Wow! Now I'm double glad I watched this video! You also showed the Tradescantia Feeling Flirty that I bought yesterday! The leaves are so pretty with just that hint of pink or lavender. I was glad to see these plants in your video because I wanted to see if they were as CROWDED into their pots at the ones I saw at Lowe's and Home Depot! With all but the one that I saw (and bought) it would have been impossible to get your finger down to the soil for moisture, the leaves were just THAT packed together. I don't know who's to blame for that, but it was just crazy how tight those plants were in those pots. I'm glad I got to see the ones you showed. I wanted to see if it was normal for this plant to be so crowded in its pot. The ones you showed I could actually see a little space between the plants in one pot.
I love buying plants and flying with them! It’s become my favorite domestic travel hack!🤣 I wrap mine in paper and stick them in a small bag that I carry on- and they tuck right under the seat!

Hey Ashley, this morning Lowe's in Matthews had some nice trending tropicals--schismatoglottis wallichi, white knight, pink princess. And Pike's had philodendron billietiae, gloriosum, and even a Thai constellation!

Love shopping at flower land. Every plant I get has always been very healthy and the prices have been decent. I know Lansing is a bit of a drive from GR, however, Neva Lee's is a great little house plant shop and they have many rare house plants and price are fair too 😀

Oh wow! Thank you for identifying that plant with the shiny DARK leaves! A Geogenanthus! My guess on the spelling was a little off when I researched it, but I learned the correct spelling once I looked it up and saw it was called Geogenanthus Ciliatus. I couldn't find a name on the one I saw in Lowe's (or was it Home Depot?). I tried THREE times to get my Picture This app to identify it. Got three different answers which I knew were all wrong. First time the app said it was a Moth Orchid, second time it said Watermelon Peperomia. I have one of those, so I KNEW that was wrong. Third time app said Baby Rubber Plant. On top of not being labeled in the store with the name, one of the plant's leaves was pinned UNDER the pot next to it! Some of these big box plant places just have plants shoved on the bottom shelf with no light. No wonder they end up on a clearance rack. Some of the leaves on this plant remind me of the seat of a tractor. Very interesting plant that I saw for the first time yesterday. My initial thought was that it was in the Peperomia family with those round sturdy leaves. Glad I happened on this video. That Picture This app is helpful sometimes, but it struck out three times yesterday.
So happy you are in my home town. I love Charlotte plant shopping and have you to thank for my expanding indoor garden. GR and western Michigan is loaded with growers. So many beautiful gardens. Plan on going to Holland MI, which is about 40 miles from GR. Garden Crossings in Zeeland. Have so many suggestions...
After watching the video first time seeing it this fully stocked. Might have to head out there soon

You were right. That was a Calathea Warscewiczii. They had it miss labeled. The Warscewiczii is my favorite Calathea. It feels buttery soft. Much different than the Zebrina although I do have both.
I just got one of those epipremiun and where I got it called it a golden flame, I love it.

I can't believe you are in MI. Flowerland has upped their rare plant selection in the last year. I would have sent you to Holland to Jonkers where I got my 6in Thai for $120. Zen, in Rockford is a rare plant boutique shop. If you ever come back, check them out.
they do awesome Christmas decor. If you go back in November, please do a video of their store.

I got ring of fire gold dirt cheap and it put out so much growth I think I paid like 5.99 for mine I just got an cupola today for nineteen it’s really quite large

Oakdale is a great spot
King Soopers here in Colorado has a 4 leaf Thai constellation in a 2” pot for 32.99. It was about 12” high. 2 leaves variegated out of 4. Do you think that was overpriced?

Did it have really juvenile leaves? No fenesyration..that would be a very good price.
