Talking about the Red Sox farm system and not mentioning Roman Anthony is crazy.
red sox at 21 is actually crazy
I know, should’ve been 30th
red sox should be in the top 5
Orioles fans have earned as many videos as anyone can do regarding any level, any aspect of baseball involving the Orioles. This will be considered a historic plethora of high caliber talent one day, so it’s in everyone’s best interest that video documentation occurs as often and detailed as possible. This is the formal submission of my vote for the Orioles.
I appreciate you making these videos bro. You have a new fan from Toronto Canada 🇨🇦. Cheers.
15 is crazy low for the Mariners imo, they have 10 dudes with legit top 100 potential, and already have 6 guys in Baseball Americas Top 100, which is second in the league. Sure the pitching isn't great, but Logan Evans and Jeter Martinez are two great pitching prospects. Beyond that, Harry Ford, Cole Young, Tyler Locklear, Colt Emerson, Jonny Farmelo, Tai Peete, Aidan Smith, Lazaro Montes, and Felnin Celesten are guys who either already are or very well could be Top 100 prospects by seasons end, and pretty much all of those guys except for Locklear and Ford are 20 or younger. They're a top 10 system at worst, probably better.
facts and Im not even a Mariners fan, I'm a Yankees and Braves fan
I think the only knock is the organizational gap at the top of the system (MLB ready talent), though Ford, Young, and Locklear are going to close that gap fast. I also think they are sleeping on a lot of pitching that has performed well thus far in the minors and they look to be taking an aggressive approach with. We will be a top-10 system again within the next 6 months, and pushing top-5 within a year (barring trades).
Modesto Nuts are crazy good right now too.
If you're a fan of two teams, you're a fan of none.
@@snerdterguson Nah not true one is AL and one is NL gun to head Im a yankees fan but theres a lot of reasons sentimental included that I like the braves even before Acuna, Albies, Freeman era
AJSS, Waldrep, Murphy, Ritchie, Alvarez, Baldwin, Kuehler, Lara, De Avila, Braun, Drake, Vargas. The braves don’t have a top 10 or 15 farm anymore but man the upside is so nice. A lot of talent, especially with our offense set for years, I love that we have tons of pitching talent.
The Red Sox have 60 players in the minors eligible for rule 5 free agency in December. They have at least 8 players of those that will draw draft interest. They need to trade out minor leaguers or veterans at the deadline. It's not a matter of sell or buy this deadline for them because of Rule 5😮
I'd like someone who could explain why a player is good without using stats as their arguement. What do they do well? Do they throw well or have good speed? Do they hustle and have good mental make up? Are they consistent at the plate, do they walk a lot or are prone to swing at pitches out of the strike zone, don't hit the curveball well? You did a good job of mixing both
thanks for the input. i usually try to go more in depth on players but i tried to cover 2-4 players on every teamand i didn’t want the video to be 2 hours long so this one was a little more abridged
There’s literally a stat the covers everything you said. Which is why stats exist, so we can accurately gauge the history of a player in as much detail as possible to provide the best possible outcome whenever a decision needs to be made regarding this player, whether he’s on your team or not, whether it’s as little as what clothes he likes to wear when traveling, or what pitches he can expect to see at the plate and the outcome those pitches render, or if it’s to trade him somewhere else. No matter how big or small, stats provided you with the ability to make educated guesses in a game of constant chess and a constant state of guessing. People today think players are better than players 50+ years ago due to lack of competition and truly great talents, but what they forget is they had absolutely none of what players have today. In fact, aside from less than a handful of stadiums, the only thing that hasn’t changed is the shape of the field. Everything else down to the bats, balls and gloves being used today are light years beyond what the OGs were working with, these guys had WOOL uniforms and mostly day games but still played over 100 games per year and that’s during an era where you were a straight up bitch if you didn’t play everyday, didn’t pitch all 9 innings, didn’t take out the SS on a DP ball, didn’t eat the take out slide turning a DP even if he was spikes out. 75% of the players today wouldn’t survive a season, 100% wouldn’t survive while maintaining their OBP%. Without stats I wouldn’t know any of this, baseball and stats work together like cookies and milk, that’s why Moneyball works, but not to perfection, and that’s why shifts are banned, but it’s all what makes October great. I don’t imagine you know how great October is because nobody over the age of 30 hates stats as a true die hard because the rest of us grew up filling out score cards at the stadium and treasuring that card and every minute that went into filling it out completely. So no, I won’t tell you if a player is good or not without stats because stats and baseball are one and the same, without stats I could have seen him when he was red hot and on a roll or in an 0/for slump leading to me saying something insane like “Ted Williams couldn’t hit” after seeing a 7 day road trip of him playing. “Rate a player without stats” lol, that’s like saying “judge the dance contest blindfolded”, it just can’t be done accurately at all. I never miss a game, which is how I know sometimes Rutsch is locked in and he’s gonna get on base 3-4 times or Tony is gonna hit 2 long balls today, and other times where you see them struggle and grow more into polished professionals by how they handle it. I hope I gave enough information and supporting arguments for you to see the light on this, I did my best, good luck to you sir.
I’ve been waiting for Jacob Wilson to get called up. Got put on the 7 day for a knee thing. Hits for average but has some pop for a SS/2B. I haven’t seen a scout grade of 70 for hitting in a long while.
This is why KC can't really add anything at the deadline if they are still in contention unless they give up someone on their big league roster.
I do not understand why Connor Norby is not in most top 100 prospects lists
Talking about the Royals, blowing that pick on Asa Lacy really hurt them. He was another in the long line of guys that were drafted for their faith and not their talent. He got his money, injured his back off the field and then destroyed his elbow. I was hoping that the Royals would have released him at the end of 2023 before he blew his elbow out.
Lmao putting us at 15 while we have 6 top 100 prospects (according to baseball america) is ridiculous 🤣
Phillies at 23 with 5 top 100 prospects also seems wrong
The Os are so GOATed it's insane
It seems weird that jack Leiter hadn't received some direction on pitching instead of just throwing. To change up his look to his wind up and mess with hitters timing. Improve his pitch sequencing. The little I've seen from leiter is just getting the ball and throwing, no deception, no moving the ball in and out, up and down. He's just got to learn to pitch which is different than just choosing a pitch and throwing. There's a rhythm, timing, sequencing a high fast ball with a change up at the knees. I wonder how muc. The pitch clock has turned pitching into throwing?
Yeah I think it could be a coaching thing. Rangers haven't been historically good at developing pitching prospects.
Angels have Rada and Dana who are at least 2 who should be high in the top 100 list. Dana not being in the top 100 is bullshit. Rada is at 101 rn and should be top 50 imo
Just a heads up on the Mets. Ronny Mauricio got hurt before season started and will be out all year
Was thinking the same thing about Ronny Mauricio. Clearly the narrator did not do his homework
yea and RAJ brother is tearing triple A up... i like the video and youre get better with more videos, keep doing your thing
Owen Murphy bout to have Tommy John
Don’t be surprised if you see a Bo Bichette for Cade Horton deal coming. I’m a Jays fan and something is coming. Lots of Cubs rumours.
interesting deal
Wish you put the names on screen instead of just the ranking & logo
rockies at 22 lmao
I like to rate a farm system by the number of rookies they place in the top 5 of each year's ROTYs voting. To me, if they don't make this list, then they are either just a prospect with promise or an average or below average major leaguer. Developing big leaguers are the whole purpose of a farm system...not drafting top picks or minor league performance, which many rely on as a rating system. Yes, I know this is not perfect either, but proof is in the pudding. There is only one farm system the continually lands a top 5 rookie over the last decade and that is the Astros.
2025 - ??? Colton Gordon
It’s funny to me that the Omaha storm chasers are by far the best triple A team, yet don’t really have good young players on it 😂
There’s an H at the end of Pittsburgh!
lol this guy is clearly a Yankee fan. No one else has the Yankees anywhere near the top 10.
Angels are in trouble. They should have traded Ohtani
The Giants should be in the top 3
I will like you to do the yankees.
All of em ?!?
@@gandix5516that’s what I’m sayin. I don’t they they swing that way ngl
I highly doubt that Padres prospect is 17.....🤣
Probably more like 20....👍
Mariners at 15 is laughable
Should be top 12
@@aidenawe9359 Top 5 at worst
So what I take from this is that the worst organization is the Angels. To have not made the playoffs in years and have the worst farm system is astonishing to me.
The dodgers farm is always so overrated.. it’s never a bad farm but they don’t produce stars and every “highly touted prospect” they trade doesn’t do anything either. The dodgers team is made up of players they’ve either bought in free agency or stole in trades.
Rockies farm system is a joke. They’re incapable of making anysavvy moves.
Also the Yankees farm isn’t good
Awful list wtf is this 😭
any part in particular? i’m open to argument
@@AndItsGone The Red Sox at 21 is crazy. You didn't even mention Roman Anthony. And we have 3 prospects within the top 30 and 2 in the top 15.
@hd-locks I'm lower on Roman Anthony than most, I'll admit that what he's doing in double A at only 20 years old is impressive. However, he has not shown the elite level power yet nor has shown me the ability to cut down on his strike outs for me to consider him an upper-echelon prospect. As for their overall rankings, 21 seems like a good spot, this farm is relatively top heavy, and they compare a lot to the Diamondbacks in some respect.
