As someone who has lived in Turkey on and off for a total of 6 years and the rest of my 21 years in Sweden I can with certainty say that how Elwind viewed Magifelix was very unfair but also understandable. Turkey as a country is extremely social, sometimes even to a fault. Whereas Sweden as a country has a culture filled with very reserved and private lifestyle people. A great example of this is how Elwind points out how MagiFelix stands and walks, sure his movement can be very shy even for your regular Swede but for someone who lived their life entirely in Turkey, it looks very off to them. The part about him not eating and not mentioning he is hungry until he is asked is something MagiFelix should've one hundred percent worked on back then but also understandable in that current situation. Here you have a guy in an entirely new country with a completely different culture than what he is used to and is not aware of the social rules and norms, how to behave and/or talk. I mean, the moral of the story is simply that being good in a competitive environment is not the same as being good at a professional level. It's weird how people can't figure this out. There are more skills needed to succeed in a PRO tier than simple skill alone. Jensen was apparently a monster in soloQ as Incarnation, no? And he was never more than an above average mid laner compared to the international professional roster.
Jensen was a beast in his prime. Just because he was worse than Faker doesn't mean he was bad. He wasn't Pawn but he wasn't Kuro either. Jensen has international success actually beating an Asian team in a b05.
Hearing the guy talk about MF having weird movements and being anti social appearing, I can relate but im not as bad as he sounds 😆im introverted and much prefer my own company but i can deal with social situations without giving these kinds of vibes to people. I feel sorry for MF lol, it does suck being very introverted/antisocial sometimes.
Now imagine how everything would've turned out if instead of making fun of him they would've been willing to help him little by little, he was willing to carry their bum asses on League after all
Using AI for Lol creator's voices (who might watch this) is really weird bro... I hope you get permission before you do something like that. They're not public figures in the same way as Trump or Obama, etc. It's really off-putting and cringe to hear lol
Why would it be weird? It's basically just being used as a text to speech, it's not even being used to make them talk in the first person or say something inappropriate.
@@EpicVideoMaster11 It's weird because you're using someone's likeness without their permission, nuff said. Not taking it a step further to say something terrible doesn't make it okay. It's kind of grey because these are statements from said people, but it's still crossing a line imo. Saying something verbally is perceived differently than written word, even if they mean the same thing. Imagine hypothetically that someone wrote something that they later learned was misinformation, but later on audio was released of them saying that with a really accurate sounding AI replica of their voice. That's a PR disaster waiting to happen
@@18skeltor He's using their words without his permission, his actual images too without his permission, his gameplay again without his permission, the quotes could be made up for all we know as well. If the extent of the critique is just likeness being used without permission it is a weak one. If it's fake information then regardless of ai voice there is a problem.
@@EpicVideoMaster11 These words are in public view, they're posted to social media, are they not? Gameplay, okay, I've heard of people having problems with that before but in online games like League, there are 9 other people in a game who can view the replay from your perspective, thousands if it's streamed-- it's a little different than reuploading someone's Let's Play. AFAIK other than AI, only Skinwalkers can reproduce your voice, and the ethics of that are overshadowed by the terror you'd be feeling from witnessing it... so not a good comparison I guess. Like I said, it's a grey situation because everything the replicated voices are saying is words that the people replicated have used (as far as we know), but it definitely feels off. Maybe that's not good enough of an argument, that the vibes are off. Idk. Just my two cents.
that's nice u try to try new things like putting yourself irl in the video from time to time and the ai voices but this is probably not the way, you should just summarize what the guys said instead of making them speak with ai voices and it's better to just have ur voice, we don't need to see you and it's weird seeing u like that when we're immersed in the video if that makes sense...
Personally i just wish wed live on a reality that both NEMESIS and Magi would have their second chances, both are talent that the west needs to make competition better
MagiFelix just gets punked by these loosers like Astralis because he is an easy target. And he is an easy target because he is a bit odd (nothing wrong with that), because he doesn't actually like the people around him (completely understandable, look at them) and because he is smarter than them and that frightens them (justifiably).
he had social anxiety and didn't really work on it, it's bound to happen since it's a team game he coulda streamed and gotten very successful by being the rank 1 and 2 player at the same time, even if you're not funny people will watch you for the skills
this just proves you dont need to be smart to be good at something. this guy is fucking braindead like how can you not make a lot of money in his position
@@hazmat1 In theory, I would agree with you on that. In practice, it weirded me out, can't lie. Not like it was bad per say, but very off putting to me personally.

There is a big difference in skill expression between soloq and competitive. At soloq you can get more LP than everybody else (and a big amount of) if you just dont surrender and embrace that mentality of MagiFelix. In competitive you don't have that luxury, you have to straight outperform your enemies and MagiFelix wasn't good enough to do that.

I feel sorry for MF lol, it does suck being very introverted/antisocial sometimes.
great vids man, keep it up
Coach Curtis clip at the start, love to see it
Now imagine how everything would've turned out if instead of making fun of him they would've been willing to help him little by little, he was willing to carry their bum asses on League after all
he sucked at tcl btw no other team then crew wanted him cs of social skills and no team work basically

Great video but i really dislike the ai voice impersonation
@@18skeltor
He's using their words without his permission, his actual images too without his permission, his gameplay again without his permission, the quotes could be made up for all we know as well.
Idk. Just my two cents.

rl clips like 14:39 seemed random and unnecessary to me, even felt uncomfortable.
no hate, just stating. love the vids
that's nice u try to try new things like putting yourself irl in the video from time to time and the ai voices but this is probably not the way, you should just summarize what the guys said instead of making them speak with ai voices and it's better to just have ur voice, we don't need to see you and it's weird seeing u like that when we're immersed in the video if that makes sense...
Personally i just wish wed live on a reality that both NEMESIS and Magi would have their second chances, both are talent that the west needs to make competition better
Nemesis? yes. magifelix? no. he's a weirdo that doesn't have any irl skills just look at him and you know he's a bum.
@@BAEHELPFUNYyou seem like such a amazing person.
1:20 you forgot forellenlord
MagiFelix just gets punked by these loosers like Astralis because he is an easy target. And he is an easy target because he is a bit odd (nothing wrong with that), because he doesn't actually like the people around him (completely understandable, look at them) and because he is smarter than them and that frightens them (justifiably).
he had social anxiety and didn't really work on it, it's bound to happen since it's a team game
he coulda streamed and gotten very successful by being the rank 1 and 2 player at the same time, even if you're not funny people will watch you for the skills
this just proves you dont need to

why use ai voices, meh
I thought it would add, more variety than my voice for 1 hour

@@hazmat1 In theory, I would agree with you on that. In practice, it weirded me out, can't lie. Not like it was bad per say, but very off putting to me personally.

so basically... magifelix doesn't have a career because he has severe autism? As someone with autism, that seemed to be what the turkish streamer was disparaging him for.
28:50 I noticed in the youthcrew clips in this video (yes, selection bias) in every game MF was ahead, like 3/0 when the team was 8/10 and that botlane was griefing.

Imma boost some engagement for this banger
There is a big difference in skill expression between soloq and competitive. At soloq you can get more LP than everybody else (and a big amount of) if you just dont surrender and embrace that mentality of MagiFelix. In competitive you don't have that luxury, you have to straight outperform your enemies and MagiFelix wasn't good enough to do that.
Nice delusion
@@lulyhead Just facts. You end up gaining a lot more lp if you don't flame, don't surrendering etc. If you think that's delusion you haven't experiment enough in soloq

Elwind definitely didn't say it in a polite way and may have exaggerated due to his emotions but come on. It's extremely unlikely that someone who plays this much league, at this level, can be a well adjusted person irl.
