This is how marriage is. You see something that your partner would like or craves and you get it for them. Not because you have to but because it will make them happy. The look on Lamb's face as he was remembering his past was so adorable. When I first met mt husband he would tell me of his favorite Nigerian dishes. So one day I went to the International grocery store and bought all the ingredients for goat meat pepper stew. Got the recipe from the owner of the store and made it for Walt that night. Even though it wasn't perfect he was so happy to have me make it for him. It's the little things like this that make marriage perfect.

This video really took me down memory lane, I remember when I was a kid it was my birthday and my parents happened on a trip and couldn’t throw me a fancy birthday party, so this aunt of ours that was babysitting us at the time baked a bucket of Chin Chin for my birthday, I remember her telling me to please bear with her cos she couldn’t afford to bake a cake for me, but for me this was better than a cake cos we were snacking on it for days afterwards. This was over 30 years ago and that memory brought a tear to my eye. Thanks for sharing your lives with us, God is love.

Aww that's such a nice gesture. My partner showed me a car accessory he said he "would get if he had the money" he got in a minor car accident and used his extra cash to fix the dent in the car and the other guys car so I messaged the people selling the thing (in my opinion a totally pointless thing cuz the car doesn't need it to drive but whatever) so he doesn't know I'm getting it for him. I don't know what it is some kind of bumper accessory. I knew he had messaged asking the price so I messaged them too and told them I want what jay_ asked for 🤣 the person running the page asked if I have a sister like me lol. Before I moved to the U.S, back in Nigeria my mom would buy me Gala and the Lacasera while in traffic. Those guys would chase after the bus while in traffic in order to get their money or give you the snacks. This really takes me back to those times. I really miss Nigeria 🥺

@@mickeylove5897 I think it's because Ling and Lamb both said Ling does not like to cook. Lamb seems to do the most cooking but she does make food that he enjoys like her sauce. But they do seem to go out more often and I think it's because she loves to see him try new food that neither of them can cook and how he will react to it. It's a great deal of content on their videos about that. I don't think she's "not a cook" she just prefers not to cook like she said. I can cook very well I just prefer not to. It's a preference that doesn't mean Ling cannot cook it's just that she would rather not. Maybe that's the confusion with the OP's statement. Ling and Lamb just balance each other out so well and seem to make each other happy. It's a beautiful thing. I wish we all could have that in our lives. 😎👍

You guys brought up my memories from growing up in South America a place called Suriname 🇸🇷 and the food there is to die for with every mixture of people you can think about. My Italian mother-in-law makes these all the time. We call them Ciciarelli (pronounced Chich-er-elle-ee). Freshly fried with salt, and my kids use to call them popcorn. She typically serves them in soup (not a sweet dough). To be served sweetened, she rolls them in honey after taking them out of the fryer; because they had very little sugar in her village when she was a little girl growing up during the war.
This Is not an Italian snack.... You are describing a totally different thing. Chinchin is made with flour, egg, butter, sugar, milk, nutmeg, and baking powder....made into a dough,flattened out and cut into little pieces...deep fry in vegetable oil and bring it out when its golden brown..... I made it for my Arab friends when I went to dubai and they all loved it( I love my country nigeria, we represent anywhere we go)

It was Valentines Day. He brought me home from a bakery a large heart shaped cookies with our initials on it. EJ +CH. He walked all the way home carrying in a flat box. He was so proud and I loved it!! 30 yrs later and I still remember!
This reminds me of something my parents said. My Mom is Mexican and my Dad is Irish. My Dad's Mom, my Nana, was a gourmet chef that specialized in French cuisine so my Dad knew how to cook. My Mom knew how to cook some Mexican dishes but not familiar with some "American" dishes. One night my Mom made a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese for dinner. She never made it before. When it was time for dinner she served my Dad but was worried because it didn't really look right. My Dad got his bowl and it was basically cheese water with macaroni noodles. She didn't drain the water that you cook the macaroni in. My Dad told her that she actually needed to drain the water before adding in the milk, butter and cheese packet. The thing is, he still ate it. Well he drank it but he still did because he knew she tried. Now, out of all of us my Mom makes the best Kraft Mac & Cheese. Everyone makes mistakes in cooking but when someone you care about tries to cook something and it doesn't turn out right that doesn't mean it should be tossed out right away, unless it's really inedible. They tried and if you don't try it to let them know what went wrong, they will not learn how to do better like my Mom does now with the Mac & Cheese. 😎👍

My partner showed me a car accessory he said he "would get if he had the money" he got in a minor car accident and used his extra cash to fix the dent in the car and the other guys car so I messaged the people selling the thing (in my opinion a totally pointless thing cuz the car doesn't need it to drive but whatever) so he doesn't know I'm getting it for him. I don't know what it is some kind of bumper accessory. I knew he had messaged asking the price so I messaged them too and told them I want what jay_ asked for 🤣 the person running the page asked if I have a sister like me lol. If I knew how to get it on the car without him knowing I would but can't have everything. Whatever it is I'll give him the box it comes in. Very sweet.

Before I moved to the U.S, back in Nigeria my mom would buy me Gala and the Lacasera while in traffic. Those guys would chase after the bus while in traffic in order to get their money or give you the snacks. This really takes me back to those times.

@@mickeylove5897 I think it's because Ling and Lamb both said Ling does not like to cook. Lamb seems to do the most cooking but she does make food that he enjoys like her sauce. But they do seem to go out more often and I think it's because she loves to see him try new food that neither of them can cook and how he will react to it. It's a great deal of content on their videos about that. I don't think she's "not a cook" she just prefers not to cook like she said. I can cook very well I just prefer not to. It's a preference that doesn't mean Ling cannot cook it's just that she would rather not. Maybe that's the confusion with the OP's statement. Ling and Lamb just balance each other out so well and seem to make each other happy. It's a beautiful thing. I wish we all could have that in our lives. 😎👍

My Italian mother-in-law makes these all the time. We call them Ciciarelli (pronounced Chich-er-elle-ee). Freshly fried with salt, and my kids use to call them popcorn. She typically serves them in soup (not a sweet dough). To be served sweetened, she rolls them in honey after taking them out of the fryer; because they had very little sugar in her village when she was a little girl growing up during the war.

This Is not an Italian snack.... You are describing a totally different thing. Chinchin is made with flour, egg, butter, sugar, milk, nutmeg, and baking powder....made into a dough,flattened out and cut into little pieces...deep fry in vegetable oil and bring it out when its golden brown..... I made it for my Arab friends when I went to dubai and they all loved it( I love my country nigeria, we represent anywhere we go)

Years ago I dated someone who didn’t have much money. It was Valentines Day. He brought me home from a bakery a large heart shaped cookies with our initials on it. EJ +CH. He walked all the way home carrying in a flat box. He was so proud and I loved it!! 30 yrs later and I still remember!

This reminds me of something my parents said. My Mom is Mexican and my Dad is Irish. My Dad's Mom, my Nana, was a gourmet chef that specialized in French cuisine so my Dad knew how to cook. My Mom knew how to cook some Mexican dishes but not familiar with some "American" dishes. One night my Mom made a box of Kraft Mac & Cheese for dinner. She never made it before. When it was time for dinner she served my Dad but was worried because it didn't really look right. My Dad got his bowl and it was basically cheese water with macaroni noodles.
She didn't drain the water that you cook the macaroni in. My Dad told her that she actually needed to drain the water before adding in the milk, butter and cheese packet. The thing is, he still ate it. Well he drank it but he still did because he knew she tried. Now, out of all of us my Mom makes the best Kraft Mac & Cheese. Everyone makes mistakes in cooking but when someone you care about tries to cook something and it doesn't turn out right that doesn't mean it should be tossed out right away, unless it's really inedible. They tried and if you don't try it to let them know what went wrong, they will not learn how to do better like my Mom does now with the Mac & Cheese. 😎👍
