- Hey guys! In this episode I'm showing you how to build a custom tire rack out of some 2x4s to save floor space to store your winter or summer tires. It will cost you just under $20 for the materials to build.

I build it like how I build a box when framing around mechanical , like ductwork , easier to build when the frame is built on the wall peice by peice ! Good job man 👍
Would this be strong enough to hold tires mounted on rims?
How far apart are your supports?
Nice to see the safety Crocs in 2wd mode.
I have a similar setup holding 8 wheels. Basically the same construction except that I tilted the horizontal beams inwards so that it forms a flat part for the wheel to rest on. Also added some fencing brackets for a bit extra peace of mind
Thanks, works well for me as well.
Appreciate the video! Put mine up yesterday!
Cool
Thanks! Greatings from Norway :)

I am subscribing on this😊
Nice build! What are your wheel dimensions? Like the diameter. I’m trying to figure out the best width for the wheels to sit snug
$20 in May of 2020. $130 in May of 2021 lol
Imagine may 2022 lol
@@frankcastle4010 yeah. This post sure aged well didn’t it 😂😂
550$ in 2023 💀
That's a very solid tire rack. I want to build the same thing. Do you have dimensions or plans for this?
Yes it works great. As far as dimensions it will vary by the wheel size but this one is 8 ft long by 24 inches wide. It fits 3 full sets of wheels for my needs. Your tires may differ a little.
Do you have the dimensions of this still? The video you said its 9ft long by 20 inches, but i saw a reply to a comment from you saying it was 8ft by 24 inches. And how far apart are the two supports in the middle?
I'm sitting here watching you build this rack and I was like shit, i need a work bench like that! and then say you made a video on how to build it, putting this video on pause and i will be back after you show me how to build that bench!
Don't forget to subscribe I will be doing a part 2 on that workbench very soon.
Thanks for watching.
What is the dimensions of the side supports. What are the dimensions or distant between the top rail and base as shown
I liked the way to get a sturdy rack.
Just worried about the max weight to hold.I was thinking also about the weight.
I got my 2 cars tires sets on steel rims🕳🕳🕳🕳
I have three sets of tires and rims on it now and it's holding fine. The biggest thing is making sure you have them secured into studs.
What size screws to attach the 2x4 with the stud wall? How long and dia?
Suv tire rack dimensions
She looked…tired…😁
Will this hold tires with rims installed?
Yes
Is this style of tire rack okay for long term storage say for your seasonal tires? Will they deform or sag if you don't move them every once in a while?
It should be fine for long-term storage. As long as you're not forcing them in and they set on top.
I was thinking also about the weight.
I got my 2 tires sets on steel rims🙃
Now it costs 120 😂
How to build a tire rack for under $20 when you have over $1000 worth of tools and equipment to make it 😀
All you need is a drill and a saw. You can rent a saw for cheap, or have your local hardware store cut the lumber for you 😊
This is unsafe. You need lag screws going into the studs, not wood screws. This will rip off the wall at some point. This guy built the same thing and it ripped out ruclips.net/video/Ccr714enIig/видео.html
