I've mentioned before, I wear my SMP 300 everywhere: gym, running, chores, detailing my truck...you name it. Keeps on tickin'!
Ive had this watch for about a year, i dropped it a few times. There are no chips or scratches. Looks exactly like the day i bought it. The only thing that will scratch the ceramic is diamond. I loves this watch so much.
Awesome watch Bruce! For those looking for a more affordable alternative to this, I highly recommend the C63 Colchester from Christopher Ward. The injected carbon case only weighs 38g and the dial is very legible. It has a very practical push-in hidden crown as well. Tremendous value all around. I’ve been loving mine.
I bought the Black Sedna Version 2 Weeks ago, what a Stunning Watch. Since Day 1 the Watch gained 1! second, unbelievebale. I with you Joy every Day you wear the SMP! Your Blk Blk Looks very cool!
I love the fact that you don't care about damaging it (and you really should) watches are meant to be worn and not sit in a drawer or vault, enjoy the watch with good health.
First off I loved this video! Hope your shoot more videos out in Mother Nature. Second I love this watch! Looks great and I think you covered peoples questions/concerns well. Super versatile and cool tool watch. To break the case you would have to whip it so hard against concrete that really any watch is going to have an issue. I own a standard SMP and I have it at an Artem Nato. Watches are tough and a modern sports watch is definitely going to be able to take anything you take on it unless you fall down a mountain and like you said your head is a lot softer than the watch.
I would love to see Omega release a 40mm Seamaster 300m slightly thinner and a tapered bracelet for the 75th. Even if the movement wasn’t as good as the current SMP that would be an epic release. I do believe they will release something else for the Seamaster’s this year besides the Summer Collection. I just don’t think they’re done yet.
Agreed! The dimensions are one of the reasons why I decided to purchase the 2012 ceramic model instead of the modern versions. I also prefer the older designs.
Get a Deep Black, but get one with either red or blue highlights. The black one has a polished dial, whereas the red and blue ones have a matte dial, not so reflective. These have GMT functions with the jumping hour hand. Great video shots, by the way!
I had the blue seamaster and sold it . I’d like another rebuy because it’s probably the the nicest diver at the minute. I’m still into the big oyster cases of the black bay line at the mo but like you, I’ll swing back round in this merry go round of buying and rebuying watches.
Great looking watch Bruce. I geeked out today for the first time really using my jumping hour hand to move past the 31st on my PO, so I definitely get it. I wouldn't knock this one for it though. Great video, looks like the trip was awesome!
Great thoughts Bruce. I love that you just buy what you like. I've been on the hype train for several years and have owned several Omegas (speedy, Aqua terra), one IWC Mark 16, and other cheaper watches... Was dreaming about a Rolex explorer for a few years until recently a friend offered me his omega de ville hour vision with the art deco dial from around 2007-2017..... It is unique, like your Cartier is unique... its not a watch that everyone goes on about every day on youtube. .. i will see it in August and hopefully buy it, and I'll be glad that i didn't go with just what's popular.. it made me realise that i need to spend my hard earned money on something that I love... not something that will be approved by people on youtube Plus i think omega make more interesting watches than rolex, and i love them as a brand more...i mean, both brands are great to be honest... but i need to get away from JUST waiting for a Rolex call...i can get thousands of other brilliant watches that are actually out there and available There you go....i love your collection at the moment
My first thought was absolutely not, not a black watch fan personally. My second thought was, this one is okay after all. I like the Artem Strap. Green River?
They do make a version just like this one except it has white hands and markers, a normal indexed bezel, and titanium in the crown and bezel. super legible
@@nedflanders3769 yeh the re issue in green. Fabulous watch…..always looked down on Seiko but this one has changed my mind in a big way. I sold my BB58 because the Seiko was always on my wrist
That’s a chocolate teapot 🤦🏻♂️ the primary job of a watch is to tell the time 🤔 I can’t see the time on that fashion watch Bruce 😬 Omega has totally lot it in the last few years 😬
Sorry bruce tried one on , and just didnt like it. Too light, and too dark , might as well just get a g shock. Much prefer the steel models. Interestly though i do like the light side of the moon white ceramic visually at least , although it would be too light in weight too, im guessing. All these fancy new materials and rubber straps , for the money are just awful really, like the richard mille , i just dont see the value. Just buy a swatch watch , less hassle but will probably last as long for like $100.
Agree mate, Rolex are like bum holes now, everyone has one, lol, was out in the west of London last night, Rolexes everywhere and very few omegas, one of those was mine. On the list for the blue Sedna gold constellation from today, cheers Bruce baby, your costing me money, you are definitely not a cheap date 😂😂
@@vinnieomahoney6359 i dont like them because they are overrated and overpriced. also the dealership experience SUCKS!!! ROLEX is for idiots who dont know anything about watches and think its the best. its like when a common bozo thinks about cars and right away MERCEDES comes to mind. OMEGA has better history, better innovation and better styling
I've owned this watch for over a year now. In person, 95% of the time the watch is perfectly readable. I find the only time I cant read the dial is when its not dark enough for the lume to show...so usually around dawn/sunset.
No offence but that looks nastily cheap and very tacky, seen one in person, nah, not for me at all, personal choice folks personal choice, in omegas defence it’s good there trying new things but that, for me really doesn’t work, sorry
Good to see it in the wild. As I've mentioned before, I wear my SMP 300 everywhere: gym, running, chores, detailing my truck...you name it. Keeps on tickin'!
That’s the way to do it!

I really enjoy seeing how excited you are talking about this watch. Clearly you’re having a great time with it. Enjoy!
Thank you!
Never wanted to go out and use my sports watch more, you the man brucey

Black, black. No better Omega for me! My wife always said, "once you black, you'll never go back" and she was so right :p
My wife bought this one for me. It doesn’t get much wrist time but it’s a solid addition to the collection.
Super fun sport watch. Black is never a wrong choice 🖤

This version is like making a bicycle and then putting square shape tires on it. A key aspect of a dive watch is the legibility.
I love the fact that you don't care about damaging it (and you really should) watches are meant to be worn and not sit in a drawer or vault, enjoy the watch with good health.
Even a dlc titanium bracelet would be amazing 🤩

I think Tudor blacked out the movement for its ceramic BB? Agree, should’ve done something that movement. Cool watch, glad you’re enjoying it.
I love mine, but I agree it should have the 8900, with the jump hour function.

Not for me---- but totally killer. Super great intro!
Beautiful watch and scenery.👏🇦🇺
You are a brave man! That’s for what G Shock from Walmart is for 😅

I'd like to see a comparison with the Tudor BLACK BAY CERAMIC
(I've got the Tudor Fastrider Black Shield ceramic ⌚)
Love this watch
Looks like the Seiko SRPD79 has some competition with this Omega watch lol

It’s really awesome but I’d worry about dial legibility 😮
There is a version with high contrast markers
You need a phone to read time with this watch. Grey index and hands on grey dial is just bad design haha.
My first thought was absolutely not, not a black watch fan personally. My second thought was, this one is okay after all. I like the Artem Strap. Green River?
Yes we did sections a and b
Buying my first Omega. This or a Moonwatch?
Great watch, fantastic scenery.
I have since 1 year and i love thid black black beauty
Cool watch but I prefer the Tudor Pelagos for the ultimate summer watch. Especially if you have the wrist to wear it.
Just don’t drop it.
I've dropped it on carpet, fortunately not concrete haha
Yep, drop it on the rocks or even just a tiled floor and it’s likely time for a new case.
It will bounce back up
It will bounce back up and pop right back on the wrist 😎
You’re really over exaggerating. Have you handled this watch at all? lol. Also don’t drop ANY watch.
I think your wrong, the ultimate sports watch is the g-shock DW-5600 full black
Too predictable
I want an all ceramic watch but the visibility on these keeps me away…the ALL black makes hard to read for me
They do make a version just like this one except it has white hands and markers, a normal indexed bezel, and titanium in the crown and bezel. super legible
This version is all about stealth, they have other black iterations of this model
Will check those out - the catalog is so extensive it’s hard to track all the variations
Can it be a beater though?
What is the green strap you have on this in some of the clips?
Artem Loopless Sailcloth
@@BruceWilliams thanks so much! Just picked this piece up today!
Great watch 👌
Are those scratches on the antireflective coating at 3:29????
No
Great video, great watch. The Seiko Willard is my hiking watch. Tank tough and despite my best efforts hasn’t got a scratch on it
Do you have an original or the modern reissue? I have the latter, in olive green.

Defeats the point of a watch if you can’t even see the time! 😳
If you have decent eyesight you won't have a problem.
Compare with Tudor ceramic
Maybe it looks better in person? On camera it looks so so
It does
i have the deep black PO all ceramic GMT 600M unreal watch, way better then SD50

So hard to read

Pretty useless underwater you can see the hands these are "fashion " watches in my opinion
Why would anyone ever want such an illegible, brittle sports watch?!?
