GGB gang. our Easter episode. we've been so excited for this episode and we've been SO excited for Easter.
this episode means so much to us because it is ALL about the death, the burial, and the resurrection of our Savior.
a lot of reading, a lot of theology, a lot of the same Spirit that raised Jesus from the dead.
we will be fasting from Friday to Sunday to honor our Savior if anyone wants to join. (remember to use wisdom when fasting... fast from food, or a specific food, or a juice fast, or even a social media fast. do your research and be safe always.)

Heavenly Father, thank you for paying the ultimate price for me Lord Jesus. Although I am not worthy, you died on the cross for MY sins. There is no greater love! Today we worship you and really think about the price you paid so we can all have an eternal life.

I’ve suffered for a decade with panic attacks. Every day my Mom prayed for me. I didn’t believe for a long time. One day I was overcome with this feeling that I wasn’t alone. I felt a sense of warmth I didn’t understand, but it compelled me to speak to God for the first time since childhood.
I got on my knees and prayed and cried for God to forgive my sins. I listed out every bad thing I ever did. I was so overcome with peace during my confession that I couldn’t even believe how much I was shaking and sobbing. Nothing had moved me like that before.
Since then, I’ve had no panic attacks. I’m working on a personal addiction of mine. This podcast makes me feel like I have 2 friends with me in my journey. Reading the Bible helps tremendously. I am building up the courage to go to church.
It’s a beautiful feeling. Thank you Lord for forgiving and loving us all. Happy Easter everyone. 💙

I had just recently found God in the last few months after fighting addiction and horrible mental health struggles. In the last 2 weeks I found this podcast and felt closer with God than I ever could have imagined. I was listening to this episode while driving 3 hours home from college for Easter and was listening to this episode to familiarize myself with the story of Good Friday when I was hit my a semi-truck and spun through 3 lanes of traffic at 65 miles per hour and ended up unscathed. As someone who has had horrible anxiety for my entire life I had felt peace in that moment because I trusted in God. He saved me today and has a plan for me or else I would’ve been gone this afternoon. Every day is a gift and I beg anyone who reads this to make Faith a priority in your life because it will save you like it has for me.

I’ve been sober from marijuana going on 8 weeks and it’s ALL thanks to God and his miracles are working through me! My mom passed away earlier this year do to a stroke late last year she was 97 I prayed to God l said “Lord just take here home”because her quality of life went immediately downhill,and Yes i miss her and dad but they’re better off(My dad passed away in 05, he was 81)
Jesus came he came to fulfill the old covenant(Christianity is Judaism fulfilled) Happy Resurrection Day.
What did JESUS see in us? In this world? You look around at what's happening in the world today and it makes you realise why He did it. If you've never been moved to tears over the suffering and death of JESUS then you have to seek Him. He is a personal, loving and understanding God, He knows us better than we know ourselves. He is worthy!!
Why doesn't Jesus show himself like he did 2000 years ago? Does he enjoy leaving millions of people in doubt? Is it just a game to him?
I watched the Passion of the Christ last night after listening to this podcast. God gave me this revelation that whenever I sin or keep doing things that are not right or Godly, I'm acting as if what Jesus endured - all the suffering and mocking and punishment - was for nothing. When I allow anxiety and depression and fear hold me back, I'm living in a way that Jesus already died for. He didn't go what he went through so i could live a mediocre life.
I’m so scared to watch Passion of Christ. I have only watched it once in my life and I just can’t get myself to watch it. However, I feel called to watch it but I am scared.
@@nonhlanhlakhambule9375 I found it hard to watch what Jesus endured, but I found it so helpful in understanding the sacrifice He made. Seeing it as well as reading about it in the bible gave me a much deeper understanding.
Many people have endured much worse pain, over a longer period than Jesus and we don't worship them.
Jesus only gave up his weekend. He didn't really die.
Jesus had one really bad day and now he is the ruler of the universe? I'll take that deal. How about you?
Jesus died for the sins of the whole world, yet he was without sin. People are sinful. I pray that you will receive the holy spirit.
Passion of the Christ is one of the best movies ever directed in history. Mel Gibson did a remarkable job and it’s so sad to see the actor who played Jesus Christ be blacklisted for his performance.
When Jesus cries out "My God, My God why have You forsaken Me? (Psalm 22:1). Jesus became sin for us. So, for the first time in eternity, Jesus couldn't see His Father. He had to experience the separation. His communion with the Father was broken. He could no longer experience the presence of God.

Yes, Jesus did not merely pay for sin, He became sin. The key word is" became". If He didn't become sin for us, we could not become righteous. 2 Corinthians 5:21
He carried our sin in Himself all the way to the depths of hell, so we could be raised all the way to the throne of God! Ephesians 2: 5-7
Jesus hasn't sacrificed for us (sinners). If He would have really sacrificed for us (sinners) His love would have never been so great. Try to understand. He gave his life, bcs He was in love with his Father (God). Only because of love to God and His will he sacrificed his life, because it was God's desire to do so. That's why Jesus's love is great. And if someone is in love, he doesn't suffer physical pain. Jesus suffered separation from the Father at that moment. Separation from the beloved God is real suffering and not some physical pain.
So good. Reminds me of when Jesus prayed in Gethsemane. “If it is possible, let this cup of suffering be taken away from me.” I used to think he was afraid of dying. He was never afraid of dying/being hurt. He was afraid of that moment of separation from the Father because of all humanity’s sins upon him 😭❤️

This is my first Easter at church, with God, and understanding the true meaning of Easter. I grew up eating chocolate every Easter, except for this year. This year, I reflected on Jesus only… it’s so amazing to know the truth and be set free through Jesus!! Thank you God!

literally bawled my eyes out and brought myself to my knees when Ari mentioned how heavy the cross was, I love Jesus so much it hurts me that he was tortured so badly but my pain will never compare to his. This is my favorite episode by far I cried throughout the entire episode. Also, I'm going to the Good Friday service at my church in a few hours and this totally set the tone for me. I am so excited to worship him, in God's house, with everyone else who loves him as much as I do!! God bless you guys and anyone reading this. Happy Early Easter!!

PRAY FOR ME ALWAYS
Prayer is so powerful. for me, I call on Jesus’ name EVERY time i think or feel lust. He ALWAYS shows up. The feelings flee.
I recently came to Jesus the last couple months and I just fasted for the first time, started Wednesday morning after eating breakfast to Thursday afternoon. I’ve been feeling I needed to fast for multiple reason, and I received wisdom and clarity that I was looking for as a result of the fast. I had been feeling disconnected from God and Jesus because I stopped reading the Bible as much for the last week and a half, and fasting allowed me to get closer to God again and made me realize I was indeed feeling that closeness before, I just wasn’t sure what that felt like. This is my first Easter week that I’m celebrating seriously and it’s incredible to learn and understand the level of sacrifice and pain Jesus went through for us. I’m still a new practicing Christian (kinda grew up w it but not like this) and I’m excited to continue to celebrate His holidays in the future as I become closer and closer with Him. I’m sending love and blessings to all the GGB gang and I hope everyone has a good Easter Sunday!❤️

To those of you reading this who may not be Christian or who are somewhat luke warm, please ask yourself this: who in your life saw you at your worst and died for you to have a chance to be a better person, who was tortured and died in the name of love for you and your family and all of us (no matter where you’ve come from or what you’ve done), whose dying breath was an ask for forgiveness for the very people who were killing him. Jesus stood for and died for love, for everyone. When I reflect on this, an immense love grows in me for Jesus, my friend. Not only that, but he beat death. If you’re suffering or feeling any sort of death in your life, call to Jesus and he will answer. When I was at rock bottom, I called to Jesus and he answered. He’s real. Thank you Jesus 🙏
“If you are not connected to God, you are just existing.” So powerful! May we all be reminded during this Easter to not just exist, but to walk boldly with the Holy Spirit dwelling in us and be reminded of the price he paid for our transgressions on that Cross. Be Blessed GGB Family!🙏🏽❤️

His love for us brought Jesus to the cross. The women's love for Jesus (which came out of having experienced the incredible and pure love of Jesus) made the women get up so early and go to the tomb to anoint Jesus!
I am 100% convinced that you both would have gone to the tomb that early too - while the men were at home.

I watched an interview with Jim Caviezel and he talked about the making of The Passion of Christ. It gave me chills. I highly recommend that you watch! The miracles that happened and the pain that Jim physically went through to play Jesus was so mind blowing🙏🏼

I've never appreciated our TV networks celebrating Holy Week until now. Every year, they broadcast :The Passion of the Christ, The Ten Commandments and other Lenten shows/drama. Despite the corruption and poverty that my country deals with, knowing that the majority of us are Christians still gives me hope and peace.

Our country is a big catholic country, tho I may not associate or identify myself as catholic because they are not 100% strictly biblicaI, I now appreciate symbolism and religious practices/rituals so much. I now understand that those are just "reminders" (not something you put on a display to make yourself higher than others). A Lot of us may not have that deep level of understanding and relationship with God yet but people buying palm fronds? To celebrate palm Sunday? until now? That's so cool man.🤩 But again at the end of the day, it's not about what we see on the outside but rather the posture of our heart that truly matters to God. 😊

I gave my life to Jesus Easter Sunday last year. 🙏🏽
The Lord used two things to bring both myself and my husband to him, at the same time on the same day. We watched the Passion of the Christ and we were gutted. I knew that if this story was true, then I needed to research and follow this man. We read The Case for Christ by Lee Strobel, an atheistic journalist turned Christian. We both realized we needed to submit our lives to Christ. I was Wiccan at the time and proceeded to throw out all my books, crystals, altar items, etc. I read later how people in the book of Acts did the exact same thing. Praise God for giving me a heart of flesh in place of a heart of stone so that I could receive Jesus through the revelation of the Holy Spirit. Easter is my favorite day of the entire year because I know it’s when my Savior defeated death. God bless you ladies and I pray you have a blessed Easter.

When you said that Fridays are heavy and dark and Sundays are the best day it got me thinking. What does the enemy always do? Twists and inverts everything. So through the influence of the enemy what has man created nowadays? Fridays are great! The weekend is here, woohoo. And Sundays we dread because we go back to work on Monday. Total inversion.
The fact that is was three crosses that day
One sinner refusing to change
Jesus in the middle the bridge
Next someone who repents who calls on Jesus
It’s still the same for each of us jesus stands in the middle of death or resurrection
He is our high priest with a better covenant
When Ang starts preaching i start crying 😭 every episode!!! Such an annointing on these girls. I'm not a new believer but i am a new devoted follower now and this channel has literally been the game changer I needed to connect my story to the story of Redemption and my family has even noticed that my season of waiting and understanding and pursuing Jesus has completely leveled up in unprecedented ways, and its because i have found podcasts like this one that help me with my own personal relationship and learning and comfort.
This whole episode from beginning to end was such a blessing. The Holy Spirit is so strong on the both of you. Thank you for being obedient and for making this episode 🫂🤍
Fasting today, and I turned this video on so that I could distract myself and feel the spirit. I cried so much throughout this video because I felt the spirit confirm every feeling and thought I have.
Jesus is Our savior. He loves us more than our hearts can understand and Heavenly Father is merciful for creating the perfect plan so we can come back home.

Thank you, Jesus, for your death and resurrection! This weekend, my fast has been going really well. During this fast, God has been giving me prophetic dreams concerning my life.
I love that y'all are putting emphasis on the veil being torn in two because as y'all were reading that's what stood out to me and that revelation was so powerful and not many people reflect on that portion when talking about the cross.
I cried so much this whole episode I really understood how much God loves and waits for me to come back home

The egg has actually become a symbol of resurrection or "new life". In the medieval period, eggs were not allowed to be eaten during Lent so on Easter eating eggs was considered a really treat.

Even though I am the child of a pastor and grew up in church, it was only after listening to the Girls Gone Bible podcast that I really started reading my Bible (at 29 years old) and it has changed my life. I started with John like you suggested and have read through Romans, Galatians, 123 John and am making my way through Matthew now. When I finish a book, I ask my Dad for new ideas of what book to read next. He said going through the gospels is a great place to start.

I always took Jesus’ cry not about feeling forsaken but about reciting Psalm 22. The people knew the Old Testament very well and in hearing that, it would help them piece together that Psalm 22 was really a prophesy of what was to come: Jesus’ death.

Wow, I watched The Passion of the Christ last year over Easter weekend for the first time because I was too young when it first came out and I had the same experience you ladies did. I was weeping at what Jesus endured for us. It made his sacrifice so much more real to me more than i had ever understood. Thank you Jesus for being our perfect Savior! We can never repay the price for what he did but to lay down our life for him in return and accept him as Lord of our lives! Our God is so good ❤️

i was also young, around 4 years old when my mom and i watched Passion of the Christ. i haven't been able to watch it since i cried so much the first time but you guys have inspired me to see it again. it really hurts to see what Jesus went through but it's important for us to remember what he did for us

I love how you guys mentioned that we are a vessel for someone else, because this Easter my whole family went with me to church. While they do believe they are lukewarm and I’ve prayed every single day for over a year that they come to church with me and truly declare Jesus Christ as their Lord and Savior. And them going with me meant so much, to make it even better my brother wants to go again next week!
