A wonderful discussion - we thank you Paul for inviting Muhammad Jalal
Bro I listen to your podcasts
Please talk more on Caliphate specifics
Alhamidulillah Muhammad Jalal was a wonderful guest!
The answer : make hijra and live among muslims .. dont worry you wont starve or quit tgis life without getting what belongs to you
Please check in wiki : crusaders and cannibalism in maarat al noman syria
In ww3 there wont be gas cgambers but bbq's ... jews are fleeing to palestine .. muslims flowing in the west ..
Western Muslims can survive muscular liberalism by submitting their will to Allah
And then we have the monumental question of....who's interpretation of the will of Allah are Muslims going to follow?
We don't submit our souls to anyone, not even to God. We're free to be human.
@@DestinyAwaits19 basically you are free to worship your own ego is the option you come up with, wow if that works for you, let's see how soon you will realise your folly.

You never seize to amaze, brother Paul!
Sending you and brother Mohammad love and respect ❤❤
Thanks!
Listening to this for the third time this week. This is how much I value your work Paul. Please keep it up!
Allah bless you Paul, such an enjoyable discussion and talk, I've listened twice already, you guys got along really well together, greatly appreciated Allah bless you both
I have been listening to both BT and Muslim Thinking Podcast for quite a while, and I am so happy to see our Ummah has people who can reach wider audiences in an eloquent way presenting our Islamic ideas. May Allah bless you both.
BT stands for what podcast , if you can guide please
Thank you for the wonderful discussion. Now I have to simplify the content to share with my teenage kids to support them in navigating the complex reality we’re living in.
Sadly, you both made me buy so many books 😅. Jazakumullahu khairan.
Greetings from Ireland.

Another great conversation, you have quickly become my favourite channel on RUclips. Please keep up the good work!
Wow, thank you!
So much valuable information being shared here. May Allah reward you both.
In recent years, the left in the US has completely lost its compass. No matter how much we may wish to build a bridge, the terms are more often than not intolerable for muslims. I find that Sh. Abdullah Ali's observations about the conservative areas is accurate. While Bro. Jalal has some very good takes in this discussion, I think he may be off on giving the left equal footing in his assessment.
So many books have been added to my reading list after watching this. Thank you for another scholarly video!
My two cents:
1. Use the internet as a decentralized source of knowledge (kind of like what we are doing right now). The indoctrination of "muscular liberalism" will be weaker this way
2. Make hijrah if necessary. Try to go to a Muslim-majority nation that is geopolitically and economically stable.
3. Make an even greater effort to refute liberalism and all of its branch ideologies. "Muscular liberalism" will become weaker when people are better aware of the flaws of liberalism.
4. AN UNDERRATED STEP: Get into Alt-Tech. One of the tactics of "muscular liberalism" will be to censor information on social media platforms. Muslims on the internet must take advantage of alt-tech, where the censorship of liberalism will be less prevalent. Find alternatives to RUclips, Twitter, Reddit, etc. You could see it as a "digital hijrah".
Fascinating discussion and one of my favorite BT episodes so far, none more so for having one of my favourite moments, guest mentions random book and Paul goes wait a sec and grabs it from his collection 😅
Well my good friend Paul, you certainly know how to give people alot of assignments😁😁. So many books that one now has to read.

btw, Paul can you please make videos on books you recommend on each topic. and at what order, that would make for an excellent series!!
Muhammad Jalal is an impressive and coherent thinker. I think his argument here answers some of the questions that I have been asking without any solid answers so far. This is one of the best guests I've seen on Blogging Theology.

I’m an American 🇺🇸 and Muslim ☪️ and I love my country but also believe it to be “dabbatul ardh” or “Beast of the Earth” that is spoken about in the New Testament and Quran.
I dont think the daabbah is a negative thing in the Islamic perspective… what is the best of the earth in the new testament?
an unoriginal and eschatologically errant notion
According to the Prophet (asws), daabat-ul-ardh is an actual creature which will appear after the return of Jesus (asws) to mark the disbelievers on their foreheads with the arabic letters equivalent to k-f-r, so that once the sun rises from the WEST, which will make them acknowledge Allah (swt), their repentance will be rejected.

As always interesting debate for the audience. Very insightful subject for the ummah. Learning to survive and navigate the pitfalls of being Muslims in the western world. All the "isms" that Man has come up has been a complete failure poverty, greed, inequality and injustice reigning supreme. We are forever reimagining the world order instead of embracing what Allah has set up for us. After all He is the creator of us all and intimately knows our dispositions.

There's a video recently of Richard Dawkins saying that ''complexity can't come out of nothing' in an interview with London Real where he discussed the 'Simulation Theory'. There was also another interview from a few years ago with Lex Fridman where he said the 'programmer' of the simulation came about through evolution. Would you be interested in reacting to it and sharing your thoughts on it?
The Programmer of the Universe came through evolution? Sorry Love LO, that is non-sense. How can he come about after the thing he created? Richard Dawkins is not to be taken seriously by anyone. Even agnostic and atheist philosophers don't consider him worthy of attention.

A fascinating and immensely relevant discussion.
A discussion on how to save Muslim Children from the preying liberal education plus the Alternative education is crucial and urgent.
We will win inchaAllah
MashAllah. This is exactly why the caliphate is coming.
Excellent discussion. There are, unfortunately, those who are drawn to religion because they are vulnerable and are easily misled to express this through a extremist acts. Consider those in France who carried out attacks in France and Belgium. How much of the Islam which I love and converted to was in their heart? Only Allah knows but what struck me was how despite being born and educated in Europe they were alienated from their so called homeland. Europe doesn't want integration it wants homogeneity . This has led to a a situation where, in France especially, you are disliked for being brown or black and never being truly white French. An impossibility. This I see daily as I move around Europe. Even though you may be born in France, speak French, be educated in France you are and always will be, other. This can lead to disillusionment, resentment, alienation and a desire to hurt the oneswho have hurt you. Enter then the chicken hawks of religiousity who prey on these disafected young men and it is mostly young men and leads them to the path not of faith but of religiosity. A practice that seemingly bestows identity, gives direction to discontent and opens the way for violence without having ever gone beneath the surface of the religion. We Muslims certainly have grounds for grievence, and as those who are the root causes of grievences do not listen nor perhaps even care, it is tragic but unsurprising it leads those vulnerable ones to violence. This then presents those of a Godless ideology or a supposedly Liberal ideology an opportunity to destroy or at the very least neuter anyone of a religious sensibility. In their eyes, wearing a kufi, those, beard and praying 5 times are not signs of higher values but of shallow religiosity signalling danger. Tragically for Muslims those very outward signs which maybe a sincere attempt to draw closer to God, also present the so called Liberal with a problem. So whether we are sincere or shallow in our religion we will always for them, be the enemy. The only way forwards for us is through sincerity of faith, submission to God, for His sake.
Pardon my long rambling discourse.
I pray for you brother Paul and all our Muslim brothers and sisters in these times of malleable truth, the one truth to which we bear witness excepted. Keep up the good work. Truly enlightening and engaging.
A huge thank-you!
where can i buy the books you guys are talking about? for example Islam as Political Religion: The Future of an Imperial Faith is barely available on amazon but for almost 53$ i mean if that's the only possible cost to get the book and it's worth that much then fine but i will probably have to wait for a while to actually have the budget to buy it buch less all those other books :(

4 pillars of a true masculinity
1…Devotion
2…Good character
3….. Humility
4…..Generosity
Something very important is lacking:
5…. Reason
Someone that shows these 4 traits has reason. Is reasonable. Someone claiming to follow reason but is not devote, does not have good caracter, humility and is stingy is not reasonable and has no reason.
@@karimb972 Yes of course, I don’t disagree with you. But the problem is, would he really apply this reason without partiality? If you’re only reasonable when dealing with outside but when it gets to your belief, you can’t be reasonable enough to question what it’s objective really is then you’re not a reasonable person.
You mentioned devotion, Devotion to what exactly? Family? Work?
@@georgeeinarsson5956 Reason is not questioning everything brother, it's putting forth worthwhile questions and then finding ways to answer. Reason is a pathway to truth not truth.
@@mohammadsaminirtisum6152 So how do you know what’s truth if you don’t reason and question it?

I'm sorry but there is some distortion of our history. Hz. Umar ibn al-Khattb ran away from the Battle of Uhud, as he did later battles too, and mentioned by our own scholars of repute!
He (Umar ibn al-Khattab) was anything but a warrior! Our own scholars says this, some even quoting himself as the one who ran away from battles. Here is just one reference where he compares himself climbing up the hills of Uhud like a mountain goat!. This is the same battle where the Prophet was seriously injured because most Muslims , except a few like Ali Ibn Abi Talib and Zubair ibn Awwam were left to defend the very exposed founder of our religion:
"Umar preached on the day of Friday and recited Surah Aal-e-Imraan -and liked it to recite (it) - when he reached this verse he said: 'When it was the day of Uhud we ran away, and I ran away climbing the mountain, and I saw myself running and jumping like a mountain goat. Then I heard people saying: 'Muhammad has been killed!' I said: 'Anyone who says Muhammad is killed I will kill him! Until we all gathered on the mountain, and all of this verse revealed'."
Ref: Sunni source: Tafsiir al-Bahr-ul-Mohiit by Abi Hayyaan. Vol. 3, Pg. 97
If ever there a brave man - the bravest of the brave - then the Prophet new him and said:
"هذا حديث الرسول - لا فتى إلا علي ولا سيف إلا ذي الفقار "
"There is none brave like Ali and no sword like Zulfiqar" - haditth (saying) of the Prophet (s), at the Battle of Uhud.
We should not distort our history!
American Muslims used to vote overwhelmingly Republican before the Iraq war. I, personally, just see this as a return to Conservatism. But I think Muslims must always been vigilant.
They can survive by supporting cause of khilafat movement or efforts towards pressurising countries if their origin to establish Islamic state on grounds of Quran and Sunnah towards khilafat.....ultimately one country will have to be head quarters of khilafat... Muslims wherever they live must preach Islam to gradually spread and change western systems gradually.

Sir you have a vedeo in Urdu?
As a as Christian, the Scriptures tell us exactly what will be the outcome before the Lord Jesus Christ returns and caused all to bow the knee and acknowledge Him as Lord. The Scriptures state that things will become progressively worse, including the increase of homosexuality in the Last Days (Luke 17:28). As in the past, when nations reject the one true God, God has handed over these wicked nations into the hands of other false leaders, religions and “gods” as punishment. In this case, the Book of Revelation teaches us that a one world army/religion will take over the world. This AntiChrist religion will deny the Father and the Son (1 John 2:22) and will behead those that refuse to submit to it (Rev 20:4). Sound familiar? There is only one way to escape the coming wrath of Gods and entrance into heaven and eternal life, through the Lord Jesus Christ, who died for our sins on the cross and rose again the third day for our justification.
In Islamic traditions, the Dajjal, or the great deceiver, will come and claim to be the Messiah and finally claim to be God himself.

Can you recommend some Islamic sources I can use ? I want to do a parallel study of the End Times comparing Christianity and Islam . Joel Richardson write an excellent book , The Mideast Beast, where he makes a convincing argument from Scripture and Islamic sources that our AntiChrist come , is the long awaited Muslim Mahdi and the false prophet, also mentioned in the Scriptures that will work alongside him, will be Israel’s awaited false Messiah. But I need solid Islamic sources to do my own study . Appreciate your recommendations.

Actually to say there are three gods is not Trinitarianism . The doctrine of the Trinity is ONE God, Father, Son and Holy Spirit, exactly as Jesus taught:
“Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost”: (Matthew 28:19, KJV)
@@baalbuster9294 I will give you references later. Let me reply to Joel Richardson on few points
1. The Mahdi is not the Messiah, will not claim to be one, and certainly will not claim to be God or divine in anyway.
2. Muslims believe Jesus, peace be upon him, is the Messiah. He is distinct from Mahdi. A different person.
3. Mahdi as far as I know from Sunni's description of him will do no wonders, no miracles. He is a leader who unites.
4. The Dajjal will claim to be the Messiah and claim to be God. He will do wonders as one of the way to convince people to follow him.
5. The Dajjal, according to a hadith, will promote hell or fire and masquarade it as heaven and water. Which society now is accepting sins as something good, when clearly God has forbidden, in the name or liberalism and humanism?
6. So how could the Mahdi be the anti Christ, when he himself do not claim to be the Messiah, do not claim to be divine, do not perform miracles to attract people, and he is very much against sins?
@@baalbuster9294
You can't claim Trinity and yet say believe that God is Only One.
When actually you believe God is 3 persons in One Essence ie Trinity.
That's different from Absolute Monotheism in which God is One and is immortal therefore can never be Human or die ,Has always remained Transcendent and in the Unseen.
@1:53:50
The conveyor belt theory is utterly false! Islam is a complete devotion to Allah which leads muslims to attain the status of believers. Allah almighty says in numerous verses in the Quran that believers will be admitted into paradise, not muslims in the literal sense. But being a devoted muslim will make you a believer. Allah knows best.
What is the authenticity of Hadith’s ?All the Hadith’s are written after almost 199 year of prophet and the narrator was not belong to the Hejaz.
Then there goes the Five Pillars of Islam. Because they are not contained within the Quran. They reside in the Hadiths.
@james smith Most "secular scholars" don't hold any of the Judaic, Christian or Muslim texts to be historically reliable.
However, orthodox Muslims consider the Hadiths to be foundational to Islamic concepts of morality, ethics, law and culture.
@james smith Just don't say that in one of the countries that have blasphemy laws.
One Message Foundation, by Syeilh Uthman Ibn Farooq: Are the Hadiths reliable?
@james smith many/most hadith are corroborated by hadith from other narrators (who were themselves judged by stringent criteria) which have been scrutinized voraciously by scholars. No one ruler, group, or party could have successfully subverted the whole body of hadith scholarship and pass it through as doctrine with any level of legitimacy. In fact, many compilers of hadith were intent on leaving unsubstantiated, weak, and/or fabricated hadith in their compilations so that history may bear witness to the spectrum of narrations and hence develop an understanding rather than fall prey to indoctrination by unscrupulous intentions.

1. Time of Khalifate has passed, now is the time of Malikat. It's in our Akida (at least khanafis') don't see any point in discussing it.
2. Muslims in the West, the moment they leave dar-ul-Islam they are separated from the rest of Umma, from their traditions, from their Heritage. It's inevitable for any migrant.
3. Define liberalism. If its basic idea is the total freedom for any person to choose anything in one's, life including gender, then liberalism is a natural enemy of anything Islamic. If youngsters fall for some seemingly less controversial liberal ideas now, they or their children will regret it later, when they will be exposed to the rest of this total freedom which now seems to paradoxically get a rather totalitarian form. Besides the basis of liberalism is atheism.
4. Islam we have today is not the same everywhere - before the fall of Ottomans every Muslim (at least in Turkic and Persian countries) had to have a Pir - a teacher of Islam. Not only in aspect of practical knowledge but also in the theology and in the Ihsan or mystic, personal, true and sincere belief. With this institution of faith gone, we had many changes - much more than most Muslims do realize. Plus many countries went through an era of socialism, nationalism etc. The result is - our tradition with all its inner balances and counterweights is hardly the same as it used to be 100 years ago
5. Extremism is derived either from poverty or from ignorance, or both. You have to blame Saudis (at least prior to MBS) and the West for Wahhabi movement, which basically filled the gap after the fall of the Ottoman Empire. Local ummas in the west are extremely vulnerable to this ideology because, again, they are separated from the real tradition. But to be honest most youngsters wearing beards/hidjabs I met in the west did this not out of their devotion but to feel proud, better than others etc. whilst their knowledge and humbleness were lacking.
Beautiful comment. I especially liked your analysis on point 5. Just literally had a discussion with 2 good homies earlier today about that very thing. Why a certain movement seems to be attractive to a certain type of person. Certain characteristics seem to fit will within that movement. In my experience it's more so the unlearned, new reverts, and mostly southerners. But yeah you bring up great points. It does seem to be this devotion to arrogance, a love for "otherizing" and a very prominent lack of knowledge and humility.
@@Snakejuce_ thank you! Who do you mean by southerners if I may ask (I represent the northernmost Turco-Muslim ethic group, so basically any other muslim would be a southerner for me as well as much of Europe:D)? Yes, I also do agree with your point reg certain personal inclinations and characteristics - both innate and acquired. Take for example modern jihadists movements (of course it's more of a form rather than a consistent movement, but it's a separate huge topic) - it's likely such a movement would attract some violence-prone or simply aggressive people - due to the nature of this ideology. Or even moderate salafism - it often becomes a lure for... arrogant people (based on my personal exp - I refer to devoted believers in the first place) who like to see themselves as holders of some lost knowledge thus being superior to the majority i.e. the rest of us. Again this ideology almost demands it although for any more or less educated traditionalist who lives in the real world and interacts with real people most of salafists' ideas would appear extremely primitive to say the least. it's an oversimplification and there's more dimensions to this matter, at least more than can be discussed in the comments.
I guess any sociopolitical or religious movement, especially comparatively new and active one works and attracts followers in the similar way, be it Revolutionary communism, radical woke neo-liberalism or fascism.
