i wouldn't call joe rogan a conservative comedian.
i would call him a conservative, though.
But the stool prop is top tier comedy material
Yes Rogan the pro-Bernie, pro-choice, pro-gay marriage conservative. The definition has changed I guess.
@@AD-wg8ikLibertarians are conservatives
Joe is anti vaccine, anti science, transphobic, and constantly talks shit about the left and how crazy it is. Yeah he's a conservative who is constantly making up his own delusions to get mad at.
@@AD-wg8ik he's willing to sell all those things out to ensure he doesn't have to pay too much tax on his extreme wealth. He even moved to a state where weed is illegal. He stands for nothing.
Stool-fucker extraordinaire.
Matt Rife reminds me of Master Shake after he got plastic surgery
😂😂
He was gonna be a Jordache model!!
Hahaha 😂
That’s a huge insult to Master Shake. Have some respect.
Yoooo I was stuck on what he reminded me of and you got it. 😂😂😂
I saw segurain the thumbnail. He always made me uncomfortable. Now we know why ....
WHY WHY For the love of God would I have a full mouth of water while the fucking Dog getting farted on clip come up.....i almost ruined my keyboard. THAT SHIT IS FUNNY. LMFAO....SO NASTY! LMAO
Matt Rife's crowd work is pretty good, I only watched about half of his special and it was ok, it wasn't as bad as people made it out to be though. He has the wits to be a good comedian, but his popularity is still relatively new and he's not there yet.
tosh and jesselnik nail it because they pretend to be jerks and use it to make fun of racist and misogynist tropes. matt is the embodiment of those tropes. the first guys are making fun of racism and sexism, the last guy is just mean.
I always remembered watching them as a child and thinking: "These guys are definitely not actually assholes. They're making fun of assholes."
Couldn’t have said it better. I think if Rife takes a page out of Tosh’s book, he could really be funnier. Cant take stuff so standard with comedy. Step outta bounds!
Jeselnik, yes but tosh? I think he’s actually just a nodogynist and a little racist. He leans on the “im a comedian, take a joke” thing as plausible deniability about things he says but doesn’t wanna actually stand behind.
lol The last part of this is so out of touch and just objectively not true. Lol I think they are doing ok and don't need your shit advice. I am willing to bet you have never watched a full special, just out of context clips.
Jeselnik has always nailed it. His dark dry & sarcastic humor and delivery are really unique and have always separated himself from most comics. Particularly his delivery thats rly what drives home his punchlines and takes them to the next level where if other comics were to do the same without the delivery the joke wouldnt be nearly as funny. Good reference & example homie. Oh, I like Tosh too. Bit different in the stated example but hes always been fkn funny for sure
Theo is such a refreshing comedian these days. He’s unapologetically himself 100% of the time and doesn’t try to put on a show for people.
I'm not really a fan of his act, but when the Chris D'elia shit came out he was the only comedian adjacent to him who didn't come out mitigating the allegations, didn't come out trying to separate themselves from it by claiming to be ignorant or removed from the allegations, and the only party he expressed sympathy for were the women making the charges.
I don't like that he interviewed Trump, but only because he's way too passive a guy to have that kind of responsibility. When it's someone like Bernie whose policies he's more sympathetic to he displayed a high level of empathy and awareness of the problems.
It's famously hard to cancel gym memberships
that’s why he said he’s NOT your gym membership, how dense you gotta be to not even understand this dumb joke lmao
If he’s NOT a gym membership, that means you CAN cancel him
@@toomuchinfo6487 it’s literally the other way around if he IS a gym membership you can cancel him because it’s easy to cancel gym membership how hard is that to understand?
@@Alexo-nd4or ugh I don’t think you quite get it, his joke is that you can’t cancel him because he’s not a gym membership, implying the gym membership is something people easily cancel all the time. The OP is pointing out that gym memberships are actually kind of hard to cancel, so the irony here is that Matt Rife is actually comparing his cancellation to something equally as difficult.
@@Alexo-nd4or the OP is really just pointing out how the joke lacks any depth. We all “get” the joke.
The problem I have with Matt Rife, and comedians like him, is that they're all tryhards. They try way too hard to be 'edgy' - they go out of their way for it. Now, take someone like Nick Mullens - his degeneracy is effortless. His prejudice is flawlessly executed.
He doesn't go out of his way to be edgy, he genuinely can't help himself. Nick Mullens is to edgy humor what Norm MacDonald was to gambling.
Mullen is brilliantly despicable
Exactly what it is. They're faux edgy rants from tryhards i see every fkn day on the internet just dressed up as comedy. Literally anyone can do it with like an hour research of like neocon social media posts & attached with some mimicked cadence/delivery of whatever your favorite actual comedian is. My question is how tf these tryhards wind up making it on any significant stage with such a weak and lazy attempt at stand up these days. But i guess when you got guys like Rogan at "the top" the shit just rolls down hill & this is what the world winds up with. Embarrassing.
Nick has a terminal case of racist autism
Matt Rife isn’t mid. If he was mid that would be a vast improvement. Guy is not funny.
More Mexican brick schwag...
Matt rife tells jokes like your friend who’s always telling stories with no point
Sounds like you get friend zoned by retarded women lol
Telling made up stories that sometimes include you in it when they're being told to others while you're there & the expect you to co-sign their bullshit made up nonsense despite both of you knowing none of it ever even remotely happened.
Unfortunately have had run inns with these types in friend/social circles over the years. Cringe & awkward asf
Someone said he looks like a Big Mouth character and it's the most perfect description ever. Terrible show, imo.
I actually don't hate it. I mean I _do_ (it hurts my eyeballs), but after watching a couple episodes it's clear to me that the point of the show is to teach sex ed to teenagers that aren't getting taught sex ed, so even though it's not for me I think it's probably a force for good in the world, ya know?
Matt Rife jokes aren’t jokes. Zero set up, zero punchline
hes much better off the cuff than with a prepared routine for sure, his sets arent very well crafted but hes definitely quick with it and will catch you offguard sometime
Like Chapelle when he’s preaching.
@PoeticInsanity Rife is only 28. He has the crowd work down, has great timing and stage presence. Basically everything he needs to be a great comedian, but he's 28.
Watch Louis CK when he was 28. Great timing, and presence, but the material needed to mature. Louis CK at 40 was one of the 2 biggest names in the industry.
Rife at 40 is going to be anabsolute killer.
Comparing Rife to any version of Louis CK is absurd. Louis has sets you can watch from back then. It isn't his best stuff, but it isn't hacky like Matt Rife.
@@Armendicus huh wtf u on about thats all chappelle known for set up and punchline nobody even do it like he do
You know a comedian is a hack when the audience is cheering / clapping instead of laughing
Edit: oh, Hasan literally mentioned it 10 seconds later LMAO
its not cancel but we dont want to watch him, it that cancels him thats on HIM
Copy this sentiment and post it to every person involved in making the Acolyte...
@@ivovasilev2671 is The Acolyte in the room with us right now?
He said his following actually increased from people attempting to cancel him and him fighting back.
Did that dude just refer to us as "Blacks" like we all live on the same block? Is this 1963?
He’s a comedian. That’s Theo von relax
Someone generalizes for a joke? Mind blowing concept 🤯
Actually I think you’re absolutely right and should take this very personally and be angry about it online
Ppl really don’t get comedy. Huh. That’s cool though
It’s always a big red flag when someone calls us that. And then people use the “comedian” excuse to justify it. Just like how they use the same excuse for some White comedians being obsessed with using the n word.
2:05 women also hate women (amy is a case in point) like the women who were against being given voting rights. There are different generational definitions of feminism, and there's currently so much misinformation about feminism that no one can agree on what feminism is. I grew up thinking feminism was a bad thing based on the way my dad talked about it, but he doesn't even understand it: why aren't women happy with the roles they were given by men? Well what if you wanted to be more than an unpaid (and unthanked) butler, cook, maid, incubator, child-care provider whose spouse could leave them at any time for a younger model and have no savings and no "real world work experience" ? Plus, the ability to stay at home and not have a second income for the family is not even an option for most of us, so we get to do everything and get a job that pays less and get scorned for working. Men get praised for their jobs and bringing home a paycheck (which wife is also doing but getting shit on for) and doesn't pitch in around the house and that's fine? Screw that
Internalized misogyny is keeping more toxicity going than is commonly admitted. Included what I just said, but there’s objective truth to it to because of the socialization that’s finally starting to be forced to come to light. I was raised in a feminist household in practice but not theory. I remember being a little kid wondering why my mom was so mad all the time when she ran everything & appeared to do what she wanted without anyone trying to stop her. Then I went to church cuz she made my sister & I go. Made us keep our hair cut short, sit in the back & keep our mouths shut. Listening to the sermons explained to me then why my mom was so fkd up, & once I could read well, it was confirmed. I studied what she blindly believed to keep it away from me, for decades.
I would also much later learn why she was so intent on playing down our femininity & encouraging us to avoid attention. As mean & broken by patriarchy as she was, she still didn’t want to happen to us what happened to her (tho not in church).
Bert Kreischer is the least funniest famous comedian currently.
Eeeh, Rogan, Michael McIntyre, and Mrs Brown come to mind (different type of fame, but are all about as funny as cot death)
He isn’t for everyone, but he has some of the best stories.
You haven't seen any clips of "Burn the Boats" have you?
@@notoriouslybratty I suppose that's true. Some comedians are better story tellers than they are comedians, and I think that's cool. Mike Birbiglia is akin to Bert in that way, despite being different from bert in quite literally every other possible way 😂
Joe Rogan and Amy Schumer aren't as funny as Bert to me. It's a low bar though lmao
I can't think about Tom Segura without remembering the sight of him destroying an arm and a leg while attempting to dunk a basketball. It's the only funny thing he's ever done.
He used to be legitimately funny before his Podcast run. I think he stopped focusing on standup after that IMO
@randoH3000 it'd be hard to do stand up after realising you can talk about nothing for 3 hours and make 5x the money
I think it happened after blowing up on Rogan’s podcast. It gave him a boost in a lot but mostly on his podcast career. YMH got a boost so of course he has to milk that cash cow.
All I can think of with him is looking up Steven Seagal cop videos and every comment is recreating his bit. "If someone punches you you can block it like this 🙋. I've been a cop for 87 years"
@@TheMissiIe hasan fans saying someone talking about nothing and making 5x the money is bad, is absolutely peak delusion
because they are basically making fun of oppressed people while they sit in their mansions. conservative comedy is disgusting.
Oh no 😢 its worst then nazism
@@TheBlink182ifyuh no
Disgusting? U baby poop soft.
@@TheBlink182ify said only by you
meanwhile hasan preaches communism while also being in his hollywood mansion, what are you on about?
crowd work is asking literally anything and regardless of the answer saying "that's kinda gay duuude 😝"
Good comedians most often "Punch up" not "Punch down". If you are punching down more than up you are NOT a good comedian. You are simply a spreader of hate.
When you designate one class of people as acceptable groups of people who it is acceptable to make fun of and continuously punch up at and another class of people who it is never acceptable to make fun of as it would be punching down, at a certain point this kind of undermines the extent to which the former is solely punching up and the latter is solely punching down.
Conservative comedian is an oxymoron
He’s not a conservative comedian. You’re just regurgitating what someone else told you to believe.
The thin skinned shouldn't complain about not being able to offend people.
"Edgy" comics always asume people are offended by their jokes when in reality we're just cringed out
Matt Rife literally isn’t even an edgy comic. The overwhelming majority of his jokes are not edgy.
the grift with conservative comedians is just getting old…you cannot be simultaneous champions of free speech while neglecting to discuss all the horseshit on the right (book bans, abortion bans, curbing free speech on campus, and the list goes on). but more than that, it’s just overdone. Find a new shtick.
Matt Rife isn’t a conservative comedian. You’re just regurgitating the talking points someone else told you to believe, when you clearly haven’t watched him yourself independently.
@@meltedsnowman9637brother, the post is about conservative comedians. I didn’t say a word about Matt nor was it directed at him. It was a general comment…how do you not see that?
Norm Macdonald was, is + forever shall be my problematic fave. Like, I know I'd annoy him so much, but I genuinely believe he elevated the Talk Show Couch Anecdote into its own untouchable comedic form. What an amazing antenna for playing to the audience, host, other guests, camera, folks at home, whoever he was individually directing his performance to that night, etc. Just so masterful.
I will always laugh at his joke about the carrot top movie Chairman of the Board being spelled B-O-R-E-D, as if predicting the absolute flop that it would be.
Matt looks like Powdered ToastMan. And RFK jr is the older, stale version that's been sitting on top of the fridge for years
Who is rjk?
@@TheDreadPirateRoberts-jr2fk I meant rfk lol
Tom Segura seems annoying regardless of political affiliation
He screams suburban divorced dad
Matt rife looks like he had bad plastic surgery. I don't know what these women see in him handsomeness-wise
I can’t sometimes with the way Theo talks about black ppl like they’re another species. He does it with Asian ppl too
he also does it when he's talking about a group of people he hung out with last week
it's not a thing he "does with some races" lol...
@@Disconnected66 oh it is. And it’s well known. Look, I was a Theo fan too and still kind of am, but that doesn’t mean he never does anything wrong.
4:55 I COMPLETELY agree with this. Approval "comedy".
And both sides frequently do it.
Man laughed way too hard when that guy farted on a dog😂😂
QT was so concerned 😂
None of these shitty comedians come close to Adam Ray. I’ll give Shane Gillis some credit as his Kill Tony appearance as Trump vs Adam Ray as Biden was gold
Adam Ray stinks and repeats jokes
Well we all know now you have no comedic taste. Lame character impersonating and corny jokes are you favorite comedy stylings😂
Morning y'all.
It's very annoying how dumb people (on both sides) mistake "soliciting clap-ter" with being funny.
Which of course leads them to believe anyone who *doesn't* like the joke is offended.
Bobby Lee's joke was suspect.
The thing is context is key.
The black eye cooking joke would have worked better coming from a fictional politician on Veep for instance, or a drag artist. That would have been very funny, but coming from this man centered around him, as a survivor it actually bothers me because it's not coming across as a critique of culture or society so much as a reinforcement of normalizing domestic abuse. Comedy like this should be mocking abusive norms, not reinforcing them. Now, if he was pretending to be a politician or saying this is what politicians or giga chads think, or again if he was in drag or something other than it seeming like it's HIS perspective, then it would be funnier. He needs to figure out how to build the tension before dropping a line like that. Like make us like you a bit in the joke then drop the misogyny. I love offensive and dark humour but when it's lazy it's just triggering instead of being triggering and healing at the same time. A good dark humour joke based on trauma and systemic abuses is centered in healing and relief. It speaks to the truth in a way that shows how absurd our world is. It brings perspective and there is a narrative that is built around the line which leads to relief from building up to it. Humour is healing. Comedy is medicine. Just gotta be smart about it. He could definitely have played Jonah or Dan in Veep, made this joke and I would have laughed so hard. Context is key. Being a pretty boy isn't enough, he has to build his jokes better or be self deprecating in the process. He comes across smug and not humble. Pete Davidson is hot as fuck but he is humble and down the earth. He could make that joke and I would laugh. This person, who's name I don't remember lmao, just can't deliver a line like that.
Wasn’t expecting to find an such an insightful comment I 💯 agree with in the Hasanabi comment section that I was only reading through bc I find egregious stupidity in a public forum terribly entertaining
The other reply is right, this was an incredibly insightful comment. Thank you for sharing your perspective, it makes it very clear why his joke wasn't funny, it says nothing and has been told 100× over by actual domestic abusers from 50 years ago.
Young man turns boomer in real time onstage. Edgy
his "joke" was just repeating something his friend said with no follow-up. hard agree farting on dogs is way funnier
Or you’re just too stupid to understand a joke.
Have you watched a bunch of Rife videos or have you watched one compilation from a guy that wanted to shit on him, because the stuff I saw is vastly different from what you showed O_o
Mark Normand just had on Dr. Phil ffs.
I only heard of Mark Normand recently, and I thought he was totally unfunny, unoriginal, and mean. I'm not into edgy humour that punches down in general, but his recent jokes are like "ha! You're fat! You look like this other famous fat person!" It's school playground level humour.
@@CarysCreatesThings I don't think his audience is conservative so just why would you intentionally turn off possibly 50% of your audience? Weird...
@@707BertoHe was on Tom Segura’s Your Mom’s House podcast, and I think that’s the kind of audience he’s trying to appeal to now, that kind of libertarian douche bro type humour. I only watched because they had Caitlin Campbell as a guest. She’s a super kind, wholesome, and hilarious influencer who set up a coffee business with her dad after suffering 2 traumatic brain injuries, and they donate a portion of their proceeds to homeless charities and do loads of community outreach. She’s been trolled and bullied relentlessly for her looks, and Tom Segura and his wife thought this was hilarious for some reason. Some good came out of it because Caitlin’s a badass and a trooper. Her coffee business is booming & she got a book deal, so Tom had her on the show. You could see he was really humbled when Caitlin was talking about her brain injuries and how grateful she is to be alive and she just wants to make people happy. Then they brought Mark on, and the first thing he did was mock Caitlin’s weight and say she looked like Kim Jong Un.
Were they drunk?
that black eye joke is some jackie Gleason sh1t (BAM, right in the kisser) *blink laughter and applause sign* ha!
Hasan thinking farting om dogs is the funniest shit ever is so hilarious
Rip the punchline of the bill burr joke was cut out, the MIL said the same thing as him

I don't think Matt Rife is attractive. I just plain don't get it.
Take Matt Rife
No please take him
I’m too proud of this, 1000x better than any joke Matt will ever be capable of
He does Chris D’Elia doing Dane cook at his prime doing before the fall
matt rife should be cancelled for that blaccent, not because it’s offensive but because of how unbelievably cringe it is
He is the definition of try hard. He tries hard to make it look like he's not trying hard and that's insane
Matt Rife is the type to train himself to lucid dream about diddy
Matt Rife speaks like how insecure people think confident people sound
right wing comediens, always sound like jordan peterson on a druged up day, know what i mean!
lol “poppin off to some black woman” 😂 I think he has the wrong person. Rife isn’t really confrontational when doing crowd work. He’s flirty and nosey. Some of that stuff is funny though. Other times he’s just flexing his looks haha
I used to watch your mom's house until I figured out what a keep-me, boy mom Christina P is. Tom fell off years ago once his same act got old.
Same here Christina P. is the ultimate pick me
Daniel Tosh was way better at what Matt Rife does
13:38 same, lady. Same.
Dave Chappelle is the GOAT. Shane Gillis is very mid tier in general, but that's better than Matt Rife. Matt Rife is awesome at his crowd work, he stand-up was absolutely hard to watch. He comedy special was awful. Bill Burr is also an amazing comedian, amazing. Chris Rock, Kevin Hart, also great comedians. Tom Segura? His special was average and that's a compliment.
Hassan you are fkn funny dude. I know you don't practice stand up or whatever but you could. you would be as good as Gillis if you did. might take too many years though I get it, but you have to know. Further you are more honest then Democracy Now. I get the pier thing but don't be diminished. I love Glenn Greenwald but he did you dirty. You do great work. And you have made some fkn excellent C.K. or Gillis worthy hilarious lines man. you know it. You're funnier than Segara or whatever. when you make jokes.
Matt is a much better crowd worker than straight-up comedian for sure. His crowd work is good. Everything else? Meh
Dan Soder's, Sam Morril's, and Mr. Nick Mullens' specials were the only ones that have stood out to me in the last 4 years or so. But yeah, it is a very subjective form of entertainment.
The thing that gets me is why do you people even care? It's comedy, it's subjective, something that's funny to one person may not be to another but why are you making a whole video just hating? I just don't understand why you just make videos for clout and that people will give it to you for saying shit like "Hey, he's stupid." or "Conservatives are sooo stupid.". It doesn't make sense to me and I don't get it but i guess it's working for you but it seems like a pretty miserable life just being hateful on RUclips for attention. Actually incredibly sad too xD
Idunno, I am incredibly liberal but I give huge sway to comedy, I give them a shot, Shane Gillis has funny skits, his comedy is ok but he needs to work on his delivery and his reactions when it's not going well, Rogan's specials are not funny, I thought Matt rife did ok, he's very quick though, and I think it's unfair to kick a young comedian for having immature jokes, he wasn't around when these jokes were being told
Matt Rife is funny. Some of his crowd work is truly amazing, or was until he got rich & famous. But he's a horrible comedian. He can't write a bit to save his life. But he can make jokes about someone in the club with a ridiculous cowboy hat on or whatever. He's "hanging out with the boys" kind of funny where we've been known to make jokes about someone's shoes or haircut. And while that may work on stage....it's not really sustainable.
Yeah after watching his comedy special on Netflix I was madly disappointed. I used to think he was funny like hilarious. It’s hard to make me laugh but TikTok shorts just did not translate to this stage.
The worse part is him acting like he is canceled when he has a net worth of 25 million dollars and keeps getting Netflix specials. He's just using the "canceled" gimmick to get more views and attention because he can't get it on his humor alone because he's just not that funny.
"His crowd work is funny but you you can't make an actual standup with that". But Rife did exactly that. I thought that one was pretty good but I couldn't get in to his regular standup.
I find Matt Rife funny and I’m not conservative at all. It’s ok to disagree with ppl and not hate them. He’s not one of the low brow Trumpers that should be allowed to reproduce.
I’ve stopped watching a ton of them. They’re just trying way to hard to be edgy and overly political.
Damn it...rare W Husan take 😂😂😂. So damn true. What in the hell is even Matt's special. He is just like talking so like...where are the jokes?
Hasan, you're like the funniest politically adjacent dude out there. You're almost independent from either party, flat out will dump on both, also ya can pull out some laughs just pointing out dude stuff.
“The United States has become a place where entertainers and professional athletes are mistaken for people of importance.” -Robert A. Heinlein
The Bill Burr clip I didn't get the punchline, *however* it was leagues better than Matt Riff ngl.
Matts crowd riffing is funny and fun to watch on tik tok and YT shorts but i agree in an actual stand up show, he's not funny. Also sife bar i camt stand listening to comedians say the same tired line of "im checking the crowd to make sure my edgy jokes are ok and i wont get heckled" a lot of older comedians and red pills do that. Just be funny and tell jokes your a comedian. Hecklers are a part of the job too. Stop being a victim amd blaming society as the reason that you cant be funny
Would be so rad if he gained 80 lbs like Mac from its always sunny. Go on stage and do crowd work while eating chimichangas and ice cream.
Laughing at their jokes, but they not funny. Being brainwashed is one thing, but I think its gona a bit too far. Its not just clean, its smooth, Hasan...
Bill Bur has made misogynistic jokes but they were bangers 🤣 and you know he was just doing it for the laughs.
Oh man I didn’t know this dude was so hated. I remember seeing his standup special popping up somewhere as a suggestion and I only made it about 5 min in before I turned it off.

I've watched a lot of Matt Rife, I think he's pretty funny, yet not attractive. To each their own.
Matt rife talks like he knows something. Idk how old he is but I’m too old to enjoy someone his age claiming any kind of knowledge at all
