McKayla Maroney is as strong physically as she is mentally. She performed so so well in her career despite her fractured and broken bones and that abuse she had to go through. She’s accomplished so many things in such short time. Just imagine what more the woman couldve done if she had had a better environment to flourish in.. I’m wishing her nothing but the best in her future endeavors.❤️❤️❤️ the best vaulter ever!!!
I love seeing the height she gets on that vault! With one fall on her landing she was still in the lead until Sandra Isbaza went! She was the best vaulter competing in the vault final in my opinion.
Daniel Leza Even if she had no injuries, she would still not have made it ti Rio. Simone already had her second vault upgraded by then. Simone had more difficulty and was more consistent on vault than McKayla. So McKayla was not needed for Rio.

Yeah I think she wanted to stick the vault without bending her legs but you see how late she opened up her body for the landing. Her center of gravity is also too far away from her legs that's why she sat this one down.
She was high on the horse, because she didn't snap enough. By the time her hands left the horse, her feet were far past her shoulders. When blocking, the sweet spot is the hands leaving the horse RIGHT before the feet are directly over the shoulders, meaning by the time you're in the air your feet are still swinging up. She didn't snap on the preflight enough for that to happen

I think she's the best vaulter in the world, wether she won silver or gold. Everyone knows she can do better and that the gold medal belongs to her. And I don't know why, but I kinda like her voice

She wasn't the best on that day and that's what matters in the end. You have to hit, that's what separates sport from art. You don't get a medal based on what you did last year, or yesterday. She was world champion going in but so was Wieber who didn't even make the all around. Gabby Douglas wasn't crying the blues because she won and Jordan didn't, 'beating the best in the world.' She became the best in the world that day.
And maybe if she hadnt been the victim of the pedophile acting as the team doctor...She was the best at what she did despite being sexually assaulted on a regular basis. That girl has superhuman mental strength to accomplish all she did.
