Steve Stevens is the most diversely dynamic guitarist hands down. Always interesting to listen to. What a body of work. All starts with passion and persistence beating resistance. Cheers to you Steven Stevens.
Steve and Sammy play and write together _extremely_ well. It would not be a bad thing if they hook up to do an album together. Seriously, that shit was lit AF!
Man...just love Sammy's playing! Honestly haven't been this excited about a guitarist since Randy Rhoads...something about his style and note choices that just ticks the boxes for me... Dude just rocks! Singing with his guitar! Freakin' love it man! 😎🎸🐦🤘 Have to add..Steve Stevens has been one of my all time favorite guitarists...amazing dude and player, musician!
Nice to hear the positive thoughts on the state of guitar and gear from Steve Stevens...I agree, this is a great time to be a guitarist...excellent playing from both players.
Steve is the guy who wakes up with sunglasses and dressed in black. All he needs to do is put boots or shoes on and he is ready for the day. Such a cool rock star. Thank you Pitbull for this clinic.
Steve Stevens is my favorite guitarist... I like his rhythm-playing... his Solo's, the different styles on playing music, the Godin's and of course the ray-gun Knaggs guitar. Thank you Steve for your inspiration.
This dude is my guitar hero. Everybody knows him from Billy Idol, but I first heard him on the Bozzio Levin Stevens albums that blew my mind when I was a teenager. His range, creativity, execution and sound are a continuous source of inspiration for me as a musician.
This was really good. Not only is Steve is a great musician, but also a great speaker and seems like a good dude. Seems like he was willing to keep answering questions as long a people were asking.
Such a naturally gifted guitarist. You can tell if a player is extremely good if he doesn't look like struggling or fighting off the guitar....Very few people on earth can actually do that.
Holy cow these guys can play so amazing. I'd love to develop 1/100th of their amazing guitar playing in my lifetime. Kudos to Pitbull for a great clinic. Now to practice more guitar and save up for a custom 7 string guitar.
I thought Steve's guitar was a schecter solo 6 at first kind of reminiscent of that style cool looking guitar. Really good playing from both guitarists.
Steve Stine your the man! Can t thank you enough for the lessons you give us and the way you explain what you doing and why man ,max respect for sure and massive thanks for those true clinics keep rockin Steve!
Pelican Jay love the guitar ..... sadly, way out of my league price wise to UK with import taxes. I use a real ray gun live, and even had one put into a pedal which didn't quite work out...
@@vicesquadpunk I agree the guitar looks amazing but the ray gun seems a little difficult to engage the way Steven's was hunched over it. I was thinking like a trigger finger on the neck would be cool!
Schönes Video.....ich bin seit 1990 Fan von Billy , seit dem Charmed Life Album damals mit Mark an der Gitarre. Jetzt hab ich mit Gitarre angefangen und gucke gern diesen Kanal. 🎸
Rebel Yell tone is sick. I play that in my band. Im a little more notey kinda more punk with style of the parts but I love how hes laid back and smooth and add some subtle bends. It vibes…
Great Video. I agree Steve seems like such a humble dude..I remember at that time. SS being the consummate modern rock guitar player who played for the song, had a great tasty blues based style with the some modern flash, and who was a departure from all the VH clones who we saw in the 80's.
I used my Friedman BE in the studio for the first time recently, and from using other amps with more gain, the BE sounds much better at lower gain settings but during play back, it sounds much heavier. Thick and clear.
All my famous favorites great Guitarists I knew, all name start with Steve 🤞🤞Steve Vai, Steve Stevens, Steve Ray Vaughan, Steve Morse, Steve Lukather, Steve Howe, Steve Jones, Steve Rothery, Steve Cropper, .... anymore ?
You're among my big fan thanks so much and send your email address and phone number to communicate with fans private manager to me dear fan i appreciate your support 👋
This video makes up for Pitbull Putting a best offer option on Ebay that they just give you .50 cents off the item if your lucky enough to get a counter offer..
Bonamassa, Kingfish,Josh Smith,Marcus King with Eric Gales All of these new blues breed add rock or Jazz. True guitar is back. No finger tapping for the 98%.
Ill say it again, audiences are so cold these days. Talk about a cold reception and 0 reactions. I would love to turn the audience around and see how they did with 50 people staring off into the didtance and picking there noses
I only have one thing that bugs me and always has. SS’s nail polish. Hate it. Great guy, major awesome musician. Nothing but respect in all that he brings. It’s probably just me but yeah, bugs me…
I 'think' Sammy Boller used to play in Sebastian Bach's band. If it is the same bloke Bach was insane to let him go. I love Bach but the facts are he has a bad record when it comes to bands in terms of continuity. He left SR due to writing credits - and his band line up has been all over the place. This young bloke Boller can 'really' play - and look who he has the opportunity to doodle with, a true legend in Steve "Fingers" Stevens. SS's penned and musically created the very early Billy Idol break through MTV songs that are timeless. A Grammy winning guitarist Steve is simply a stunningly gifted guitarist. What pisses me off is Saul Hudson/Slash is considered as far as 'critics' claim a 'legend'. When too me Slash is yes a good guitarist but I mean his teen-age mate Tracii Guns [the "Guns" in Gn comes from Tacii] plays Slash under the table. Slash is without a doubt 'the' most brilliantly globally 'marketed' guitarist in rock history. Steve Stevens blows Slash away talent wise, Steve's flamenco soloing in mind blowing. I would truly love to have a KNAGGS Steve Steven's Signature but they fucking cost a LOT of money.Although in the early to mid 80's Steve played souped up Strats he has said many times "I'm basically a Les Paul guy". And every Billy Idol gig Steve brings out some of his epic Les Paul - 'and' a EVH 'Peavey' - a gift from the great man to Steve.

Steve is absolutely fantastic, an icon and a legend !
Oh man, that jam they both came up with reminded me so much of "Bill & Ted's Incredible Journey" GOD Made Rock & Roll song!
Pretty Cool!

also how tube amps are better than modelers still

At 12:54 Newman from Seinfeld makes a quick appearance. Also, both of these guys are amazing. Loved it.
Haha I love that show and Newman is awesome 🤘🏻🕶🤘🏻🎸

Steve Stevens is one of my favorite guitarist. I just hope those in attendance realize who they were in the presence of.
Exactly..
Ok.I can put my guitar away now.No.Lol.Awesome.

What a humble guy Steve is for a brilliant guitarist so cool!

Great video. So very cool to hear that Steve Stevens did some work with Tony Levin. What a collaboration that must have been.
The Bozzio Levin Stevens albums are excellent.
the tone of SS's guitar is butter... beautifullllllllllll, god loves it.
I thought Steve's guitar was a schecter solo 6 at first kind of reminiscent of that style cool looking guitar. Really good playing from both guitarists.
Excellent audio on the vid i heard every single word when the audience asked questions.
Steves 1st tune was reminicent of Jeff Beck. Great stuff Steve And a built in Ray Gun. BAHAHAHAHAH GO STEVE!!! FUCK YEA
Amazing guitar player...one of the most underrated guitar stars of all time. On top of that, he is a real gentleman, humble, and a great guy.
The playing of Sammy Boller is Awsome, spécial, he has an own Way of playing with the strings, so nice, he gives wonderful écho to the notes !

Wait, u came to San Diego and didn't play Top Gun! Lol! Awesome playing from great players!
This is an astounding upload... giant Stevens fan here.... thank you so much ✊️😊 x
What do you think about the ray gun guitar?

Wow...nice. nice conversation.
Awesome Clinic.
That Sammy Boller is an amazing performer and artist. So much talent!
Hey fan how are you doing 👋?
Love this. Opening act and everything.
Inspiration to go practice and they drive me nuts on wanting to get another Friedman amp.
That was great!
Rebel Yell tone is sick. I play that in my band. Im a little more notey kinda more punk with style of the parts but I love how hes laid back and smooth and add some subtle bends. It vibes…
Love my Freidman head. Nothing else works as well. Try dropping a gain pedal in front of a boogie. Dave is the man.
Sammy is a beast!
Nice intro Johnny! Sick demo Sammy...

This is pure gold 🎉

I realy enjoyed that...Awesome..
Excellent playing!
This is old school improve at its finest.
Ross killed it. 👌👌👌👌👌
Great Player
At 35 minutes in Steve turns into Buckethead 😂
Just...AWESOME!
It would be cool to see Sammy picked up by a big bad ass band ❤
Amazing!! thanks for posting this ;)
Friedman does great stuff
Steve, prends soin de toi , on t'aime
Stevo Stevens es un capo mal! Billy no es lo mismo sin él! Tiene un estilo super particular de tocar.

Sammy is a monster on guitar.
Hello 👋 fan thanks for your support 🎉 i really appreciate you
Steve , it's time to play live with Steve Vai, Joe Satriani, Steve Lukather and so many more
Original Stevens backing track Rebel Yell @32:00
man, that kid with the white banjo is pretty damn good!
I like how the younger guitarist doesn't have much to say. And
I like how Steve Stevens has alot to say. Minus the gum!
Wow an hour and a half
I've loved Eric Gales for years , he's such a great player , and dreadfully underrated ... Check'm out !!!
Discovered Gales this past year...freaking awesome player and cool dude!

The lil ditty is at 49:30 👍
sick
Rather see Steve playing a lp custom just sounds a lot fuller than those knaggs not to mention they are hella expensive IMO
Like to see a FRIEDMAN 20+ watt Steve Stevens head !
Great job Pitt Bull but next time maybe a mic on the questioner..
One of the Best Men I would like to meet if I want my life complet
Looks like a Rush concert: only three girls in the audience.
😛
:)
been a fan of steve stevens since i was a kid but man the gum smacking lol was it just me?
26.16 freeway jam?
AndyNyle he starts it second he starts playing about 2 min before. He took some lo
Iiberties to make it his own a bit
@stevedahl. Agree. I was just admiring that subtle nod to Jeff Beck.
When will people learn to mic the audience when they ask a question or repeat the question.
I know, right?
Stevens shows up at a friedman clinic and plays a vastly superior Knaggs guitar ...lmao

Is that Mr. "Gibson Play Authentic," standing in the doorway at 25:40, or just some run of the mill poser?
