We like Copilot, but the current price (which is more than half the price of a E5 license, and that just for Copilot) is way too expensive for our organization.

Could you please add some information about licence required for every security feature you talk about? My organization have E3.

Thanks for your comment. For auto-labeling policy enforcement based on discovered content or location with Microsoft Purview, it requires a Microsoft 365 E5 license. Label viewing and inheritance with Copilot-generated content, and the other controls in SharePoint, and Microsoft 365 admin center would be included in E3.

Would like to know how do you activate Copilot in a company with the option for attaching files and analyze them. This is the only feature ChatGPT plus is over Copilot and I see in this video you using files. Please share. Thank you

Copilot for Microsoft 365 allows you to reference files now natively. If you're trying this with Copilot Pro, that is a consumer option using personal or family accounts, and Copilot Pro does not reference files or have / commands to do that. Hope this helps and that I interpreted your question correctly.

Are you able to unassigned a license from one user and assign it to a different user?

Yes, that is true for both the Microsoft 365 and Copilot licenses.

it's unclear for me how to leverage Power Platform to create Copilot plugins. Is it just with the Copilot Studio (the old PVA)? Are those plugins going to be actionable from the M365 copilot chat window? How does one integrate Copilot Studio bots with Azure AI Studio?

There are four plug in types so far all rely on Power Platform to some degree or another. Once you develop a plugin it can get published to M365 copilot just like how addins are done in msoffice now. In the chat experience you have to manually enable the plugin by a toggle to use it in m365 copilot. To use azure ai studio you create a custom copilot in copilot studio and you integrate that custom copilot into ai studio through its back in settings then you use the new custom copilot plugin to deploy that as a plugin to mscopilot

what kind of positions would be responsbile for managing Microsoft Copilot within an organization? With this be a new skill system admins would learn or would it be a dedicated AI analyst responsibility?

This would depend on the organization. A good practice is to set up a center of excellence with end user champions, the IT admins managing Microsoft 365 Apps with foundational knowledge of how Copilot and generative AI works, and representation from the admins who would manage SharePoint, OneDrive, and Microsoft Purview.

In all practicality their are 4 admin types the admin copilot properly
      1. Microsoft Search Administrators - these are the most important by default just for service and content availability
      2. MIP Administrators - Autolabeling and encryption management of content
      3. Commonly office Administrators- they typically oversee office add-ins and integrated apps portal for the deployment of plugins
      4. Power Platform Admins - oversees the governance, content and use of the extensibility capabilities

Can I use Copilot to suck all of the Intellectual Property out of a Office 365 Tenancy, oh wait, Microsoft is probably already doing this...
