Re trade war: but my start-up IS in Canadian eCommerce! It was hard to just look at the news once.
A lot of it is posturing, but once the Canadian bear is poked, it’s not going right back to sleep. The 30 days just gives us extra time to get set up. I’ve ended my contracts with American suppliers and unsubscribed to any American company’s products in our tech stack. My sister’s company (robotics) cancelled $30MM in American supply contracts last night. Hope to see that increase to $100MM by the end of the week.

Alex, you do a great job on introducing founders...one slight feedback though, it would have been good for the Lovable founder to explain how it compares to other AI tools with a similar purpose and name them (Replit).

Jason, why should there be an "accreditation test" for crypto or anything? Ask people to read a waiver they can lose their money and trust them with their own money. Do you need a test to invest in stocks, real estate, sports betting or the lottery?

Jason, there's not much difference between a sovereign wealth fund (SWF), government pension funds (Calpers) and "trusts" like Alaska and Texas. If anything, it incentivizes government to save and invest instead of spend and waste. Starting the SWF seems like a wise thing to do and see how it goes over time. However, we are glad you are finally concerned about the debt so we can't wait for you to state clearly in public that every dollar sent to Israel and Urkraine be returned with interest.
