    Thank you for this! This needs to be talked about! I've lost 2 brothers! (2000 & 2013) 💔 It's very hard on the ones left behind. The pain doesn't end with them, we just carry it for them. People need to reach out to others & check in on the ones that are struggling. 🙏

Yes, these are troubling times for sure ranging from the COVID-19 health crisis to the economic damage it has done, and how all of the above affects us all emotionally and mentally. Crises, whether this one, or others we will face, can be challenging, harsh, and painful to experience, but they also present an opportunity for us to learn about ourselves, rise up to challenges, and hopefully grow. I hope you and your love ones are safe, healthy, and managing to navigate the crisis and just life itself the best you can. Life is challenging enough, even without a global pandemic.     Indeed...this is truly heartbreaking....we have all been touched by someone who has decided to end it. The sorrow of someone passing never leaves you...you eventually get over it...but it never gets forgotten....Thanks Dr.Kim for shining a spotlight on a hidden issue many folks shun away from ever discussing it; but we can't solve it; if we can't understand. These people are important and only Love and understanding is the first step in helping these souls.

      Thanks for checking out the video. I’m sorry to hear that you are in such a dark place right now. I don’t know your situation, but if relationship stressors are a part of it, that makes it very stressful. I know our situations are not the same, but I went through a very painful divorce many years ago and between that and other life stressors, it felt like my life went off the rails. My depression and the hopelessness I felt convinced me that I was alone, that no one could understand and help. I got very close to making a bad decision. That dark place and feeling tries to convince you that you have nothing left and no hope, which is false. The situation may be crappy and suck, but the fact that you’re breathing, alive and are typing these comments and thinking about your situation means you have opportunity. Opportunity to make choices that can hopefully help you get out of that dark spot little by little. Some people make choices and never have that opportunity again. So I hope you can find ways to get some help, reach out and talk to someone to help you make some small steps to find and feel some hope. It may feel like you have lost everything, but you still have the choices in front of you everyday and the opportunity to make choices towards getting to a healthier place. Hope you get to a place where it doesn’t feel as dark.

      Andrew Kim M.D. Hi DR Kim, thank you very much for the reply. I am really sorry you had to experience the dark road I am on. I don’t want anyone to be on this dark road. Not even my enemies. I have been on this road for about 3 years now and it seems to be getting darker and darker. I really can’t trust no one at this point, especially my family. I hope that I see some light on this road. Thank you once again, I really can see that you want to help because you have been on this road before.

      Andrew Kim M.D. I hope you’re safe as well. It’s my birthday but I share it with a popular streamer I watched who unfortunately and tragically committed suicide last year. I was looking for something to watch in grief and I found this video at the top of my feed and it really made me feel happy and that we can all do our part to save lives. If the healthcare system is flawed in ways, I think it’s up to citizens to embrace each other and let those who are struggling know that someone cares for and loves them.

      You're right. Sometimes they do, but not always. Maybe that wasn't the time or place they wanted to talk about it or open up. But, if it was someone who trusts you or knows you decently, hopefully, on some level, it sent the message that you're available and willing to listen, when they feel they can open up. Or, it planted the seed, that they can open up to someone and people are willing to listen, even if they eventually end up reaching out to someone else. Thanks for the comments and adding to this much needed dialogue. Hope you're safe and all is well.

    People who commit suicide have committed sin and that sin is kill they killed themselves as sad as that is they made a choice there's a place after death when they take there own life for God said "Thou shalt not kill," they need help even
    Psychiatrists commit suicide to like I said before "Thou shalt not kill," for if any Man or Woman take there life there is consequences to there action there pain does not end there because they chose to kill themselves for that place after death is "Hell" for that place is everlasting pain and turmoil. Seek out Jesus Christ for he forgive sins.
    Ecclesiastes 7:17 - Be not over much wicked, neither be thou foolish: why shouldest thou die before thy time?
    Revelation 21:8 - But the fearful, and unbelieving, and the abominable, and murderers, and whoremongers, and sorcerers, and idolaters, and all liars, shall have their part in the lake which burneth with fire and brimstone: which is the second death

      Everyone has a right to their opinion, and suicide is a difficult topic for Christians and other religious followers to wrap their minds and hearts around. And depending on which faith, denomination, church you attend, you are likely to hear different answers. I am a Christian, and trust me, I know that Christianity, was not meant to be a "feel good" religion. But, all I can say i the following:
      #1: Only God has all the answers and is the only one in position to judge.
      #2: There is no single place in the Bible that clearly states that somehow, suicide is the "unforgivable" sin of all sins. Actually, the concept of "unforgivable" sin is actually considered a contradiction to the essence of the Holy Spirit in itself. I could be totally wrong. But, I pray that through God's mercy and grace that there is hope for these individuals after death. But, that could be my own selfish desire, I admit.
      #3: Knowing that me, you, pastors, others out there will never know the definitive answer. Rather than spending time and energy having academic debates about what happens to souls after a suicide. We should focus our energies on trying to help raise awareness and help prevent them from happening in the first place. We can't change what's happened to those who have tragically died. But, I feel like we can all agree that our energies and time are better spent trying to show love and compassion and serve others who are alive and might be struggling with this.

      Even a Christian knows this for it is written
      1 Corinthians 3:17 - If any man defile the temple of God, him shall God destroy; for the temple of God is holy, which [temple] ye are.
      I am just reading as its written for it gos on to say
      1 Corinthians 6:19-20 - What? know ye not that your body is the temple of the Holy Ghost [which is] in you, which ye have of God, and ye are not your own?
      These people do need help that I know with all my heart however these people made a choice and they have to live with it forever.
      For it's also written

      I truly believe this with all my heart and mind and soul and I really want them to be saved because Jesus Christ is the only one who can redeem them.

      @@hyperfusiongear9050 I will not disrespect Dr. Kims site, this is all I will say because not a lot bugs me but disrespect and misrepresent the LOVE of/from God. If you are going to be hyper sensitive and relish people in pain to death, do NOT use Jesus Christ or twist scripture of your religion as the executioner. Haven't they suffered enough?. I will only say this once because as far as I am concerned your lack of knowledge on scripture is far lower than your lack of LOVE. Romans 6:23

      @@lizmoody9771 first of all I am not condemning them I am warning them. Second Judas Iscariot committed suicide because he betrayed Jesus Christ with a kiss all for thirty pieces of silver. Plus Judas Iscariot admitted saying I have sinned in that I have betrayed the innocent blood after that he hanged himself so in a way he killed himself some say he was forgiven others say he went to Hell but very few say he went to his own place. noticed that Judas Iscariot try to give the thirty pieces of silver back to the chief priests and what was there respond And they said, What is that to us? see thou to that. People who made a choice about taking there life is sad really sad and painful however there are consequences when you take your life seriously. You don't ever want to see God after someone takes his/her own life through suicide especially if the person is a lost man or woman. And third when you said to me
      lack of knowledge and scripture and Love I was like ok I forgive you for that because I love you I won't go to far and arguing with you. However its are job to warn people and exposing the lies of this world

      Even as Christians we make mistakes however if you see a brother in trouble in the flesh help him ask him what happened. For the lost generation we should warned them about dammntion and hell to flee from it and help them to seek jesus Christ it's a blessing to read about God and his glory however the lost man and woman don't want to hear it but because I love them i will tell them about the salvation of the glory of Jesus Christ is it hard in this day and age yes it is and always have been.
