- This is the story of the last of the wars in the eighteenth century between Britain and France for control of North America: the long standing and deep-rooted animosity between the two countries made this final and dramatic confrontation inevitable. The French Indian Wars are best remembered for the battle of Quebec, where Wolfe’s brilliant, daring leadership and disciplined British musket fire routed the French during a short but brutal battle. Wolfe himself was shot and killed; he did not live to see Quebec surrender on September 18th, or the British take control of Canada.

10:30 the separate columns wasnt the major issue, the major issue was the lack of advanced guard or scouts beyond a few hundred yards ahead of the force.
Braddock had the personnel to scout 1-2+ miles ahead and report back periodically, but for whatever reason he didn’t do that. He was a very poor combat soldier lack in any ability to adjust to changing situations

Why the loud background noise and music?
Love the history but the piano music is killing it. It's hard to focus on the actual message, the historical information.
As a descendant of Robert Rogers much of this is obviously familiar to me. His treatment by Washington was disgraceful and had he stayed on the side of the colonies the Revolution might have ended sooner. So it goes.....

I love history and am enjoying your story, but I am p***ed that there are so many mispronounced words. If you can't pronounce names of some places right, let someone else do it. I was born and grew up in New York State and I know how to pronounce names of places right.
