  • So I decided to go out and hit up something I'd never heard before - a Sentry. Upon arriving at the siren I found this flat parking lot to be the ideal place to set up for a distant shot.
I can't really say my thoughts here unless I want to get sued for slander so I will sum it up in four simple words: I was not impressed.
The owner of Table Rock Alerting Systems has told me that it is probably reverse wired, so I am updating the title to reflect that.

14Vs at least have directional rotors like an ACA

All Sentry/Sterling sirens have directional rotors, and their SPL falls through the floor running in reverse. When Sirens for Cities installed the 40V in Huntsville they initially wired it in reverse. The EMA's communications director took a video of it and one after they swapped the phases, and the different in SPL was apparent enough that you could tell through the audio. I've seen the rotor of a 7V8-B in person and it's basically built like a longer version of the 8 port Model 5's With the vanes shifted to make it directional. The 2V8s were also directional.

Does Corsicana still run their 2t22’s? I was there a few weeks ago and saw them and wondered if they still run
