I'm sad knowing that the game will end in less than a couple of months... but I'm also happy to see they gave a conclusion to it. We aren't always that lucky.

It seems this storyline combines the plot points of KOF XI and KOF XIII while incorporating a conclusion of the overarching story of AllStar that started when the game first came out. It's revealed that Shine is the true villain who hoped to use Saiki to throw all of existence into chaos. I'm a bit disappointed that the story got condensed here instead of allowing more character development, but it's nothing big. The game developers will probably use the story arc that started in KOF XIV for the next story chapter of AllStar, but they'll probably wait for another year or two before doing so to maintain customer interest in the game.
