Beautiful restoration! Great work on the finishes! I enjoy the way you show your processes and ways of correcting old repairs & damages! Very well done, thank you for the entertainment!👍🤓
After you said IRISH music is the best working music i had to pause the tv show and listen..............you are right it is the best....Thanks for the tv show
Cool restoration. I like your own approach, which is less skip of the process, having a background sound, unboxing of replacement and modification of its paint based on the image and came out perfect. Keep up your work. Cheers!👍🏼
Awesome, Of all the restorations I see, you are the first to paint the tractor frame the right color. On the web there are several restorations, but they are just redoing the original ... I love the innovative and well-personalized side of this video ... Hey just once in sixty years, it's worth it hardly innovate! Well done! 👌
There is no need to apologize about the lighting in the cabinet unless you are having issues seeing what you are doing. Inside the cabinet it is incredibly dusty due to all of the abrasive media and for some spectator to think it should be clear as day, they need to get a dose of reality. Great job on another great restoration. That hauler was probably the joy of several kids who probably spent many fun filled hours playing and pretending as they were hauling their cars around the house and yard.
Another awesome restoration, best one so far, the black chasis and the black hubs were an incredible detail, it looks more like the real one. Just for me, I would have painted the grid white and put the extra stickers to be much more closer to the picture, but that is just my opinion. Congratulations !!!!
Those nylon punches are cool. I ordered some 1/4", 5/16" and 3/8" Delrin rod from McMasterCarr for another project. Cut up some 3 1/2" section to use a punches.
Very nice very nice. I ❤ the fact you chose to go with designing something different instead of cookie cutter usual same thing style that a few other channels stick to. I get the fact these restored can be sold for a nice price. That's cool if you're restoring to make money off of it then i see the need for keeping with originality as much as possible but if it's for a collection then why not restore it as you like to see it. Again i like the way it turned out especially seeing that out of 5 favorite colors of mine blue is #1 though i like illusion blue more than navy ☺
You used to be able to buy a new, replacement windshield/window piece...on ebay for $12, in case you 're interested..I got one a few months ago.. Just checked, but don't see them now.. but.. just letting you know.. Great restoration!..
Thanks! I have a vacuum in the setup, but the light is too dim, too far to 1 side, and the glass is fogged up from too much blasting. All bad excuses for problems that I should have addressed.😀
Might just be my eyes, but it seem like if you'd connect a dust collector to the fitting on the left side of your cabinet, you'd be able to see better.
I've watched a lot of restoration videos of Tonka toys but I believe you have done the best restoration I've ever seen.
Thanks Danny. I really appreciate that.
Beautiful restoration! Great work on the finishes! I enjoy the way you show your processes and ways of correcting old repairs & damages! Very well done, thank you for the entertainment!👍🤓
I owned one like this truck when I was only a child, but in military green.
What memories!!
😌👍🇪🇸
The green would be awesome!
Indeed,@@RepairRestore !!
It was really cool.
Thanks for sharing your restorations!!
Your vids result relaxing and therapeutic to me!!
🧔🏻👍🏻🇪🇸
I like that you painted the rivets to match the body. Very Cool.
Hi Michael. I had to brass wheel the zinc off of them before I powdercoated them. Definitely worth the effort.
Wow I actually had one just like this about 10 years ago. I sold it at a yard sale. Fantastic 😀
You made someone's day for sure!
@@RepairRestore I sure did lol
I like the colors, great job on the details
Thank you! Cheers!
Marvellous renovation.
Thank you so much!
A masterful restoration job, and I love the choice of colors.
👍
The colour scheme looks really great, especially the dark blue on the cab -- it is an improvement over the all yellow original.
Gave it a little more pizzazz!
Absolutely Gorgeous!!!!
Thank you so much!!
That thing looks killer, nice work
Thanks Tim!

Thanks Todd. I am glad you enjoyed it. Have a blessed day.
Beautiful job! And l like how you kept one of the original tires....maintains a touch of its original history.
Thank you! I knew that I had to replace some of them, but I was glad that I could keep the outside ones original.
Gorgeous!
Thank you! 😊

Hi Ronald, I agree, I like true restorations, but I love to change it up a little.
$35! Man that’s amazing.
I could't pass it up for that price!
Wonderful piece of work. I think you got something going here. Loved the video.
Thank you very much!
Fantastic 👌. I assume the thumbs down people hit the wrong one. Be proud fella.

I actually smile when I see a truck with this much honest wear. It wasn't purposely destroyed: it was just fully enjoyed.
Awesome job
Thank you! Cheers!
Fantastic!😀
Thanks! 😃
Came out absolutely gorgeous. I'm a new subscriber!
Thanks for subbing!
As always great restoration! I enjoy watching your videos and the work that you do.

High Kings playing in the background 👍
Excellent ear ! Irish music is the best garage music!
Can't believe I just discovered your channel, you should have way more subs. Count me in as a new one! Also, superior restoration and love the colours
Thank you very much. You are very kind.
Amazing!!
Thank you so much!!
Did you find it and repair it, or was it contracted to you. I bet that brings up the value of that Tonka truck considerably.
Wow!! Super-nice restoration,man!!
Congratulations from Spain!!
Love it...!!
😌👍🇪🇸
👍
Great Job
Thanks!
Beautiful
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome ✨🎈
Thanks 🤗

I like changing it up a bit. It suits my personality better!
Agreed - I enjoy the variations as much as the originals! Good comment!
Great job! (And no need to apologize for the light in your blasting cabinet)
Thanks! I rescind my apology!😀 No need for self deprecation.
Holy shit, I had that toy! Along with the big dump truck. I actually used to ride in it. So I was damn small!
One of my nephews who is 1 1/2 years old saw a Tonka Roller in the corner and immediately sat down on it and rode it around. No instruction needed!
Outcome is great🙂
Thanks Tim!
@@RepairRestore
Welcome🙂
When I got my blast cabinet the light provided did not work so I went out bought one that had a magnet and was rechargeable. Great work!
Good tip. Thanks.
That truck is definitely ready to haul some classic Detroit muscle down the highway once again.
Oh yeah!
Very nice looks great ..just subbed
Thanks for the sub!
Good my friend ❤❤🌺🌺
Thanks 🤗
Wow! Beautiful resto, well done man.
By the way, I was always partial to "Lilly the Pink".
Thank you very much!

Xzibit couldn't even pimp this ride the way you did👍!
Me: No way he can restore this
Earl's Repair & Restore: Hold my tools
😀
Nice restoration, you should've either found the main back ramp piece or made one
Nice. Try using a vacuum to improve sandblasting vision.
Thanks! I have a vacuum in the setup, but the light is too dim, too far to 1 side, and the glass is fogged up from too much blasting. All bad excuses for problems that I should have addressed.😀
nice job! Now all you need to do is fill it with some restored cars!
Definitely!
I had that exact one when I was a kid (brand new so you can guess how old I am...) 😁
45?
@@darkygacha9901 HAHAHAHAHAHA! I wish I was that young again :)
I will guess 67. That would give you 30 years on me !
@@RepairRestore close, 65 great stuff on all your work BTW
I had same truck but a '59. Its was light metallic brown
That is an awesome color!
The paint finish is BEAUTIFUL! Did Tonka make cars to fit on the trailer?
Yes they did, but I do not have any.... yet!
I had a later version of this. It came with 2 mustangs and 2 rancheros.
Very nice!
I just subscribed to your site.
Thanks Paul and welcome!
I want 1961 Tonka motor transport
I just looked it up.. Check with Gasoline Alley lToys & Antiques...It's where I got mine..
Gasoline Alley is awesome!
BTW my Dad's name was and my middle name is.......Earl.
We are part of a small club!! 😀
Might just be my eyes, but it seem like if you'd connect a dust collector to the fitting on the left side of your cabinet, you'd be able to see better.
My vacuum might have been getting plugged! 😀
Point connex.
Why can't you paint the tanks silver.
I could have done that, but I was trying to match the truck in the picture.
Looks great!! One question, what make and size air compressor you use with your blast cabinet?
I just use a Kobalt 60 gallon from Lowes. I think it was $450.
@@RepairRestore thank you!!
I saw the thumbnail for the video. Can I make this into this? I sure hope so or this video is going to suck. Nope I couldn't do it. Oh well. Bye.
Hi Terry. Thank you for watching. I hope that you enjoyed the video. Have a great day.
@@RepairRestore
I did. I just thought the caption on the thumbnail was funny if you really thought about it.
