It's a tough one this. As an ex greenlaner/Enduro rider myself I know how these altercations can ruin your day out. However when I see the irreparable damage in my part of North Wales a couple of irresponsible lads have made just up the road from me, just because they fancied the challenge of a bit of off route hill climbing, I can understand the hostility. I'm beyond furious at what they have done to an otherwise pristine hillside. Unfortunately for the responsible majority of riders, they have left behind a permanent scar on the landscape that now represents all of you in the eyes of most people. Real shame because it used to be a fantastic hobby.
As a South African living in the USA, it's great to see interactions where anger doesn't turn into violence. If that was filmed over here, punches would have been thrown. Or worse.
Hi. Loving what ur doing, I'm a fairly new subscriber. Had just a quick question. Hiw do u find ur fuel injected 2 stroke cos I hear they can foul plugs etc. I own a KTM 2010 250cc 2stroke carb'd. Just wondering for when I do decide to join the dark side lol😅. I'm down in the South West. Cheers... jj
Nice one thanks for subscribing 👍 being honest i have had no issues at all, been a gest bike so far. I've had carb'd and injection and for this type of rising there not loads of difference. It is easier not having to mix the 2 stroke oil though 😁

Wait is that the Wiltshire Byways guy? I literally found most of the lanes i ride because of him. Sad to hear. Thanks Jimmy, im riding the lanes you showed me. Rest in peace dude.
lovely video mate, i recently posted one of me going down a green lane and timestamped where i had an interaction with someone and would love your opinion on it 👍
The first altercation is pretty much the earliest video on a well documented issue, and one which Jimmy Kawasaki/WiltshireByways (the gent in the video - now sadly passed way) was involved in trying to get sorted. It's complex, but I think I understand it, so bear with me....: The route which he was trying to ride is described on the definitive map as "FOOTWAY FROM NORTH OF GREENFIELD FARM TO NORTH OF JOURNEYS END, SHURDINGTON, CHELTENHAM" but then has a USRN (Universal Street Reference Number) of 40102240. It is shown by the OS as an ORPA (Other Route with Public Access), which doesn't really clear things up. The issue is that the term 'footway' has no legal standing, but generally refers to a pedestrian route alongside a street/highway (the pavement/sidewalk, if you like). The TRF, and other motorcycle clubs, have argued that for there to be a 'Footway' recorded on the Definitive Map, there must also at some point have been a 'Highway' there, alongside which it ran, that has just been missed from the map, and so there are rights of road: "Once a highway, always a Highway" The Landowner argues that the use of the term 'Foot' implies that there are no vehicular rights but accepts that it has been used by horses, so it probably so it probably has a status above a Footpath and so should be a Bridleway. Gloucestershire Highways are none the wiser and, as far as a couple of years ago, were sitting on the fence and leaving it for one or other party to find some proof either way. The TRF have been working with the council to go through archives and try to sort it out, and have agreed not to use it for the time being; the woman in the video has been shouting, swearing and threatening any unwitting people who try to use the route, thinking that they are riding legally. I'll let you decide who is probably right...!
100% the outdoors is for everyone! Great upload showing we all just want to enjoy being outside, I think as long as we all respect the green spaces and each other what’s the issue.

100% agree and I think you will never win an argument but we can all at least communicate in a decent way 👍👍

I like the interactions that have a positive outcome, like that lady. They all left with a little laugh and a friendly handshake.
100% agree mate. Might have painted bikers in a differly light for her. 👍
R.I.P. JIMMY😔

I find it helps to take your helmet off. They will see you as a human (provided they are not violent, in which case definitely keep it on)

Just checked it out mate, love it and keep it up 👌
@@DITLO58 thank you mate, you too absolutely love the content 👍
