    I find myself doing it on myself daily. No one taught me. Well maybe Earl Nightingale. It's basically putting a positive spin on every little thought, feeling and action.
    And then while you were talking about the word subject. And how we had subjects in school. Now I think of them as inJECTions into our SUBconscious.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  17 дней назад +2

      NLP is about much more than just putting a positive spin on things. In one sense, yes, we all do NLP. We're all engaging in unconscious processes. NLP codes those unconscious processes so we can make them conscious. When they're conscious, we can change them.

      @@DamonCart , I said basically because for me when you break it down it comes down to being intentional with monitoring and modifying every single thought and behavior of mine. It's how I cracked the code to perpetual joy.

    I find myself using allot of the meta model lately I guess I'm practicing & I kinda notice its a useful tool when chatting with women 😂 bypassing objections using the modal operators is kinda interesting & asking questions is the best way to argue 🤣 I was inspired by the Socratic questioning 😭 My Milton model needs allot of improvement too 😂 inspired by the laws of power 'keep your words vague' 😭 I'm writing this comment before watching the video though.

    The one issue I have is the idea that there is no self worth. That I know is wrong. There is no self respect without self worth. He needs to use another definition.

    • @nils4415
      @nils4415 21 день назад

      Yeaah u can just skip what he says on self worth, he doesnt know what it is. For selfworth he does a reframe thats not helpful for most people, a more helpful definition is what you believe you are worth, and you can alter that belief to absolutely anything.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  20 дней назад +7

      @user-kv9dl6tp3m okay, prove that self-worth exists. Worth implies a measurement of value. We can measure energy in food, calories. We can measure distance in miles or kilometers. We can measure weight. We can measure value on a house based on what someone is willing to pay for it. How do you measure your worth?
      The problem with self-respect is the distortion in your mind that led you to want a dualistic thing like self-respect. How do you respect yourself? Self-respect implies that you have divided yourself into two parts, one that does the respecting and one that receives the respect. This creates a lot of problems. If you have to focus on respecting yourself, rewind and find the source of the problem because needing to respect yourself implies a deeper problem.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  20 дней назад +2

      @nils4415 tell me what self-worth is then. Worth implies a measurement of value. We can measure energy in food, calories. We can measure distance in miles or kilometers. We can measure weight. We can measure value on a house based on what someone is willing to pay for it. How do you measure your worth?
      If you play this game with self-worth you will always end up losing. There's no such thing as self-worth so when you try to measure it, you will either inflate your ego or you will feel terrible about yourself. Either one will harm you. It's unstable. Seeing through the illusion of self-worth will free you to access and fulfill your potential.

      Personally I haven't had the time to make enough mind space to objectively process Damon's reply, but it's obvious that he's not just speaking to hear himself talk. He's obviously put himself and his experiences through the wringer while also finding a way to explain those processes to the rest of us, his audiences, which deserves a fair amount of credit. 💪

      @@DamonCartit really is not for me to say anything more than what I said. If a person has no worth, meaning no real value, even to themselves, there is no good opinion for them to have of themselves. If you think there is no self worth objectively ok, but subjectively, self value and hence self worth must be present in a well balanced person.

    What is the best single book that summarizes the core principles of NLP and how to get started using it on yourself and others in practical areas of life

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  17 дней назад

      Can't think of a single book that summarizes NLP. It's really difficult to learn NLP from books. Anything by Steve and Connirae Andreas is going to be the most accurate. I recommend my training, which is the same cost as a few NLP books. You can find it at ultimatenlppractitioner.com

      @@DamonCart why is it hard to learn from a book

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  16 дней назад

      @@billusher2265 because NLP is experiential. You learn it through experience. You start by watching someone, who knows what they're doing, demonstrate it. Then you practice. You won't completely get it the first, second, or even third time. It helps to have a community to learn with so you can ask questions and compare notes with others. You can't do this with a book. You can't see a demonstration in a book nor can you ask for help.

    I love the concept of NLP. You say beliefs are not real, totally agreed there are so many unconscious beliefs that screw us up, but where does Jesus fit in this situation? That isn't subjective. Just the same as NLP.

    • @DamonCart
      @DamonCart  19 дней назад +2

      I didn't know that Jesus was essential for understanding NLP. You might have a belief that Jesus is a messiah, but that belief is not a fact. It's just what you believe. Belief and fact or not the same. If it were a fact that Jesus is the messiah, you wouldn't need faith and faith is essentially what Christianity is.

      @@DamonCart What I felt was insecure may or may not be true. We don't know each other, yet I respect you and love your work. I was simply wondering where the concept of Jesus fits within NLP or if it is completely different - your decision to target that as a religious debate instead changed the subject, from a slightly defensive tone. It's totally ok if it was or wasn't. I honestly don't have the will to have those conversations, you believe what you believe. I believe in NLP too, almost like a lifestyle; And as mentioned, respect you and your work because it has helped me and still does, even now. Keep up the good work, you're helping a lot of people.
