Many thanks for this amazing tutorial. Very informative and detailed. For some reason dimension got the perspective wrong. Shadow could also be softer, a little to harsh, I guess dimension lighting has that option. Many thanks!
i would like to thank you for you great tutorial and effort. i have one question tho, how did you make sure that your design would fit exactly in the bottle ? did you have the bottle mesurmenrts before you designed the sticker or how it works ?
she likely designed the label with the object in mind but if you're creating the label first you can usually find a template that works for your design or scale accordingly. in dimension you can adjust the scale of the x, y and and z coordinates by clicking on the object and going to properties on the right side.
Yes, good tutorial. I have to agree with the perspective issue raised though. Bottles are taller than the flower pot. You can see tops of bottles yet you cannot see top of pot. Something to consider.
it need to remember what scale the decal was set to, if you have already duplicated the object. Rendering looks mighty slower than c4d...but the integration with stock objects and adobe library seems nice.
Great tutorial, I would say one of the most informative about this specific program. However I am not convinced by the first scene: three bottles and flower. Bottles are in completely other perspective than flower, same with shadow. It shouldn’t be casted simply to the right but a little on the wall in background like plant. Anyway great and helpful video

The fact you can't change a model's shape in precise units makes Dimensions useless for most designers. No client uses generic one-size-fits-all boxes, bottles, bags, etc... If you do want a different sized model you need to make your own in a program like Autodesk, and if you know how to do that then what's the point of Dimensions?
that's why it is a mockup editor. Not a 3d modelling program. If you want to edit everything yourself you have to learn programs like maya, blender or c4d for yourself. Read what a program does before you download it. It explicitly says 3d mockup editor
@@notcollyn6633 right, but even for a mockup editor it'd be really useful to be able to scale the 3d models to precise or at least proportional units. In my experience it would be a real time saver. Maybe in future releases. At least the last version surfaces support more than one decal.
hullo thanks for the good video, i want you to help me, am very okay with Oval bottles and shapes but i want to design it from scratch with flat plains on the sides........i need your wisdom on this, like the bottle above u are demonstrating with..........thanks for yo time..
i was wondering " wait, hold on, did I hear Margot Robbie speaking ? but then I was like, ah she is a Aussie so you might be having the same accent" ^_^

Probably picked the bottle and exported the uv into photoshop and designed on that template

Aww, you're welcome
I can't add the decal from CC library it says file type isn't recognised, even tho I did what you did from Illustrator
Can anyone tell me if it is possible to drag out a cube and then change the dimensions numerically?
Desktop angle error
