I never dated in high school or college. I was so uncomfortable with the idea of dating I simply avoided it. And my feelings never changed as I began my career. Bought a house, and established my home. I had friends, did all kinds of things, and drew close to God. I finally accepted the fact that I was ok remaining single and celibate. Happy now...
So you got at peace with being single? Im trying to do the same. Maybe there is no one for me. Or i am not suitable to anyone. Could be.
Update: I now have no ability, much less desire, to be in a romantic relationship.
I was in that place where i didnt have any desire to get married until maybe 5 years ago and i think
I loved and enjoyed not having the desire than having the desire now. Makes me feel awkward

there is a chance to have a godly marriage , GOD doesn't look at age . He could be preparing you for your future spouse . as long as you are content in Jesus He will give you the desires of your heart

Yes for sure! Run after Jesus and fellowship with him and your family will change by seeing your change. God will work through you
Yes. You can't put your life on hold. People mean to cheer you up and "give you hope" but life goes on. By insisting you are just in a tiny season and life will begin once you are married you are wishing your life away. You are getting older. Don't waste the life God gave you by sitting around with your life on hold waiting for what may never happen.

@maladroitknight because women in general still expect their boyfriends to give them wife privileges, e.g. protection, provision. But nevertheless this comments begs the question about what spirit you carry. If you naturally have the spirit of Christ in you, then you'll display the character of Christ. Which means even the dating phase you'll NATURALLY be showing all the Characterstic of a wife. It won't become something you can switch on and off. You'll naturally be giving, serving and submissive.

This is one of the best sermons I've ever heard on singleness and dating. The funniest yet serious line was " Before God brings you Eve the devil offers you a monkey. Don't date a monkey. " This is so true bcz I've been offered a monkey😂🐵😂.and I'm so glad I didn't settle for less😂🙈 But seriously I loved the concepts of tithe, going to sleep, being a wife etc. Awesome points 😊 Thank you so much Pastor for preaching so well and also making it available online. I messed up…I thought I was ready but I’m not, I thought she was the one but I was presenting her to god like a monkey and was wanting him to fix her when Im not fixed myself. I still have a lot of issues god needs to work on within me before I’m ready for a wife. This stings but I’m thankful to god for speaking to me through your sermon. God bless y’all ✝️

Married people should not preach on singleness. I always want to know how you achieved spiritual perfection before you got married at 24? I do not agree that you have to be whole and the perfect Christian in order to get married or be ready for dating. It's really callous and judgmental of you to preach things like this.
I guess it works differently with some people but it’s best to be right with God before dating think of it like this, before you date be so lost in God that the other person has to seek God to get find you. But relationships will be harder if your both are not really stabled spiritually but eventually you both help each other out to have a Godly relationship. It can work differently
Married people can preach on singleness because they've been there before. It should be even more insightful since most single people want to be married and so they that have a successful marriage are the perfect choice for a sermon like this and not someone that is single giving tips on dating.... It sounds like you felt attacked by the sermon, no one is saying to be perfect all it was about was giving it all to God; focusing on God and he will do the rest.

@@samanthamack1881 I understand. Nothing is wrong with desiring marriage or companionship, most if not all of us do, and we have to or the human race would go extinct. Remember God said to be fruitful and multiply, He himself said it is not good for us to be alone.... What is important is, we cannot allow people or things to take God's place in our lives... a time that we should be focusing on the truth and getting closer to God and obtaining happiness on our own we instead choose to use that time to find someone or something that can make us feel good or happy or at ease and it simply doesn't work out well. God is saying come to me all who are weary and heavy laden and I will give you rest... It's not about being perfect already, no one can ever be. It's about at least trying by having a relationship with God; 2 Corinthians 12 “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” God knows we have weaknesses and he is there to strengthen you. Imagine this, a person that is an addict realises it’s bad for them and then they build up enough motivation to stop but then after a week they get back into it again, however, they keep trying and they stop eventually and they feel a peace and happiness they could have never experienced before… it is the same with us and sin… when we sin, it’s not that easy to stop and God knows this, yet once we keep trying with God’s help we will have a breakthrough~ Philippians 4:13 we can do all things through Christ who strengthens us.. But imagine an addict that doesn’t even try to stop, in fact, they embrace it, that person cannot be better and truly grow until they realise that they need to change and only they can make that decision, the same with us if we are living in sin, only we can make the decision to follow Christ, no one can make that decision for us, in the same way we can’t make that decision for others. So, when dating, date people who are at least trying (people who have a relationship with God themselves and that don’t let you fall into sin, while you’re at it be that person as well, a person that displays love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness and self-control~ the fruits of the spirit, Galatians 5:22-23.)
Singleness in your teens and early twenties is not the same as your thirties, forties or fifties. People are oblivious to stuff like this.
Technically this sermon is about preparing for marriage instead of giving dating tips. I believe God wants me to do something I couldn't get done if I were married. This may apply to you as well.
In times of persecution it's better not to have a spouse and kids to worry about.
I’ve been in a relationship for 5 years and this message hit me. It’s tough and idk what else to do. I can’t keep asking God to fix Him
Pray for that person. God doesn't want us to be with unbeliever it's unequally yoked and against Gods word

@@iElia Wow, YES it has been! Time goes by so fast. My faith is still going strong & my relationship with the Lord continues to grow through each and every season. I've definitely had moments where I struggled with temptation and I know in this life, I will continue to face trials and temptations, but I look to the Lord, who is my joy and strength. He will always provide a way out.
"No temptation has overtaken you except what is common to mankind. And God is faithful; he will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted, he will also provide a way out so that you can endure it." -1 Corinthians 10:13

I recently accepted Jesus but i was already in a relationship and living with someone and we are having a child. Now i don't know what to do because the person is not financially ready to get married. I really don't know how to handle this.
