  • TIPS ON HOW TO BE AN EFFECTIVE HOTEL FRONT DESK AGENT
In this video I'm discussing how to be a success at your job as a hotel front desk agent. Taking pride in any job is a plus, especially this one because it shows and guests can tell if you're having fun. I have fun every day while I'm behind the front desk. It's like a performance in a way and my guests are the audience. I'm a people-pleaser so hospitality comes natural for me.

YESSS, Absolutely. I'm not in the hotel business anymore but I utilize all of the experiences and people skills I've acquired over the years in my reselling journey. I have an eCommerce business now reselling clothing full-time on eBay. I love it! Best decision ever. The older I've gotten the less I'm willing to put up with peoples nonsense. No more entitles guess flipping out on me over something that's outta my hands. Lol. #Blessed
I wish U the best and thanks for watching!

I have an interview tomorrow in person, had 1 today by phone, it's going to be in Marriot, any suggestions on how to ace the interview? I feel Confident talking to people & English Skills. J know computer basics, but they train u for their computer system correct? The recruiting manager was very happy when I shared my customer service skills, & interest, It's just being able to use the system monitor, entering the information simultaneously for me, but I feel i can conquer it.

I have a major interest in working front desk at a hotel, I even have the customer service background but I just can’t get one to hire me. What am I doing wrong

Hey Terrence, good morning and I hope you’re doing well! Since I’ve made these videos I’ve moved on to being a Life Coach at a treatment center and now I opened my own company selling on eBay. Working for myself is a game changer. Hardest thing I’ve ever done, but best decision ever.
In regards to your question, I got you. Since you have customer service skills you’re ready do go. You just need an opportunity now. You already have a sharp, clean-cut appearance (which is what a lot of hotels look for as we’re pretty much the face of the property.) If you’re really about this life I’d suggest dressing the part and hitting the streets. Instead of calling to see if places are hiring, hit the streets and try to speak with hotel management personally. If you get the opportunity to speak with someone that’s hiring, let them know about your work history and that you’ve been doing your research on the position. If you find a property you like that’s not hiring for front desk, see if they’re hiring for a bellman or another position you wouldn’t mind doing until a front desk position becomes available. A lot of hotels/ resorts like hiring from within as they already know how a person works and there’s a rapport built with said employee. Every hotel I’ve worked at there’s always room for advancement one someone leaves or gets fired.
You may have to start at a small 2-3 ⭐️ hotel just to get your foot in the door in order to get your experience. There’s a lot you can learn about the job and people working at smaller properties. But if you find a hotel that interest you, do your research on the property, check their reviews on trip advisor and see if it would be a good fit for you. As long as you get a foot in the door you should be solid. 👍🏽

O.k sir, so I watched a few of your videos after reading one of your comments from a diff guy's channel regarding slipping the front desk host a $20 AND I wanted to ask you if you know any hosts I could slip a $120 for the best upgrade available at places like the Venetian, Bellagio, Mirage or anywhere in the heart of the strip? Not sure if you still work as a host or not but would appreciate access to your network of friends/coworkers in the industry. Whoever I go through could give you $20 just for the referral. Thx

Hey I appreciate your comment and for checking out my video. I don't have any connections in Las Vegas, although I wish I did. I live in Arizona so if you're ever out here let me know and I'll see if I can do anything for you. Have fun in Las Vegas whenever you go. Be careful.
