@@NTWoo95 personally, I believe that Islamic people are our brothers and sisters, we just approach God by different paths. But as for Sherrif Hassan, he was absolutely among the most reasonable and moral characters. The irony of Bev calling him a terrorist after she's burned all the buildings and shot him...well that's what makes her so despicable, that she refuses to see her own evil and doubles down on it. And at first I wanted a worse fate for her. But really, in her last moments of utter terror and despair her faith deserted her, because it was a hypocritical faith - which was the worst fate of all. It shows how fast things can go awry when religious fanaticism takes hold. This is not specific to Christianity, but to all religions. In this show it was Christians who were the misguided fanatics, and the Muslim character who was the one with some sense. But in real life we see just as much how Islamic fanaticism does the same thing to people. If we abandon all reason, religion will steer us wrong. But yes, at the end all relgion was treated with respect, beauty, and forgiveness.

I think the show has incredible worth, Christian-wise. The show ends with a community breaking free of false religion/fanaticism and uniting in song to willingly submit themselves to God's will. Nothing short of heavenly.
@@ericambrose7024 I agree. At the beginning I thought the show was about mocking Christians by saying they would believe in anything. But most of the people in the town weren't really that religious to begin with. When people started witnessing miracles they also started justifying everything around it, It was also a reference to the anthichrist in revelations, and it was taunting seeing these horrible things being done in the name of religion like it was done so many times in the past
It sounds like the same 4 part harmonies that are in my traditional hymn books, so you’ll probably find the sheet music online if you don’t have a hymn book. 😊
As a Christian, there were certainly some eye-rolling moments for me, but guess what? It's shows like this one that brings people to Christ. I know it only strengthened my faith.
Why do people who say they're atheist, agnostic or otherwise irreligious always have to preface their comment with a declaration that they're of that ilk? I mean, God forbid, pardon the expression, I or anyone else would think you a Christian or religious person because of something you wrote! Nor does it add any great emphasis because it's coming from an unbeliever. Mike Flanagan is apparently an atheist. I suppose like Riley in "Midnight Mass," he's studied all the world's religions etc. and come up empty. Rather reminds one of Goethe's Doctor Faustus, doesn't it? Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer to thee
Though like a wanderer
Daylight upon
Darkness be over me
My rest a stone
Yet in my dreams I'd be
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer to thee
There let the way appear
Steps unto heav'n
All that thou sendest me
In mercy giv'n
Angels to beckon me
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer to thee
Then with my waking thoughts
Bright with thy praise
Out of my stony griefs
Bethel I'll raise
So by my woes to be
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer to thee
Still all my song shall be
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer, my God, to thee
Nearer to ...
Love this song ❤️
Abandon Ship! Every Man for Himself! - Captain Edward J. Smith
RMS Titanic
April 15th, 1912
It's the end boys you've done your duty you can go now.
A night to remember 1958
Band leader Wallace Hartley
RMS Titanic
April 15th, 1912
He never said this, he actually tried calling lifeboats back to take more
1500 souls
Climax uff 😭😭😭😭
Pulvis et umbra sumus,
Omnes pulvis stellarum sumus,
We are stardust, dust and shadow,
Lux aeterna luceat eis domine
Requiem aeternam eis domine
And so it is said, that the RMS Titanic is a ghost ship now that carries the spirit of those who die at sea to the other side
May those 1'496 poor souls rest in peace

I truly hope to die proclaiming my faith.
I was glued to the Netflix how powerful brilliant 👍
Amen
What's midnight mass, I just found this scrolling on my search for nearer my god to thee
its a netflix tv series
@@Defender888888 never heard of it :/
Run, don’t walk, run to Netflix and binge this limited series. The best series I’ve seen.
@@The_East_Charleston_Railway It's both the thumbnail and the only image on screen during the whole video...
Just like Titanic 1997 Movie
Some of *_the b-e-s-t_* renditions of these hymns certainly that _I've_ ever heard. Even tho the show itself is ambiguous in terms of its worth Christian-wise, at least it produced these...
I think the show has incredible worth, Christian-wise. The show ends with a community breaking free of false religion/fanaticism and uniting in song to willingly submit themselves to God's will. Nothing short of heavenly.
@@farid1406 Falsa religião?
@@farid1406 I agree, it's beautiful!
I think the show was about the dangers of false prophets.
This was the last song on titanic when it sank
Was this song made before the end of the world?
This song was used for comfort as the world ended
It's the same song as from the final plunge of the Titanic.@@000TQ000
This sounds like the titanic
Anyone know who is actually singing? Is it a Church choir?
The actors in the show
Does anyone know the chords they used?
It sounds like the same 4 part harmonies that are in my traditional hymn books, so you’ll probably find the sheet music online if you don’t have a hymn book. 😊
@@katinafruitloopcwmcerwyn I actually found a lead sheet and started learning it 😊
@@kimberlymichiels Perfect 😁. The 1st bit of my user name will find me on other social media platforms, drop a message if you need any help 😊😊😊😊
On ne peut que penser au TITANIC 😢😢
Me driving my friends directly into the storm after one of them stole my gun.
almost makes you want to be religious
This was an AMAZING series
😢
As a Catholic, didn't like the series, but the song gives me the chills
gee i wonder why you didn't like it lmao
@@alextromagnetic cus she doesn’t understand it
As a Christian, there were certainly some eye-rolling moments for me, but guess what? It's shows like this one that brings people to Christ. I know it only strengthened my faith.
Sonh from titanic .
You came here because it’s Stranger Things. I came here because of Titanic. We are not the same.
Anyway, maybe I should start prefacing my comments on "Midnight Mass" with "As a Christian, ...." Nah.
This song dedicates me because of this 🧊💥🚢.
First time in a long time I got goosebumps through my whole body. It was mighty sweet ❤️
