- It's about time I got around to doing this song by the Turtles. Haven't done any by that group and this is another favorite of mine. Don't remember having a request for it but now you have it anyway. The remastered version is another lopsided stereo version I used make this new one. Hope you like it!
This song is so groovey, it should be a movie!

As a radio DJ on 2-for-Tuesday I'd get the most responses when I'd play Happy Together & this one back-to-back.Good song, Great Job!
Just think,The Turtles put this out as an intentional mickey-take on their record label. The result kinda backfired: an immortal classic was born! ❤

Just today (Feb. 15, 2022) I learned of Kenn's passing in January. Truly a tragedy. My thoughts are with Kenn's family and friends and those who knew him through his wonderful work on The Music Enhancement Channel. His absence will be painfully felt by all who knew him.
I found Kenn's channel quite by accident 5 years ago while browsing RUclips. It was the best discovery I ever made. His talent for tastefully upgrading oldies music was superlative to say the least. How can I adequately describe the effect it had? What description can there be for the memories Kenn resurrected for me and so many others? Kenn's abilities were unique. He wholeheartedly devoted his skills not only to keeping the oldies fresh in our minds, but to heightening the experience as well. What Kenn did was a labor of love, and it showed in everything he produced. And what he did may well never be repeated or even attempted ever again. This, too, is a tragedy.
Rest in eternal peace, Kenn Wingle. I will always think of you as a friend.

Why do I remember the second verse ending "I really dig you, Elenore... dig me." (a subtle pun on The Beatles' "Eleanor Rigby.")

Love it!!! I heard that Howard and Mark, when they wrote it, tried to use the "hippiest" far-out lyrics they could come up with, sorta like a joke, but they wrote a great song that is so happy.
Yeah apparently they wrote this song as a troll. They were tired of the mass produced garbage the labels wanted them to record. No wonder Howard and Mark ended up with Zappa not long after 😉

Word is record label was pressuring them to come up with another big hit after Happy Together and the boys decided to write a tongue in cheek tune but thid "joke" too was a massive hit.

Everytime there's a new enhanced song upload from the 60's, I have a flood of vivid memories from my teenage years. Those were some troubling times, e.g., Vietnam War, the draft, anti-war demonstrations, race riots, etc.
Great song takes me back to my youth.Loved the Turtles ive still got one of their albums.

Excellent job! One of my favorite songs from my "yute". How about enhancing "This Magic Moment" by Jay and the Americans? That song gives me chills and the way the orchestrals build and build would make an amazing enhancement. Keep up the good work!
