    Korone is like Suisei: A natural born gamer. She has excellent hand-eye coordination trained over years of playing classic Famicom games, known for their difficulty, and she has played some of the most difficult games out there, like Battletoads. It takes her little time to adapt to games that require you have good hand-eye coordination, like fighting games.

      @MansMan42069 Год назад +5

      @@devoncampbell3607Both are equally as important. Doesn't matter if you choose correctly all the time if your fingers can't follow.
      Conversely, deft hands are only suited for the combo lab if you have no idea what to do.
      They go hand in hand.

    • @SakuyaFM4
      @SakuyaFM4 Год назад +3

      Suisei has that trait but also when she has to do something, she does it full force and as good as possible. When you think about all of the competitions she's participated like the yearly Mario Kart tourney, or StartEnd's Apex runs, she practices A LOT. I remember when they made Startend, Suisei hasn't played Apex that seriously but she was playing better than 99% of Golds during that time.
      Korone definitely played the heck out of SF5, and a Psycho Power character is just so like her. Super nice to have someone as accomplished as Kazunoko coaching her.

      @kwj_nekko_6320 Год назад +1

    • @kwj_nekko_6320
      @kwj_nekko_6320 Год назад +1

      I think that, as of now, the most confusing FGC terminology in Japanese language is the terms for the spacial height of an attack. In Japanese, the usual attacks (blocked by any stances) are 'upper level' ("joudan", not the "mid level"). 'Mid level' ("chuudan") means the attacks blockable in standing position but unblockable in crouching position.
      This mix-up comes from an unfortunate coincidence, and even against the intuition of Japanese native speakers. They constantly confuse all the newcomers, but it is too late to be rectified.

      Tbf, right before that scene, it was pointed out that Korone does not use standing block stance even when the opponent is attacking from the air. This is because the main anti-air move of JP is crouch-HP, and Korone has practiced it too hard that she just automatically crouch even when anti-air counterattack won't make it.
      Giving up the anti-air counterattack is not an option. If the anti-air is landed correctly, JP can punish the jumping oppenents quite hard.

      That's a new character in this game, some dapper fella called JP. Won't spoil you too much in lore, but Bison is gone and he's now kinda the new villain.

      both his appearance and especially his voice, even in both English and Japanese, seem very inspired by Christopher Lee's villain roles

    I'm very much out of the vtuber rabbit hole. Can someone explain why in tf is one of the USFIV gods coaching casual vtubers? Thanks.
    EDIT: Thanks for the explanation Boyz. I see that Daigo and Fuudo are also coaching other casuals in the tournament, I understand the dynamic of organizing teams of casuals with pro coaches.
    I might want to jump on the streaming of this tournament for fun!
    I'm still envious about it tho 😂😂.

      Because there will be a tournament on Sunday. And Vtubers seemingly were invited for their popularity in Japan. Think of this as less of a competitive torunament and more as promotion with a casual audience, who is not neccessarily has interest in fighting games.

      There is a regularly and privately held e-sports event called CR (Crazy Raccoon) Cup, and this time (June 25th) it is expanded to include SF6. CR Cup is basically a team battle tournament, each team is a mixture of amateur "enjoy" streamers and pro-level legendary gamers.

      one of the other team had Daigo Umehara as their coach, too bad none of the Holo rep is in that team

      @@tedjomuljono3052 The leaders of all teams are top-level pro gamers. In Japan their fames are not that different from each other.

    I think DONPISHA (I dunno his name, sorry) purposefully took hits in that match against Korone.
    I'm about his same rank and there is NO WAY IN HELL that JP's slow azz command grab will hit me fullscreen. Not to mention he got hit twice naaaah
    Then also letting JP zone him when he's using Guile??
    ... I can only surmise that that was his way of being considerate to Korone.
