there's a fairly standard formula (think "Last Word") within the bartending community that goes something like... base liquor + herbal liqueur + bitter liqueur + sour... i've tried it on the fly with Four Roses Bourbon + Angostura Amaro + Disaronno Amaretto + Lemon Juice on the fly to high praise as a result. it's important to balance dilution, sugar content (inherent in the liqueurs for sure, but also in the bourbon flavors and lemon oils, too... pay attention to that balance when adjusting your ratios and give it a whirl. cheers!
Quite possibly, although (as I’m sure you know!), you easily switch in bourbon here and it would work really well. I’d bring down the Coffee Saccharum slightly to counteract the sweeter spirit. Let me know how it goes! 🥃
Glad you liked it! No need to boil the saline, just dissolve the salt into hot water and you’re done 👌 you can even use cold water, you’ll just need to stir for longer.
Looks delicious! I'm really glad to see tasting notes at the end
Thank you! I will be sure to keep them in for future vids 👌

Great video! For the saline solution, how long do you boil the salt and water?
