  • CAMPUSBOARD, WHAT ARE WE TRAINING?
The Campus Board has been used in training for decades as one of the most important instruments for conducting targeted exercises. But what are we stimulating with the different Campus exercises? Grip strength? The pulling power? Perhaps it is important to answer these questions, otherwise what is the point of prescribing it without knowing what qualities we are stimulating.
On the other hand, Campus Board exercises are exercises that integrate traction strength and grip strength (with their derivatives RFD and/or power), so how can we know at what intensities these different muscle groups are being worked? Since each one is probably working at different intensities. It is also important to answer this question both to know which muscle groups we are working on at the desired intensity and to know what the limiting factors may be when performing different exercises or movements.
In this and the next episodes we will address these topics in a concrete way and I will show you the force-time graphs (among others) of the different Campus exercises to understand the most important thing, what we are stimulating.
If we don't measure it we can't know!
