At first I was dumbstruck as to why this took 12 hours, but then I realized that in order to get all rings you need to farm covenants offline. Then I was stumped as to how you managed it in 12 hours.
I did this in just over 23 hours. That was basically a speed run on my part(not optimized just flying through each section with the only goal of collecting items for achievements). I will never be anywhere close to this run. What I just watched was amazing. I am still not good at beating the twins consistently and you made them look like they were lost.

The reason Tarkus didn't die in the Cats is because part of the bridge still has its collision as a ground plane while it's falling. If you stand in the right spot (it's not all that exact) you can break the bridge and ride it down without taking fall damage. You just got really unlucky that he was in the right spot. The DLC bridge also works like that.
Aidan MacLear I used to not know that the bridges could be used as ladders, and thought this was the only way to access smouldering Lake and gravetender

I believe the whole "locking items behind covenants" thingy from the games is just bad design. Even if you can farm the item in some mobs, it took you over 2:30h to get just the items from one covenant. Then you have three more to do. Make the items hard to obtain, but don't make them near impossible for people playing after launch, come on.

The timer is based on the in-game timer. When quitting out it doesn't stop counting right away and needs to reset to the actual time when loading in. Happens every time he quits out

It may add too much time for the miniscule benefit it would give. CGSR+3 is good, but the time it would take to reach it is probably not worth it.

The +2 is found in the nameless kings boss arena in ng3. Any time saved from the drop rate is lost on the stronger ng3 enemies

The timer is based on the in-game timer. When quitting out it doesn't stop counting right away and needs to reset to the actual time when loading in. Happens every time he quits out
