The development D is gooing through is better than I ever thought we'd see in this show! See my full uncut live reactions to the episodes over on Patreon www.patreon.com/BrandonReviews
D cutting one of Petrola's clone down was an interesting development especially seeing his inner turmoil at Peltrola's world domination and realizing it clashes with what he wants. I find it sweet and an intriguing that he doesn't want the four he's connected with to die, that it bothers him immensely to imagine such a future and he dreads it. I like that by the end of the episode he steels himself to fight both sides since he wants to go after a future he approves of so I'm looking forward to see what actions D takes and how this might eventually clash with Suzukiri.
Honestly the part when D stabs Peltrola in the manga is so hilarious because he stabs Peltrola and then proceeds: Peltrola - ‘Huh?’ XX - ‘What?’ D - ‘XX what did I just do?’ Before slicing Peltrola down 😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣 I loved that.
I really liked seeing how fighter D did have that internal struggle. In how he wants to take over the world, and become rich and famous. But at the same time don’t want his new humans friends and companion to die or suffer. As those two things are at odds with each other. So it was interesting to see how he went against the boss. Then I also liked the combat scenes especially with the first ranger captains. As they each had such awesome powers/gadgets. Like eating energy blasts or having a rifle which fires lot of energy dragons at it target. But one of the wtf ones was the yellow’s remote which let her rewind attacks and mute things, alongside other stuff
‘Greed? I’m as greedy as they come. Bad moves? Why wouldn’t I use them? I’m a bad guy, an Invader. I won’t be satisfied until every single thing goes my way. Would I lose? Nah, I’d win.’ Cour 2’s going to be crazy and that’s an understatement (hoping we get a Season 2, too.)
Did they skip this dialogue or something I remember there this was in the manga but I don't remember if we have seen it in anime maybe it's going to be in future?
Everything before, ‘Would I lose? Nah, I’d win,’ is his speech from the manga (D says this at the end of the episode, but it’s a bit different.) ‘Would you lose? Nah, I’d win.’ is a JJK meme/quote (the face is also a bit like the panel.)
Yup... seems like its not just simply about humans vs monsters its about a clash of ideals. Which is exactly what pushed fighter D to rebel against his own race which, if you remember, accepted their defeat and fate as a sub race to humans. And then again the only one who fled the group was also the fat fighter who died for his ideal. At first I felt it was stupid for him to turn against Peltrola and "feel affection" for his comrades, but then when the episode explained itself you understand that world domination doesn't mean massacre or chaos. Peltrola wants chaos, the rangers want a fake society stalemate, he even sees Hibiki's ideal as a threat to him but D's ideal of world domination is a wholesome future of greatness with a wholesome chief that he can respectfully praise and let cooking 😆
What really nails everything down for D is the realization that both the Rangers and the Bosses see him and his fellow Foot Soldiers as low level garbage. When you're watching Power Rangers/Super Sentai you never think about the foot soldiers. They're just there to make our heroes look cool in a fight sequence. D realizes that the future he wants can't be achieved by working with Hibiki, Susukiri, the Rangers, or the Bosses. He has to fight for himself to get what we wants, and use whatever means necessary to do so.
I mean it is totally believable and it makes sense, from the perspective of someone who wanted to challenge the fake power rangers, and suffered all the while in that same pursuit. Only to have a boss of yours to show up and "say don't worry i am here to handle it" nah i too in that moment would try to get rid of them no target stealing to D's main objective 😤
While i am cheering for D but if he encounter more of his old bosses, then I wonder how he would he face them in upcoming fights and not just them but the Dragon Keepers too🤔 it be epic no doubt of course 😊
0:18 well to be more specific he's againts the bosses but not the duster since those are his actual comrades (his people) the bosses on the other hand are for him the people that abandoned them and left them with the dragón keeper. Also as You saw in this episode his idea of world dominación it's different
Peak episode The animation was God tier and the sound effect when that green ranger girls eats the beam is sick We got to know how complex D's character is too this is why he's one of my fav character rlly a unique one
But yeah I totally see where D is coming from. He believed the bosses were dead so he never held anything against them for being treated like slaves by the rangers for 12 years and almost tortured every Sunday. He then finds out that one maybe more are still alive and have been alive the whole time but left him and his fellow Footsoldiers to suffer without a care. And then the final nail in the coffin was hearing that Peltrola probably killed Ranmaru who D was beginning to care about…hearing that was what lead to D stabbing Peltrola before realizing what he was doing. At this point, all D cares about is himself, the footsoldiers in the base, XX, and his team of cadets that he bonded with plus Hibiki and Suzukiri probably. So his enemy is everyone else who stands against him be they executive or rangers just like he stated.
When Suzukuri got that remote it reminded me of that Adam sandler movie click😂 also it was funny to see Yukino running away from petrola and acting as if she bumbed into a wrong person.
I've been sleeping on these past few episodes... But now that I've caught up... I've got to say... This is ABSOLUTELY PEAK! I can't tell where it's going to go at all and every episode has been a rollercoaster. You don't know who's dying and who's surviving at any moment like XX could've died multiple times during the past few episodes with Blue on a rampage since his assistant got badly injured. Understandably so... He doesn't seem like a scumbag... That title is probably red rangers. The more D has interacted with his fellow losers the more he sympathised with them and formed a bond that he didn't expect. And now when he had a chance to join forces with the god. He was conflicted and when it mentioned how it was gonna murder everyone, he moved without hesitation that even he was surprised to what he did. It's a shame it was only a clone otherwise D would've ended this early. And you can see how D's ideals have started to shift ever so slightly now. His view of world domination has been shattered since he doesn't want humans to be treated like they were and potentially murdered thanks to his efforts of destroying the rangers and now everyone is free to die at the hands of their bosses. And Sakarama's view of changing the force from the inside is ringing more and more true but D won't just admit it yet. He now has the task of destroying the boss who he had once served. I can't wait for next week. The action and animation this episode was top tier!!! The amount of detail that went into Blue's 3D model and the animation behind the dragon shotgun and the other attacks like the remote control Suzikiri had and the other moves. That was all so goddamn awesome. 2 more weeks until we go on break and I think it's a good idea since I saw how many Action animators this episode had and it was getting to that unhealthy production point where you'd have 5-10 names attached to a single episode which shows that they're struggling to meet the deadlines now but they're holding on and keeping it consistent or the best they can. Seriously props to the team. Great review Brandon keep it up!
I think there is a mole in the cadets. That girl who ran into Peltrola did not reveal him. Kinda makes sense, otherwise how could Peltrola hide himself in a Keeper base without anyone knowing.

Respect for D for just fighting for himself. He truly is a monster, he's fighting to be greedy, to get he wants.

Can't wait to see more of the bosses and how D will overcome them like playing a mega man game 😁
Yeah like Mega man but bloody and added evil power rangers in the mix 😅

@@Loreiblusw0rd3054 to be honest i want D to convince the bosses to make peace

There's nothing worse than having to choose between two evils

She totally was so terrified by that lol
I think she is a mole. She knows who it was but did not tell the others.

Great review Brandon keep it up!
The way they make virtually everyone a protagonists and antagonist in this show is insane.
Fighter D is basically becoming more and more conflicted and I like that. Its not just world domination he wants but to do it with some friends
D's character certainly has grown a lot.
It's 2 core? Damn I hope so
rumored to be split cour should be announced after episode 12
Duster liberation is what I’m thinking is going to happen
D is a greedy beast but I understand lol
D decided to walk path C, his own path. I wonder what Suzukiri probably said to Peltrola when she paused everything.
I think there is a mole in the cadets. That girl who ran into Peltrola did not reveal him. Kinda makes sense, otherwise how could Peltrola hide himself in a Keeper base without anyone knowing.
Yeah or there is a mind control ability they can use one or the other for sure
who is right when everyone is wrong?
Suzukiri is best girl. After seeing her remote weapon theres no doubt shes best girl
