Hey Rich, naturally curious as I am and being a fragrance lover too, I for one appreciate this format. You're saving others the 'curse' of blind buying and it's here for posterity. Coincidentally this series has been like a perfume World Cup, some made it through to the skin testing round ( quarter finals), should save the winner/s for Sunday! Appreciate the efforts this takes. 👍
@@RichMitch Just an idea....How about a Rich Mitch Recommendations.....over the course of your channel you have inspired me to search for a fragrance that was not on my radar. I didn't blind buy, did my research and if able sampled. And some of them are in my forever in my collection.... collection! I'm sure there are many others here that have benefited too. Could be a pre-planned video where subs let you know and you could present them in what they mean to you. Of course in the comments the sub could add similar. Or in a Livestream the commenters could engage with the pre made list....just an idea for a Christmas special or even a regular seasonal vid. Cheers.
Please keep doing sample set videos, I find them so helpful and interesting! I have Musc Tonkin which I find salty and floral and unique. I’m wanting to try Aziyadé as BO is my jam. 😂
I love it, "do as I say, not as I do" - Imo, as a "hobby" it's also a practice, amirite? ..And love your overview of this attractively priced/valued brand. Fougère Bengale & Aziyadé are certainly now on my radar. I find cardamom can also portray a 'Fizz' like effect, and paired w ginger on top, I'm intrigued. 🙏✌
Thanks man, I try not to recommend someone to do what I do as I don't wanna spend someone else's money and them be disappointed. This way is definitely more responsible
It's not to worry, I'll keep doing them as I love it and people in future may find something out they didn't know before. I'm nearly finished with the set so it's yours soon 🙏🏻
@@RichMitch Thank you. Oh, and just to say I do love me a fruit pastel and agree the black ones are the best, though I do have a soft spot for the green ones.
Hi Rich Tim from Claire's live chats here. Great reviews. I have Le Cri and Azemour les Orangers which I love. I really want to try Mal Aime and Ambre Russe. Working through a Gallivant set but not finding a winner there quite.
Hi Mitch, this is my first post to you! Congrats on your video series on discovery sets, they're great. I was wondering what perfumes you've bought, if any, from Parfum d'Empire? Greetings from France
Hello! Thank you for commenting! I didn't buy any from the house until last week I saw a bottle of ambre Russe on sale and so I bought one! I also liked vetiver bourbon too
@@RichMitch Thanks for your reply! I've fallen head over heels in love with Vetiver Bourbon and I am probably going to buy Fougère Bengale, possibly Wazamba and/or Mal-aimé, which I've found very intriguing and bitter. I have yet to try Ambre Russe, which I'm going to test today if possible. Where I live, there are a few perfumes available from that line. Anyway, I would've thought you'd bought something from the line after the last video. What stopped you?
@@emmagutierrez1408 my pleasure! It was price and availability, they aren't easy to find and I try not to pay retail prices except in rare cases. I managed to find a seller on eBay selling them at a very good price. also, I have been going through a phase of selling a lot of perfumes and not buying many. I do think the house is very good and the perfumer is talented, no doubt
@@RichMitch yes, I know what you mean with trying not to buy too many bottles. Funny anecdote: I was in Paris last July trying to find a shop that sells Parfum d'Empire. I checked online, and as I was very near one such shop, I went. In fact it was no shop at all but their administrative and creative seat. The window was open, I (discreetly) looked in, and who was there? Marc-Antoine Corticchiato himself! I knew him from pictures in Nez magazine. I felt very shy suddenly, greeted him and left. Silly of me, though I couldn't help it.
Love these sample set videos! ❤️❤️👏👏👏
Cheers Rachel! Plenty of bottles knocking around still too

@@LEgoiste not a bad idea at all, perhaps I will do just that. Thank you for your words, which have you looked at that I've talked about?

@@emmagutierrez1408 what did he say?
Mitch, my sample of Cuir Ottoman smells a bit fecal on my skin? Did you get that at all from it?
I almost wonder if what I get as “fecal” is what you describe as the “rubbery” aspect of it.
It could very well be. When I smelled Oudh infini I got a very rubbery vibe and everyone says that's double fecal
