My husband, type1 diabetic since 4 years old, dementia, 7 heart attacks, stroke. 4 different back conditions resulting in lots of pain and very limited mobility. Most of his eyesight gone. Kidneys mostly gone. This is just part of what diabetes can do to you. I was his only caregiver for over 20 years. He wouldn’t let anyone else help. He died 5 years ago, at age 67. And during this I had four surgeries in four years. Last 2 for cancer. And I still was taking care of him. And so many other health conditions that I have. Morgan Freeman, I am so sorry you have fibromyalgia. I have it too.. No One understands this horrible disease, even me.
I live in Shawnee, Oklahoma and I found out this week from SSM HEALTH, that I am banned in 2 of their clinics. I was shocked! In 2017 I went to Dr.Jeremy Holter as a new patient, but my husband & I didn't care for him. This Doctor saw I was on Hydrocodone and said he would not fill it. He told my husband & I that his family was on it and saw what it did to them. I'm not his family. So, I guess he doesn't understand fibromyalgia Like most people don't. Anyway I can't use a Doctor in 2 clinics here, which is most of the
Doctors. I am so scared not having them. You and the other people that has fibromyalgia knows what it does to you and how you feel.
It makes my Heart aches for you
I have prayed 🙏 since I read about you having it. People have texted telling me that they understand what we all go through. I bet if these people at SSM HEALTH in Shawnee, Okla.
Wouldn't want it, but they would want pain medication.
I got ran over at 13 months old, 3 car accidents, alot of trauma from my ex-husband, have chronic arthritis, and siactic nerve. But they don't want to give me my pain medication. Dr. Barrett a orthopedic Doctor started me on it in 2004 or 2007 for the chronic arthritis. I kept getting worse and worse that's when a Rheumatologist said I had Fibromyalgia also.
So, if anyone reads this please pray 🙏 for me.
And pray 🙏 real hard for Morgan Freeman.
Does anyone know if you can be banned by 2 clinics just because we didn't want this Doctor for our Primary Doctor? Thank You

Fibro and many other things disappeared. My HOMA IR my whole life was around 4.5. Very high. Finally at age 65, it is 1.2 and I have more energy as well. HOMA IR is glucose x insulin divided by 405. My husband went ballistic and every health professional visited. I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatic-a .

I also had migraines bad. I would have about 5 a week. I took the shots when they first came out. Helped a lot but they would not give me anymore because I was taking to many. Had Botox shot didn’t help. Prescribed a med which I could only get it at a hospital pharmacy. It worked like a miracle. It was an old medicine that they really didn’t use anymore. I thought why they never recommended it before. I know now, I went into kidney failure. I eventually got my levels almost back to normal. I am now in stage 3 kidney disease. Not sure if I would have eventually gotten to this point or not because of all the different stuff. My brother is stage 4 and doing dialysis 3 times a week.
One point here is all these celebs are suffering also. I get that. But, the rest of us do not have the money they have and can’t afford to try different options. I’m saving this video because I want to share it with friends and family who sometimes act like what I’m describing is just in my head. I began showing symptoms when I was 19 but it took almost 10 years to get diagnosed because the disease is so variable and so individual. Lupus is frustrating and hard to deal with. Morgan Freeman most likely isn't hiding any other condition. Fibromyalgia will definitely make keeping to a schedule difficult, this condition comes with chronic pain, depleted energy and impaired cognition at times and the severity often changes suddenly and flare-ups are very debilitating.. Lady Gaga also suffers with fibro, and has had to cancel shows on several occasions, it is a major lifestyle changer, you cannot effectively plan for tomorrow, because fibro can take that plan away in just a couple of hours. The necessary medications required also have serious side effects that further hinder day to day living.

Imagine having those with diseases without support or money. I know many who have had these diseases with little support or money. They rarely get hospitalized for a seizure. Many with dementia stuck on the streets or just shoved in a care home that is understaffed. Not being able to afford home care, etc. Much easier to keep upbeat when you have support. I tended to my brother for 10 months when he was dying of cancer which took long to diagnose. I would not change those 10 months for anything. My dad got cancer and was terminal before diagnosed just as was my brother. Thankfully I was able to advocate for both and they got proper treatment after I got involved. That is just 1 person being a support. One person to press for a diagnosis. One person to say they have cancer. Find where it is and treat it
My mom had Bell's palsy and was never diagnosed. I knew but she didn't want me to accompany her to the doctor.

I mean, for crying out loud, I have bad allergies with a weak immune system and seriously can't even handle a cold, treating it like my potential deathbed, and with these new diseases out, like COVID, I've been living in a panic ever since because they're unpredictable and affect everyone differently. Every time some contagious illness goes around, I almost always get it. Doesn't help that cardiovascular issues, high cholesterol, type 2 diabetes, osteoporosis, and migraines run in my family. She got cancer and where she lives in Texas they wouldn’t start chemo treatments on her until she paid a portion of what she would owe in the end. It amounted to several thousand dollars. She sat around for 4 months before they worked out an arrangement with her. The first treatments caused her neuropathy in her legs so bad she’s lost use of them. After several months of treatment the chemo drugs were not available. They were prioritizing younger people to receive what they had. So they’ve taken her off all chemo. She had a fistula grow from her colon to her bladder and because of her cancer and condition she’s not eligible for surgery. So she is bed bound, waiting for infection to set in and kill her. He son who hasn’t turned 30 yet cares for her because there is no money for hired help. They had her sign up for Hospice and at 65 she just waits.

Yes, we all agree that their lives are privileged. However, that doesn't take away from the fact that these "privileged" people are now ill, and they are/were our icons, loved by millions who WANT TO KNOW everything about them. Most of us feel empathy with, and sympathy for them. They did not make themselves famous or rich - WE DID THAT for them. So, don't go grudging them their previous good fortune, or trying to make us feel guilty for wanting to know how they're doing now that they are ill and/or frail. Don't indirectly blame them or their fans for the ills in the world, or for the failings of the people in charge of the "richest country in the world". Put that blame where it belongs - with your local and federal government, and with yourself for voting them into power, and keeping them there. Apathy never got anything done.

Fibromyalgia is very hard to deal with. It is a chronic disease, and very hard to deal with. I have cried 😭 and cried 😢..
I also have chronic arthritis, bad asthma, & siactic nerve. All these are really bad.. I want to do things, but my body just can't. I can't walk far, stand long
Can't hardly ride in a car, especially out of town.
Until I read about Morgan Freeman, I didn't know or understand about fibromyalgia.
My Husband for sure didn't understand. Really we both thought it was Arthritis. Boy was I wrong.. I didn't understand what was going on with my body. I have always worked so hard, but my body says NO now.
I have been on pain medications since 2004 or 2006 when I found out I had bleeding ulcers for I was taking so much medication with aspirin in them. So, they stopped all medications with aspirin. So been on pain medication. Now Oklahoma wants everyone to stop taking Hydrocodone and get on Marijuana. That is worse on your body.. Since people are dieing here in Oklahoma they blame it on pain medications.
I just lost my primary doctor for he is leaving and going somewhere else. I started calling for a new primary Doctor, I would ask them if they was taking new patients and they would say yes. I gave my name and birthday. Then would say oh we can't take you. I had NO Idea what was going on. I Called a woman in a office at the clinic. She told me I was banned from both big clinics (which is where the Doctors are.) Then I asked why, she said I'm not getting into it with you. Then she called me a drug addict. I found out it was Doctor Jeremy Holter that I saw in 2017. He was very nice and listened to us, but we thought he was a pediatrician, not a primary Doctor for older people.
My Husband just turned 73 in January and I will turn 71 on Feb. 27th.. So we started seeing another Doctor, I guess he got mad and banned only me from the 2 clinics.. And so did SSM HEALTH IN SHAWNEE, Oklahoma. So what do I do now? I am so scared 😱 of being taken off cold turkey.. Then what would I do?? I just don't understand why they are doing this to me. I thought Doctors , Clinics, & Hospitals was suppose to take care of people.

Some she used to bathe them, some to inhale and some with a table spoon. Left alone when she went to the farm, she would instruct us on what to do. Since we were scared of what might happen we followed the instructions to the latter. All these children now in their 30s to 70

Seeing so many celebrities being candid about their autoimmune diseases is inspiring and helps bring light to a class of chronic illnesses that doctors are still trying to understand. They deserve a lot of respect for being brave enough to make their health struggles public.

I have cancer and some mental health issues in my family, and I stopped eating all plants. This has worked wonders for me at 57yo! I have no issues that my, now deceased, family members had at my age. Amazing! I feel for folks who still hold to the food paradigms of the past; however, it's a path of disease and death. No one is coming to save you, so you're on your own. Good luck. Be well! ❤

Just for the record medically, fibromyalgia is not caused by trauma. It is a neurological condition but is almost always in conjunction with a mental health disorder, such as depression. Granted he may have had some nerve damage due to his MVA, but fibromyalgia is nerve pain throughout the body and not just the back. Diagnosis is usually accomplished via a Neurology specialist. Im a board certified Nurse Practitioner so I know a bit about this diagnosis. I met Mr. Freeman a few years ago and wish him nothing but the best of health and success. He’s one of my favorites!❤️❤️

I have what Reynaldo has. I don’t have the benefit of a doctor so I take a lot of aspirin. It’s been tougher since I don’t have a car any more. But when I need to go somewhere, even if it’s just to my corner store two blocks away and I’m in agony when I get home because of the pain, I still do it. I go to my store almost two miles away and I push through the pain. It’s annoying when my left hip tries to give out. I rest a lot. I hurt. But I force myself to move.

I have had Bell’s Palsy 3 times, 2 times on right side and once on the left. I have a crooked smile, I call it my Mona Lisa smile. I have had my smile for 55 years. I was only 27. Most of the time those who have Bell’s, have an underlying diabetes. I didn’t. I have been tested several times. There is great pain in 1the face and neck. The face has equal pressure from each side of the face. The disease lets one side loose.

I have so many of these….immunodeficiency that requires 2 self inflations of gamma globulin each month, Lupus that wasn’t diagnosed for 15 years but now I’m on a biological med that helps, diabetes that is now causing kidney failure along with the lupus and in 2019 diagnosed with a brain tumor that required 2 gamma knife surgeries and then hydrocephalus because part of the tumor broke off and wouldn’t let my cerebral fluid drain thru my ventricular leading to a VP shunt which malfunctioned multiple times leading to 4 additional brain surgeries. I also have facial paralysis on one side and deafness due to the tumor! It never ends! I’m just grateful I have had wonderful doctors that have worked with me and found some amazing medications that keep me upright and moving! God blessed me with a husband who has a great job and good insurance! No one from any of the foundations are calling me to be their spokes person! Hahaha! I just thank God for everyday I wake up and keep on keeping on!

Please change your comment about Morgan Freeman and clarify who announced his change of schedule on his new endeavor. He is a very respected man and you mistakenly put the photo of Alex Jones, the man that was sued by parents of slained children and of Alex Jones his co-worker. Maybe a petty thing but Mr. Freeman is too good to even have one person think he had anything to do with Jones.
